This 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin is located just 26 miles north of Durango Colorado at beautiful Vallecito Lake.
We offer Daily Light Housekeeping at no charge! Both bedrooms have queen sized beds a dresser and a small closet. The restroom is located between the two bedrooms and has a full tub and shower combo. We have left towels, extra sheets, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and toiletries for you to use. The living room is cozy with a wood burning fireplace, sofa sleeper, and an over sized chair. There is no need to worry about split wood as we provide that for you as well. The kitchen also has everything you will need including pots, pans, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, and a toaster. The dining table seats 4-6, but with the beautiful mountains in the back yard you will probably prefer to eat out side at the picnic table.
Outside you will notice an additional 13 cabins that make up the “StreamSide Cabins” all of these cabins are available for rent. Behind the cabins is Grimes Creek that can be fished. There is also a play ground to keep the younger kids busy, a volleyball net, and horseshoes!
This area is full of activities for your family. Wit’s End Guest Ranch Resort and Spa is located just 1 mile north. They offer Spa services and Fly-Fishing Adventures for guest staying at the StreamSide Cabins (we are one of their sister properties). There are walking and biking trails both up the mountain and around Vallecito Lake. There are a number of horseback riding stables that are open to the public. The marinas are located just 2 miles away from your cabin. You can also rent ATV's, Mules (another type of 4-wheel drive machine that seats 4) Jet Skis, Ski Boats and Pontoon Boats just around the corner (less than 1 mile)!
With Durango only being 26 miles away you will also be able to take advantage of all the attractions they offer such as the Durango Silverton Train, White Water Rafting, Jeep Tours, Glider Riders, and shopping.
And when your done for the day you can head back to your cozy cabin, light a fire, talk about the days adventure and dream about tomorrows.
We will need a 1/3 deposit of your total reservation amount due to confirm your reservation. Your deposit if refundable up until 60 days before your arrival and your balance is due by May 1st. We DO NOT require a cleaning fee or security deposit. However, we do not expect the cabin to be excessively dirty. We DO require a credit card on file for any damages that may occur.
Small pets, less than 12 lbs, are welcome for an addition $15 per night per pet with a max of 2. All pets are to be kept in a carrier or kennel when left inside the cabin alone and must be on a leash when outside.
