This luxury condominium is located on historic Canal Street just one block from the French Quarter. You can easily walk to the Quarter but also be far enough away to escape the craziness and noise when you’re ready to relax.

If you arrive by personal car, you'll pull up into the hotel-style motor lobby and have access to the building's 24-hour valet parking service. Later when you leave the building on foot, you'll find a Canal Street streetcar stop located right in front. Take the streetcar and head to mid-city to visit the New Orleans Museum of Art. On the way back stop at Angelo Brocato's Italian Ice Cream Parlor on North Carrollton and have yourself a refreshing gelato.

Of course you can always take a streetcar toward the Mississippi river and transfer to the historic St. Charles Avenue line for a trip to the garden district. On St. Charles Avenue, get off to stroll among the stately mansions and fine restaurants. Later in the evening, stroll three blocks down Canal Street to the Ritz Carlton, and catch Jeremy Davenport and his band for some relaxing jazz. With the combination of streetcars and the close proximity of the French Quarter, you may not need your car at all until you end your stay and return home.

The Residence is in a former department store which was once the largest department store in the South. The store opened for business on April 13, 1903, and expanded over the years to include more than 300,000 square feet on six levels covering two city blocks. The building is located on Canal Street, the widest main street in America, at its famous intersection with Basin Street, the birthplace of Jazz. One block from the French Quarter, the Central Business District, and the Medical District, Canal Street is truly in the heart of everything. The best New Orleans has to offer is at your doorstep, incredible food, music, shopping, history, and culture all within walking distance.

If you are undecided about renting a car, our location is perfect. There is a Budget car rental place right next door! You can take a taxi from the airport knowing that if you need a car later, you can rent one only for the day(s) needed.
