We really enjoyed our stay and found the location ideal for our vacation. We spend a couple days on the east coast (Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach... a 60 min drive) and a few days at Disney (a 30 min drive). It was nice to be in a place that was more central and a lower cost than the other VRBOs that are closer to Disney/Universal. It was great to have a pool as well and the home was very comfortable for our family of 6.

Your home was beautiful. Close to everything. Very clean. Thanks for no pets as I am allergic, and it was nice to stay were there are no pets and no smoking. Great place to stay

For five years, every summer my family visited Kissimmee. Always rent a house. This year it was the house of James. We all agree. .. from now on will always stay in the house James. Extremely clean, friendly, elegant and comfortable. Webside photos are far from true appeal of this home. Thank you James.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Jim and Cheryl's home. First to begin, Jim was very responsive with any questions I had and providing additional information on local restaurants and attractions relative to the Orlando area. The check-in/ payment process and communication w/ Jim prior to the arrival date was professional and easy. The house was exactly how the pictures portray it to be and even better. The master bedroom was a great size and the two additional rooms were very comfortable. What I liked most was the location and cleanliness of the home. The airport was a mere 8 miles away (approx 10-15 minutes away in regular traffic) which was very convenient having to go to and from the airport a few times. The house was clean with new furniture, cute decor, and a nice sized pool. The house is also very inviting especially with cookies and juice to greet you upon entering (Thanks!) I would definitely look forward to staying at Jim and Cheryl's home during my future visits to the Orlando area.

This was our third stay at Jim & Cheryl's house and, as usual, it was absolutely fabulous!!! Even our five kids now call it "our Florida house". It is absolutely perfect-we look forward to our stay each year. We can see all the sights (this year we added a hotair balloon ride from Orlando Balloon Rides and a segway tour down in Old Town at the general store with Mike), go to the parks or just hang out and relax and unwind at our own pool!!! Jim & Cheryl are a DREAM to deal with!!! I tell everyone about this home and recommend it highly!! If you are going to Orlando or Kissimmee THIS is the only home to stay in!!!

Second Softball Stay

This is the second time we have stayed and enjoyed the home and area even more than the first time, explored Old Kissimee this time, Coco Beach and Orlando outside the city. Had wonderful cuban food and took time to go to some of the historic sites and parks. Of course fishing in the pond, not as good as the first time but it was warmer...sad for the fishing...good for the rest. We stayed for one week, did not experience any issues that would change our mind about staying a third time. Jim and Cheryl have been prompt and friendly in their communication and provided us with numerous contact numbers.

Hello Jim, just a quick note to thankyou for the return of our damage deposit. We would like to thank you for the use of your home durring our Florida Holiday this past January. The house is wonderful, situated in a most advantageous location to enjoy all of Disney World, the many other theme parks of the Orlando area and of course the Kennedy Space Center. All of this and yet only a few minutes from the airport, a few blocks to Church, shopping and dining, while getting to live in a quiet, decent, residential neighbourhood definetly made our holiday most memoriable. This was our second time staying at this home. We planned for this trip for a year & there was no question where we were going to lay our heads at night..Quail Ridge! This time I was 7 1/2 months pregnant & comfort was the only thing I was looking for while on vacation. I knew I would find it at this home with it huge master bed! It was hard for me to get out of it to walk in the parks in the morning LOL! We kind of think of this home as OUR home away from home. It was most fun when since we were there over Halloween giving away treats to the trick or treaters at the door just like at home! The kids love the convenience of the park & private pool.The neighbors are pleasant & approachable, we had many friendly chats about the weather. Many nights we rented movies from the local "Red box "& pizza that was recommended by Jim from a local pizza shop & had family movie nights. My husband & I spent quiet nights by the pool too which was nice when the kids went to sleep. You would think being close to the airport this would pose as a noise problem but not at all! I do have a picky 15 year old daughter who LOVES this home & would be quite disappointed if we stayed anywhere else! She loves the British accent the pool maintenance man has. The only disappointment was not being able to bring our Labrador Retriever with us on vacation. I did email Jim to see if possibly we could & he explained the home is just not made for pets. :( The home truly has everything else you could ask for though, its clean convenient & located in a very residential quiet friendly neighborhood that is close to everything. We even opted to extend our stay an extra 3 days! Don't waste your money at a cramped hotel, if your looking for space, comfort, and convenience then you have found the place! The home owner is very attentive & lives in the states which is wonderful! Jim & Cheryl have been the easiest homeowners we have ever worked with & are by far the nicest. Every other time we had to go through a management company but with this home you deal directly with the homeowners. We have been to Florida 7 times and stayed at vacation homes each time. We now are planning our 8th vacation to Florida & this will be our 3rd time renting from Jim & Cheryl & we cant wait to get back to our home away from home! This time with our new daughter!

