Rent our nicely remodeled downtown guest cottage and experience Lakeland like a local. Weekly rentals only. The Central downtown location is convenient and close to all that Lakeland has to offer.
Accomodations include a small, private studio guest cottage with a large, full outside deck featuring a lake view. Inside is a kitchenette; sitting area, full bathroom and two twin Murphy beds. The kitchenette includes a microwave, small refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker, toaster oven, dishes/cutlery and dedicated kitchen sink. Towels and bed linens are provided. Personal laundry service is available locally (for additional fee).
No smoking allowed in the cottage. Small, well behaved pets (<20 lbs; dogs; cats and birds only) considered with additional deposit.
Lakeland is a great place to relax and spend some time in the Sun while enjoying that famous Southern Hospitality.
While in Lakeland, you can walk down to the lake and take a leisurely stroll around the shoreline on the paved sidewalk. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and catch one of the classic Florida sunrises or sunsets. Lakeland is a winter destination for a wide variety of visiting birds and you can watch them from the deck or from one of several lakeside benches.
Plenty of golfing is available nearby - some courses are private, others are public. The closest public course is Cleveland Heights (2.5 miles). Within 10 miles are Bridgewater; Shalimar Creek; The Hamptons; Lone Palm; Imperial Lakes and the Grasslands.
In close proximity to the cottage there are multiple attractions and sites including:
Florida Southern College, home to the largest single site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright structures in the world - including the recently restored Water Dome fountain - 1.5 miles.
Downtown Lakeland with antique shops, Lake Mirror promenade; the historic Polk Theater, the Lakeland Center, the Farmers Market and great restaurants - 2 miles.
The High School State Champion Football team the Dreadnaughts play 3.5 miles away in the Bryant Stadium.
Lakeland Regional Medical Center – 3.5 miles.
The Detroit Tigers Winter Headquarters for Spring Training is at ‘Tiger Town’ in March and April 2009 - 4.0 miles.
