Having stayed at numerous vacation rentals, condo's, and resort properties, from seaboard to seaboard and across the heartland, our family agrees that Casita Del Oro gets a gold star! Clean, quiet and well appointed, this lovely find, nestled in the Sierra foothills, is close enough to our family in Cameron Park that it is an easy choice for future visits. Did I mention clean? Get your daily trek, float, exploration or adventure under your belt and then retire to this warm, cozy nest, cook up a meal and settle in for the next day's foray. Thank you Kirk & Lynda! Your thoughtful manner in preparing this home for your guests definitely shows!
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words! It was certainly a pleasure having you as guests and meeting your lovely family. We will look forward to your next visit to Casita del Oro!

We've stayed at Casita del Oro twice, and would not hesitate to book again! The cottage is immaculate, and Lynda has given a great deal of thought to comfort. The fully equipped kitchen is a joy to use, the sleeping areas are clean, comfortable, and homey. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us and the 4 of us had a wonderful family thanksgiving together last fall. My husband and I stayed in the winter, and were warm and cozy. Conveniently located to either I-80 or US-50, this place has a lot to offer!

Set in a beautiful valley right next to a park, this immaculately maintained property is perfect for a family or small group. It's a newly built three-bedroom house next to the main house on the property--forget your typical rundown, creaky old vacation cottage. Solidly constructed, so that crying children in one room won't disturb people in another, and with modern heating and cooling systems, this rental is also complete with everything you'd want away from home: superbly comfortable beds, spotless linens, fully-equipped kitchen, toiletries--there's even nightlights and outlet covers for the kids.To top it all off, the owners' gracious hospitality will make you feel like their guests and friends, rather than people who just stopped in for a couple of nights. We'll be returning!

My family of four enjoyed our stay in Casita Del Oro very much. The house is very clean, well-maintained and fully-equipped. We all liked the fact that the house is located in a very quiet secluded place with close access to the Nature Area and the river. Our stay on this property was therapeutic: we came home refreshed and invigorated. Many thanks to the owners for keeping this place in such an immaculate shape!

Lovely stay for our family--all the various permutations that stayed there over the 4 days. Clean, welcoming, wonderful beds and super nice hosts. My only comment is that the pillows didn't work for me, but that is so minor it's hardly worth mentioning. We will certainly be back!
Owner response:We have certainly taken your comment to heart and will be on a quest to supply a variety of pillows hopefully to meet all of our guests needs.

Lynda and Kirk, Thank you so much for the delightful hospitality and home to come to after a weekend at the American River Festival and kayaking..... I only wish we stayed a bit longer to fully enjoy your property and wrap around deck, as well as have some more river time. I cannot believe how close you are to the river access areas! We kept driving by your street thinking it was farther than it actually was.... and had to laugh every time thinking how lucky we were to find a place so convenient. Your guesthouse was much larger than we anticipated and was sparkling clean with wonderful crisp linens, and soft fluffy towels! The welcome basket was a complete surprise and we loved the cookies.....you have truly outdone yourselves with beautiful touches! We cannot wait to come back and would love for you to visit our vacation rental in the redwoods as well.... Many Blessings to you! PS: The dogs had a great time too and are exhausted!!!!

Our hosts were helpful and generous. The house was accurately described. Fresh, clean and well equipt. It was cute, comfortable and the added touches like... games in the closet, internet connection, cable TV were all bonuses.

Casita Del Oro is a wonderful place to stay in the Coloma area. This guest house is located in a lovely oak woodland. The inside is very welcoming, with comfortable beds, couches and outside a deck wraps around the entire house. We were so pleased at how close it was to hiking. Dave Moore Park is adjacent to the property and has a beautiful trail that goes down to the river. Lynda and Kirk, the owners , welcome you with a basket full of goodies, including delicious home made chocolate chip cookies. The house is located close to many rafting and kayak companies. It is an ideal place to enjoy while you are in Coloma. The Brown family

Quiet, comfortable, roomy, fresh, well appointed - a few words to describe the accomodations. Trees, deer, rivers, trails, mountains - a beautiful environment. History, exploration, river sports, snow skiing - all within easy reach. Kirk and Linda, your guest home is a precious stone in a gold setting! Thank you for having our family for 8 nights! We loved exploring your backyard! Park & Donna Allwine, Melody and Rob
