You will fall in love with this beautiful, Nautical themed Luxury Lake Front home complete with Beach, Boat Slip, Game Room, 6 person Hot Tub-perfect for family vacations year-round for the Captain and Crew! This sprawling 5 bedroom home on Lake Norman is beautifully decorated with class and elegance. The warm, inviting nature as you enter the large Living area complete with leather sofas and marble tables is the perfect place to gather your family and friends. The “Galley” boasts a massive, multi-tone stained 4 inch wooden island counter top and is complete with a variety of eating and cooking utensils for all ages.
A luxury vacation is a time to relax and unwind, and getting a good nights rest is a prerequisite for our guests! Amidship, all pillows in our bedrooms are double gusseted with protector and matching case, mattresses are new and either Tempurpedic or Beauty Rest, and complete with Luxury Linens of 600-800 count thread.
As you make your way down to the Lower Level Cuddy, you find large sleeper sofas and 4 upper berth style bunks with railings, a perfect compliment to the Nautical theme throughout. Our lower level boasts a walk out patio to the lower deck and Hot Tub, and is complete with game tables, entertainment system and walk-in bathhouse style shower cozy enough for two, room enough for 6 - attached to 2 separate bathrooms (Bath 1 with sink/commode and Bath 2 with double sink/commode).
But wait…there’s more! You will have a difficult time deciding if you want to spend your time inside the Command or outdoors on the enormous, custom designed "Ship’s Bow" style deck. Port side hosts the Stainless Steel Gas BBQ Grill, freestanding bar and you can “Walk the Plank” to the lower level, beach and boat slip. Starboard you will find an abundance of outdoor furniture and tables where you can enjoy "Chow and Grog" any time of day!
Just as the day closes…stand at the tip of the Bow and you are “King of the World”! Enjoy the unforgettable sunset over the lake and the breathtaking views of your beautiful surroundings known as Lake Norman, North Carolina.

Our long awaited Family Vacation turned into a nightmare at Captains Command. Despite all of the communication problems prior to our arrival we did arrive (unfortunately). The septic system overflowed and we were asked to pay for the pumping of the tank ($400). The electricity on the dock was faulty and very dangerous. The beach was not as shown in the photo. The yard was unusable as the smell of sewage was everywhere. We could not flush any toilets the entire time we were there and ended up having to use The Food Lion grocery store for restroom visits several times per day. Our entire family showered outdoors for the whole week so as not to do further flooding damage to the quarters in which we had to sleep. All of the lower level area rugs were missing when we arrived due to the prior renters having sewage issues and overflow problems. I'm certain you are getting the point........BEWARE! Look further!

This property is not as advertized! The 'gourmet' kitchen is lacking in pots/pans/utensils. The hide a beds are in terrible condition, so bad that we went out and bought air mattresses for the kids to sleep on. This property is not capable of sleeping the number of people stated. The sewer system is slow and even backed up into the house at one point due to normal usage, and the yard smells of sewage, making it unusable for yard games etc. The dock appears to be ready to fall down and the boat we rented broke down. When it broke down, the owners blamed us for using it 'to much' and basically called us a bunch of racial slurs when we contacted them for asisstance. In the end, they played games with our deposit, holding it long past their contract terms and never answered the phones or emails in a timely manner. We would never rent from these people again! Be aware that they own 5-7 of these on lake norman, and stay away!!

We had a wonderful stay at Captain's Command. The house is fine and the landscaping is beautiful. We rented their pontoon boat and it,too was absolutely perfect. We would definitely use this rental again. We have 7 grandkids and they all thought this was the best rental they had stayed at.
