This beautiful round house is located in the quaint mountain town of Beech Mountain, the highest town East of the Mississippi. Beech Mountain has a reputation for both summer activities and winter fun. During the summer, the town boasts some of the greatest road bike training routes, high mountain golfing, trout fishing, and miles and miles of trails for the novice and expert. During the winter Ski Beech has some of the steepest and fastest ski runs, yet also has plenty of areas for the novice skier.
The town also runs a public tubing hill near the town hall at the crest of the mountain. And don't miss Fred's General Store! In continuous operation for over 30 years, Fred's is truly an icon. Be sure to stop in and pick up the items you need while grabbing a bite to eat. Their motto: "If we don't have it, you don't need it." Just ask, they probably have it.
Now, enough on the town, on to the house. The highlight of the house is the updated master bathroom. A completely Italian tiled shower has the feel of luxury resorts. After a long day, a long shower melts away any fatigue. Both bed rooms have queen beds, with a TV with cable in the master bedroom. The kitchen and living room are completely open, giving a large and spacious feel.
The vaulted ceilings help to inspire and relax. The futon in the living room folds down for an additional two sleeping spaces. The large deck looks out to the trees, giving views in the winter, and a peaceful and relaxing feeling in the summer.
Everything is conveniently located to this house. Ski Beech ski resort is less than a mile away and offers skiing, tubing, and lessons. Fred's is a mile in other direction to get both food and sundry items. Right next to Fred's, next to the town hall, is the tubing hill, complete with a snow maker. Numerous hiking trails are available, the closest being down the street. Golf is available at the Beech Mountain Club, about two miles down the road. Everything is truly at your finger tips.
