In our pool overlooking the sunset enjoying the view and some coktails. We built our house from scratch. It has all the comforts of home with a Costa Rican touch.
Why the Owner Chose Coyote
My friend bought in this area a few years ago; and when I visited his place I fell in love with Costa Rica all over again. I have been vacationing here since 1991 but was a little discouraged with all the building that was going in other areas of Costa Rica. Then I found Playa Coyote, what can I say WOW.....Playa Coyote is still undiscovered by the crowds of tourists. Very pristine compared to the areas of Flamingo, Jaco, Quepos, Nosara, Playa Del Coco, Samara and Tamarindo. If you want crowds go to those places I just mentioned, if you want peace and tranquility come to Playa Coyote and the other small villages in this area.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The beach here is 10+miles long, and there will be many times when you are the only one on the beach. If you enjoy waking up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys my place is for you. If you enjoy great sunsets and great views my place is for you. The name of the game around here is RELAX....RELAX....and more RELAX. If you are looking for crowds and a bar scene find another place, PLAYA COYOTE is a place to ENJOY THE BEACH, UNWIND, EXPLORE, and ENJOY NATURE.

The neighbors said it all when they told us that this was by far the best piece of property in the Finca. Breathtaking sunset views, private, with gentle breeze blowing on the hottest months. We were fortunate that the De Prados were also at their home part of the time. Great folks and very helpful. Our son and family visited us and the pool was wonderful on the days that it was too hot to stay on the beach. Good excercise walking up to the top of the hill and great for spotting birds. We have photos of howler monkeys, couti's and the striking turquoise-browed motmot right near the house. Loma Clara has the best seafood! Cafe Santi has delicious sandwiches. The Flying Scorpion at San Miguel is worth the drive plus good boogie beach and surfing if the waves are right. The Playa Coyote beach on the north side of the river was our favorite to walk and relax. The fish camp just past Calitas Boutique has fresh seafood. You'll see the little boats go in and out with the tide. Yes we'd recommend this spot. We're coming back!
Owner response:Thank you Richard and Katie, it was a pleasure meeting you guys and we are looking forward to spending more time with you in January 2013. George and Madelaine

Used this as a base to explore the south end of Nicoya. Wilberth took us to the Turtle Camp at Playa Calletas one day and a hike to the waterfall the next. Visited a house that Tuto built. Filled our days up exporing and were too tired at night to check out the turtles. Maybe next time. The pool was the place to be at the end of the day, watching the sunset. Having access to a washer and dryer is a must if you spend any time in Costa Rica. We enjoy cooking, so sharp knives would have been nice. Make sure you purchase everything you will need before arrival. You won't want to leave to get something.
Owner response:Thank you Virgil, will upgrade those Knives.

We were looking to get away from it all, the hustle and bustle, the telephones, the TV, the noise, the responsibilities and just RELAX. This was exactly the place we needed and so glad I saw your listing at our last minute of searching. This home delivered everything we were looking for in those regards. So pieceful and quiet you could hear the surf when the wind was right. (Except when the howler monkeys were close in the trees which happened 3 times while we were there, they kept us entertained for hours watching them and trying to get some good pictures with the telephoto lens.) Everything was very clean when we arrived. We hiked on all the roads on the hillside which kept us fit with their degree of pitch but the beautiful vistas we saw when we stopped took our breath away as much as the walk. There were some things closed down for the winter but the Loma Clara was open and their food was fantastic and reasonable. Rafael is a delight to talk to. We walked south on the beach for miles and all week long only saw about a dozen people. August is a good time to go if you want to get away from the crowds, however travel is also limited on some roads due to all the rain. I definitly recommend a jeep, not a car. The roads are an adventure in themselves. The infinity pool was like floating in heaven, watching the birds soar in the airfoils. I would recommend Wilberth (the local tour guide) for arranging any extra activities. Thank you George for sharing this property. If you shared this with another couple, you just can't beat the price.!!!
Owner response:Thanks, Joy

George, I can't even begin to explain how much fun we had. Your home is beautiful and so is Costa Rica. Everyone we meet were very nice and helpful. Wilbur took very good care of us and took us out to the waterfall and surfing another day. Loma Clara was a fantastic restaurant and had the best red snapper I've have ever ate in my life. Tutu took me out the house he is building for your friend and it's awesome. I have a friend that is looking in to taking his family out there and I highly recommended renting the house from you. I will forward your email to him if he has any questions. Thanks again for everything and believe me we will definitely be back out there. I'll send you a link to a zip file you can download with lots of beautiful pictures that you are welcome to use if you like in your ad on VRBO.

The place has a GREAT view and the sunset was simply breathtaking) and it was super cool having the private infinity pool. Without being super luxurious, the house is well equipped and ample. We personally found it very comfy and was the perfect setting for relaxation.

George

what an amazing spot. a tropical utopia. as indicated by others, our only regret is that we were not there longer. The house is fantastically situated, well equipped and the views are surreal. Our big activity was sitting by the pool and watching the sunset. We were rewarded with wonderful views each night. We will be back.
Owner response:Amy, I am happy your experience was great, Thank you.

The views from the house of the beach and sunset were million dollar views. The house was well maintained and my kids loved the infinity pool. The house is perfect for a quiet getaway, very serene and peaceful. We enjoyed the wild life around the house. There are several beaches that are only a few minute drive from the house. If you want peace and quiet, I would recommend this house. The place is great for all ages.
Owner response:Thank you Brian, I am glad you and your family had a great time.

Well what can i say "Speachless" the house was bueatifull and not enough words to describe the fish pool. The sun sets were something out of a movie the only thing is that i did not stay long enough 1 week is definitley not enough time. My kids cannot stop talking about the monkeys jumping in the trees and all the beautiful birds. I will recommend for anyone looking for a nice vacation.
Owner response:Thank you Alex, I am happy that your experience in my house exceeded your expectations. George
