And when you are done exploring the mountains, hiking and shopping you can come back to your mountain getaway cabin, Smoky Mountain High. This beautiful log cabin is just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and 15 minutes drive to Pigeon Forge and is conveniently located in Gatlinburg's premier log home community, Black Bear Falls. Why the Owner Chose Black Bear Falls
We chose our cabin for the view and the proximity to local attractions. We have very easy access to all of the major activities and still have the seclusion of a private get away surrounded by trees and awesome views.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Hiking is our favorite activity when visiting the cabin. We also take advantage of great shopping bargins as well as the excellent food and entertainment that is minutes away. We've still not seen and done all there is to do, so we continue to try something new each time we visit.
Owner's Map of Black Bear Falls
Mary and Larry live in the beautiful mountains of northeast Tennessee. We have 4 children and enjoy the outdoors. Our cabin is just over an hour away so we visit it often. We've enjoyed many weekends with friends and family in the Smoky Mountains.

My family met in the mountains for a family reuion. The view was amazing and the cabin was very nicely decorated. There were 6 adults so each couple had a bedroom which was really nice. The kids slept on the pull out beds. We enjoyed ourselves! Beautiful location!

Our group of seven family and friends spent 4 nights at Smoky Mountain High, and had a great getaway. Our purpose was to be able to spend some time together, away from the cares of home, and also have some new experiences. The cabin was beautifully furnished and decorated, and just as described. Although there are other cabins nearby in the development, from the windows and decks they were nearly invisible. The owner was very nice and helpful, and the property was very clean when we moved in. Comfortable beds, and lots of flexibility in sleeping arrangements, which was great for our group. We enjoyed the Arts and Crafts Trail and our lunch at the Wild Plum Tea Room on the trail loop. The tram to Ober Gatlinburg was fun, and the Aquarium (especially the penguins) was, too. Mostly we just stayed at "home" and enjoyed conversation and games, eating together (the kitchen is well stocked) and the hot tub. We would definitely recommend this property. Our only sadness was that the community pool wasn't heated!

I would like to thank you for allowing my family to spend some relaxing time at your cabin. It really allowed us the chance to slow down and catch up on some lost time. You have such a beautiful place and a small piece of paradise. The location is so convenient to the Arts and Crafts area and close to Gatlinburg. Hopefully we'll get a chance to come back in the future. Take care.

Our visit to the Gatlinburg area was anchored on this rental property and our expectations were well exceeded. it was a great venue and opportunity to bring together Grandpa, son, and granddaughters for a long weekend of relaxation and exploring nature. The property was exactly as advertised, in great repair, well appointed, and centrally located while still be quiet and remote from the trappings of the town. Thank you for a great experience. Alec

This cabin is so beautiful and comfortable. The furnishings are great, the view is incredible, it's just so homey and relaxing! What a great place to get away to for a few days. The porch and hot tub are wonderful. It's amazing how many people can sleep in this cabin. It's got all the comforts of home, but it's in a beautiful setting way up on the side of the mountain. I can't wait to come back again!

We arrived late June 20. Directions were good and everything was as described. The scenery was beautiful. Our youngest daughter, husband and 2 children stayed downstairs where there were toys and room for them to play. My husband and I stayed on the main level with easy access to kitchen, dining, living room and porch. We really enjoyed eating and drinking coffee on the porch each morning. Our other daughter and husband stayed in the loft bedroom. It was a woodland setting, but still a short distance to downtown. We had a great time.

A beautiful place to vacation. The mountains were cool in the morning - the porch a perfect place to enjoy the morning and the sun setting in the afternoon. Plenty of room for the family. Enjoyed the time together and the activities we enjoyed in Pigeon Forge and Sieverville. Good place to vacation. The cabin was very comfortable and homey. Thanks for letting us share your cabin.
