A luxury retreat from which to explore historic Savannah or to simply relax in true Southern comfort, this home is conveniently located on Crawford Square, one of twenty-two original squares in Savannah’s true historic district. Situated near the river, 218 Houston is just a short stroll to Forsyth Park and all of Savannah’s fine dining and cultural institutions.

Built in 1900 and recently renovated in detail, this 2 bedroom 1 ½ bath condo offers the finest appointments and modern amenities. With more than 1300 sq ft, the home allows for maximum comfort and privacy. The main level provides an open floor plan great for entertaining. Two bedroom suites and full bath are tucked away on the upper level providing ample room for four guests. A half bath is also located on the main level of the home.

Vintage and contemporary furnishings create a relaxing retreat with provenance. Golden heart pine floors shine throughout. Oversized windows flood the home with natural light and provide amazing views of moss covered live oaks and the surrounding architectural landscape.

The spacious living room offers a comfortable sofa and two lounge chairs—a perfect place to relax. A restored heart pine mantle frames the original fireplace.

The home is well equipped with a 32” LCD TV, DVD player, digital cable, and assorted Savannah and classic DVD's.

Listen to your own music via MP3 player or CD's with our convenient entertainment system.

Secure Wireless Internet and local and long distance phone service are provided.

The kitchen is fully furnished with Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances—electric range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and rich granite countertops. Prepare gourmet meals or enjoy a morning cup of coffee. All utensils are provided for your cooking needs including Cuisinart stainless cookware and place settings for eight.

The master suite features a queen bed with deluxe memory foam mattress, fine quality linens, ample storage, and vintage bench. A pocket door provides direct access to the bath.

  • We are so happy we decided to stay at 218 Houston Street rather than in a hotel room in the busier downtown area. The home is beautiful, modern, spacious, and well-appointed. The bed is plush and the linens luxurious! There is ample parking right in front of the house. The owners were very accommodating, providing us with directions to the home from the airport, maps of the area, the addresses of local grocery stores, and several wonderful restaurant suggestions. 218 Houston Street is within walking distance to EVERYTHING historic Savannah has to offer. EVERYTHING! Yet, because it is located in a residential neighborhood within the historic district, the home offers a feeling of privacy, seclusion. As an architect, my husband appreciated the quality of workmanship and design detail that went into the home's rehab. As a self-admitted clean freak, I was grateful for the obvious care that has gone into this home's upkeep. Everything was clean, crisp, and new. We have just one regret: That we didn't book the home for an even longer stay. Savannah is an amazing city and 218 Houston Street the perfect location to explore it from. We will definitely be back!

  • We spent our Thanksgiving holiday in Savannah with our son who graduated basic training the day before Thanksgiving. We were looking for a place that offered a since of home and comfort for us during this time. Everyone loved the house and found it to be very accommodating. The master bath is awesome and the kitchen is very nice as well. This came in handy for cooking our feast! The location is very good, you can walk to the river district from the home with no problem. The beds were comfortable and the linens very nice. I recommend this property, it was perfect for the four of us.

  • We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at your home. The location was great - we walked both to the river and to the Forsyth park. The home was beautifully renovated and decorated. The kitchen was nicer than what we have at home :) It was also very well stocked. The books and the DVDs were a nice touch as well. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family if they ever go to Savannah.
