3 of us stayed here for a week in late March 2012. The apartment itself is well-equipped, comfortable, bright, clean and tidy. The owner lives downstairs and is happy to help by phone if he's not around. The subway station with easy access to Manhattan is very nearby as are lots of nice restaurants and grocery stores (mainly on Court Street, one block over). I'd definitely recommend the apartment for anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful base for exploring the city.

Very convenient ideally situated apartment (close to Carroll Street F and G Subway for travelling to Manhattan/ JFK airport).. Price was very kind and helpful. Apart from having a great time visiting many highlights in Manhattan, we discovered that Brooklyn itself has a lot to offer. To mention some attractions: Bargemusic (a quality concert on a barge under the Brooklyn Bridge with a great view of Manhattan); A Townwalk (available from the Tourist Office at Borough Hall); Shopping at Fulton Road, etc. Take the Subway to York Street and walk the Brooklyn Bridge!. We would love to stay here again..

This place was perfect! Perfect location, darling inside, and the best bed I have ever slept in! This place is across the street from the subway, very close to Frank's Deli, and only 2 blocks away from Brooklyn Bread Company! All were very good. I have the best time. I've returned to this clean, pleasant apartment numerous times and will continue to do so when on business in New York. It's comfortable and sunny, literally a walk across the street to the F and G trains, and convenient to Smith and Court streets in Brooklyn where there are plenty of eateries and places to buy food if you want to do home cooking on the gas stove. The queen bed is inviting and easy to conk out in. Good wifi and a great kitchen table overlooking trees and the back yard have allowed me to work out of the apartment very productively. The hosts are delightful, resourceful and helpful. There's a newly-added balcony off the kitchen that is going to add to the ambience of the apartment in warm weather. I recommend this place highly. Be aware that the front door is one flight up off the street, and there's one more flight to get to the apartment. Carroll Gardens is a beautiful neighborhood and it takes 15-20 minutes on the subway to get to midtown Manhattan. Plenty of cabs driving up Smith Street. It's a great place to stay in New York City!

Thank you Price for your apartment.

We stayed here for a week with our young children. The apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The den was perfect for the kids. Price was very helpful and provided us recommendations for shopping and restaurants. We rented a car and parking was not much trouble, but the subway is only a block away and convenient for most sights. There are tons of great restaurants in the area too! We'll be coming back!

I loved my stay at this apartment! Cozy, sunny, with all amenities. Comfortable bed and nice hot showers. Incredibly convenient, the subway is literally right around the corner. The neighborhood itself felt very safe (I am a woman who was traveling on her own) and had lots of stores, restaurants, bars and cafes. I had forgotten something of great value in the apartment when I left and the owners made an enormous effort to get it back to me. Very helpful and accommodating. I recommend this place highly. Would love to go back soon.

My friend and I recently stayed at this wonderful apartment. It was comfortable, clean and in a great neighborhood. The owners are really nice and very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, subway directions, etc. Carroll Gardens is safe, eclectic and just a great place for walking and enjoying the borough of Brooklyn. If you want to experience New York at its roots, stay here. We were lucky enough to meet a lovely couple who lived in the area for over 30 years and they were generous enough to give us a mini-history lesson. And be sure to check out the Brooklyn Promenade, with its great views. I will definitely be back and will be staying here again!!! Thanks Price and Rebecca!

A four day trip to the area for business and pleasure led me to this light, spacious, clean and most wonderful apartment. The owners were welcoming, responsive and very accommodating. There's everything you could ever need in the apartment and in the neighborhood. So much better than a hotel!

Lovely apartment, fascinating neighbourhood, easy proximity to Manhattan on the F train and great owners. A long way to travel from Australia but Carroll Gardens is destined to become a favourite holiday destination!

We stayed in this apartment for five weeks in the summer and had a wonderful stay. The apartment is clean and bright, the decor is tasteful and simple. The location is amazing, less than a minute from the subway station which had us in the West Village in 20minutes. The apartment is in a beautiful area with lovely shops and restaurants. We had a twelve year old and a one year old with us and the owners were so helpful, providing us with baby equipment, toys, suggestions of things to do and even getting me an appointment with a doctor when necessary! There is a lovely park with a playground less than a minute away and my children had a brilliant holiday. We really got a taste of what is was like to live in Carroll Gardens and we were so sad to leave after the five weeks. We went into Manhatten every day and it took no time at all on the subway, no matter what time of day it was. The area was safe and even when coming back from Manhatten alone, very late at night, I walked from the subway station to the apartment without any worries at all. We would definitely stay here again and indeed hope to do so sometime.

What a wonderful place to stay. Over the recent Labor Day weekend my younger son was being married in Red Hook and we chose this B&B because of the closeness to the wedding festivities. The owner and his wife truly have a wonderful clean place for one to visit the area. Close shopping, eating and enjoyment. The subway is right across the street from the B&B which makes Manhattan a short subway ride of about 20 minutes. There were three of us staying for the weekend and we all had enough room. Have a good time if you should go.

I live in this great neighborhood and was thrilled to find this apartment for a recent family visit. They had a wonderful time. The apt. is bright and clean with much more room than a hotel and the owners are very helpful. Visitors will get a real idea of what it's like to live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, one of the best neighborhoods in New York City.

Apartment was clean and bright and airy. Neighborhood felt quite safe (even after midnight). We really enjoyed the excellent French bakery a few blocks away on Smith St. and there is a pizzeria and a grocery store within a block. Subway very conveniently located and it's an easy ride on the F line into Manhattan. Owners live downstairs and were friendly and helpful. Queen bed comfortable for 2 adults; our kids slept in the other (smaller) beds.