far from everything, neighborhood seedy & in transition, groups of youths walking the street @ night, did not feel safe photos old & deceptive, crack in window pane, large rips in screen lanai, cracked concrete, no garage acess license on display expired 3.5 years ago exposed wiring in master closet emergency lights did not function numerous light switches did not fucntion pool light out pool alarm malfunctioning on arrival great difficulty opening patio doors bbq old/rusted strong pet odor airport noise prohibiting normal speech in yard lights shining in window from arrivals and departures we contacted the owner about the large dog barking 24/7 (2 houses away) and the quad runners racing up & down the street only to be told to contact the local authorites in numerous e mails we stated quiet, owner assured us quiet. no one local for any help or issues the water had a strong sulfer smell bath fan in master was plugged the main a/c inlet filter was plugged discovered 2 very large carpenter ants during our stay one in foyer and one on dresser in master porch light had at least 1 inch dead bugs in it this home is far from everything and is in disrepair. I would not recommend this home to any one for any reason this is a rental from hell! do not rent this unit any questions please contact us photos are available we contacted the owner prior to this review he again has not responded

Owner response:I have had the issues that they were saying investigated by my personnel that take care of my property. They found none of their questions raised as founded. The party that rented after actually requested an 3 extra days and this was their second time staying at our home with a good experience. I also had my caretakers check the dog barking issue... found none. we have our filters change on the 1st of each month. This property is 8 miles from airport and flight paths change all the time. I cannot test to the fact of noise but I live 3 miles from the airport in Madison, Wi and I never have had issues with noise. The family that renting the following week had actually stayed an extra 3 days. This was also their 2nd stay and have booked for next year. They did stay there for the week, then requested a refund.

Perfect for Our Family of Four

In August, 2010, we stayed 8 nights in this great house. This was our first time renting a house and the experience was better than we could have expected. The house is in a nice neighborhood, it was spacious (comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids - 8 & 10), was clean and in good condition, and and we had virtually everything we needed. We usually stay in Orlando, and I was little concerned that being a little outside of Orlando would be inconvenient, but I was WRONG! It was very close to the interstate and it only took 15-20 minutes to get to Disney, SeaWorld and Gatorland, and about 35-45 minutes to get to Cape Canaveral Seashore (our favorite beach!). The house is in a quiet, but not desserted location. It was very convenient to visit the grocery store, restaurants and such as well. The kids loved coming back mid-day and in the evening to swim, my husband loved fishing in the pond, and I enjoyed having our own space, being able to eat meals at home and having a relaxing sanctuary from the crowded Orlando vacation spots. I can't say enough about how easy it was working with the owners. They were helpful, gave us recommendations on local attractions and a restaurant, and were quick in responding. I've raved so much about our experience that I've had 2 friends and co-workers asking for information about the home. And the true test....next time we visit the area, WE want to come back Jim and Cheryl's lovely home...thanks so much for letting us rent your house!

Softball stay

Was in Orlando for College Softball tournament, absolutely the best place to have stayed, close to the fields, close to shopping, fishing in the ponds were great, some very big bass in there, and a great place to relax after running around and watching the games. Very close to Disney and convient to all the malls, hoping next year's season brings us back. Thanks for the great place to stay.

My family and I spent our Thanksgiving this year at the Sorenson's rental - it was a real 'home away from home' for us - I can't imagine staying at a hotel - it was perfect - tons of space to spread out, friendly neighbors, quiet neighborhood and close to everything - include Starbucks (which we visited often!) - Thank you so much for making our first big family vacation one that we will cherish. - Brenda

Sadly, we recently returned from our Florida vacation :(. But while in Florida we stayed at this home and the low rate did make us leary as to what to expect.."WOW" very very impressive!My family and I have stayed at many vacation homes while visiting Disney but hands down found this to be the best choice for our money thus far! The pool was nice! The kitchen and bathrooms were clean which to my family is very important! There were stores and restaurants close by..and the home was equipped with everything we needed. In the past we have experienced advertisements for amenities like a washer and dryer only to find that the dryer doesnt dry...NOT THIS ONE! We were happy with the location as it was close to everything. We went to Clearwater and Cocoa Beach. We WILL BE coming back to visit Florida..this time the search for where to stay will be far easier! Thank you Jim & Cheryl Sorenson for letting us share your home!

This house is very comfortable just like living at home while travelling. It's close to the airport but very well insulated. It's very close to Disney World, and other attractions in or near Orlando. The pool is clean, and well maintained, with safety alarm. We really like it. Would recommend it for anyone with family to stay there when visiting Orlando. Only draw back is no internet!

This vacation house is in good location. Not very far from Disney world. Convenient to go to CVS, Walgreen,24 hours Walmart. The price is affordable. The owner is very friendly. Thank you for letting us to rent your house. We will recommend your house to friend and family.

WOW!! The home was exactly as described!! We had 7 in our family and it was perfectly set up for that. The owners (Jim & Cheryl) were so easy to work with and easy to reach since they lived in the US. We did have a small hiccup upon arrival, but they INSTANTLY resolved the issue!! We had ages 20 mons to 52 years and the house was perfect for all of us!! We WILL be back!! Thanks again, Jim & Cheryl, you made our vacation a fantastic one!! Rick & Kelly & Family

This home was beautiful and comfortable. We have a family of 6 and we never felt too crowded. The pool was nice and provided alot of sunshine during the day. The location was convenient to many attractions and stores. The location was also in a very quiet setting. My kids enjoyed the park next door too. The owners were very easy to work with and very affordable. Thanks again!
