We have the best location in Mission Beach! We are just steps away from the boardwalk, sand and ocean, yet the horseshoe shape of the Surf Rider building offers occupants privacy as well. This unit even has its own rooftop deck for a spectacular and secluded view.
The property underwent extensive renovations in 2004 and includes the most modern amenities. Granite floors and counter tops, travertine tiled bathrooms and showers, gas stoves and a very large flat screen TV!
The Surf Rider contains a central patio with plenty of room to hang with your friends and/or family and enjoy the view. It is also the only building in Mission Beach with a hot tub right on the boardwalk! Lounge chairs and BBQ grills also adorn the patio, so you can take a break from the beach but still enjoy the ocean.
Dolphins and sometimes even whales play in the waves just in front of the condo out in the surf. People watching is great too! From surfers in the water to people making their way along the boardwalk there is always something fun and interesting to see!
Many attractions are within walking distance, including Belmont Park, the famous Wave House with its fitness center, spa and wave machine, as well as many great restaurants and boutiques. If you want to venture a little further away, Sea World is only 2 miles away and the San Diego Zoo is about 8 miles away.
One of the greatest things about San Diego is the micro communities with their own distinct styles and personalities. From our condo it is quick and easy to get to Pacific Beach, La Jolla, downtown's Gaslamp Quarter and so many other great spots!

Leaving home in a snowstorm we found a sunny, warm ocean experience awaiting us at Mission Beach. The condo was perfect in both preparation and location. The roof top deck makes this property stand out amongst the competition. This space provides a perfect private sanctuary at any time of day. The property owners were very easy to deal with and all arrangements were made within a matter of hours. We will be recommending this property to anyone traveling to San Diego

Four of us stayed five days at this property and would likely stay here again. Location was perfect - about a mile south of pier/restaurant area, so far enough away that it was quiet, but close enough to walk to and from dinner. Having a private deck was a real plus and the view was awesome. Owners were great to work with. Condo was clean and pictures were representative, and beds were comfortable. Only thing I might say is that it could have used some updated kitchenware & linens, but truly, we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Being beach front was why we rented here, and we were not disappointed.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented the condo May 12-16, 2010 and it was fantastic! First of all, you can't beat the location. It's a 5 min walk to Belmont Park and a 10 min walk to Pacific Beach - oh, and of course there is the ocean right outside your window! I slept in the master bedroom and I kid you not, it's about 150 feet from the water. Simply amazing. We saw schools of dolphins every morning!!The condo is pretty much fully stocked - all you need to bring is food and sunscreen. There are plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen utensils and supplies. The waterfall showerheads are absolutely luxurious. In my opinion, the best part of the unit is the private rooftop deck! The deck is only for tenants of this unit, so you don't have to share. I went up there with a book and ended up taking a nap while listening to the sound of the ocean waves. Perfection.We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Unit H at the Surf Rider. It is ideal for 2-4 people and the roof top deck (assigned to this unit) adds to the overall value. Dominique and Simone were great to work with and always available for questions. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you.

We had a great time at the Surfrider! The weather was beautiful and who could beat relaxing in the hot tub on a cold fall night with the ocean not more than 50 yards away? The condo was exactly what we needed and the rooftop deck was great and private. We will definitely return in the future!

We had a perfect stay on Mission Beach. Waking up in the morning to the sound of the surf,walking on the sand and on the boardwalk, and watching the sun set from the hot tub in front of the apartment. The accommodations were just perfect for the two of us, and the apartment had everything that we needed. When there was a slight problem, Dominique responded quickly and took care of it. Just go and enjoy!

Now this is a STAYCATION! While we live only 20 mins away staying there was like being away from it all. We have teenagers and it was a perfect location on the boardwalk..close to everything. We will definitely rent it again!

Simone and Dominique were so easy and a pleasure to work with on booking this property. The price was beyond reasonable and the best spot on Mission Beach. We came for a Girls Getaway weekend and the property was very clean and we had the BEST view. I've now made San Diego an annual trip and would stay at this property on every visit. Great for people watching and steps away from the beach!

What a beautiful property- awsome location just steps away from the beach. We BBQ'd on the 4th of July and enjoyed the fireworks display atop the rooftop deck while sipping wine we purchased during our bicycle ride along the boardwalk and bay. Thanks you Simone and Dominique for making your property available for us to enjoy.
