Why the Owner Chose Los Barriles
We found the Pacific NW winters to be cold, wet and dreary . . . and the real estate market rather slow! We were looking for a warm and sunny get-away where we could bring our dog. We started out in the San Jose/Cabo area but were looking for something more laid back. We discovered the village of Los Barriles on a road trip to La Paz and thought that the little town, nestled among the palms on the Sea of Cortez, was just what we were looking for. We bought a waterfront lot, drew up a plan, and had our casa constructed.
We have since moved to Southern California.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We really love our front-row seats to the marine activity, including whales, dolphins, pelicans and rays. We also enjoy seeing the kiteboarders and windsurfers zip by on windy days, and the kayakers and fishing boats on the not-so-windy days. Walking on the beach is a favorite pasttime. Our casa is a cool, calming oasis from which to enjoy all that Baja California Sur and the Sea of Cortez have to offer.

We moved from Orcas Island, in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest, to North San Diego County in June of 2009. We are pictured here with Ben our English Springer Spaniel, who has since gone on to doggie heaven. We are both Realtors and enjoy helping our clients with their real estate transactions.
