The Riverwild Retreat Vacation Home is nestled in the new RiverWild area of Mount Bachelor Village Resort on Bend's west side off Century Drive which leads to Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. Riverwild's location is on western bluff of the beautiful Deschutes River with access to the many miles of river trail.
Despite it's secluded environment, Riverwild is just minutes from all that Bend has to offer including award winning restaurants, cinema, concerts and shopping. The Riverwild Retreat was newly built in late 2006 and was professionally decorated and outfitted with all new furnishings. This home is truly a welcoming delight during EVERY season of the year.
Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, approximately 2000 square feet interior, a 650 sq. ft. covered porch with deck heater, outdoor living room and lounge chairs, alfresco dining for 6+ guests, adjacent 2-car garage plus washer and dryer as well as YEAR-ROUND HOT TUB ACCESS and outdoor saline pool open Memorial Weekend through Labor Day.
Unlike many homes in Riverwild, the Riverwild Retreat is fully air conditioned for those warm summer days!
The family room features a vaulted ceiling, HDTV/DVD/CD with surround sound and a cozy gas fireplace. Bedroom 1 on the main level features a King Size Bed and en suite full bathroom. Upstairs, Bedroom 2 also features a King Size Bed and Bedroom 3 features two twin beds with ample floor space for additional kids in sleeping bags. Each bedroom features a TV/VCR/DVD and alarm clock.
Our "cook's kitchen" is fully equipped by owners who love to cook! Features include granite countertops, real hardwood floors stainless steel appliances, 5-burner gas cook top, bar with 3 stools, and a full stock of utensils and countertop appliances.
The Deschutes National Forest is only 1.5 miles away. For shopping and restaurants, the Old Mill District is 1 mile away and Bend's main street/downtown is located just 2 miles away.
Central Oregon is an outdoor mecca for mountain and road biking, hiking, equestrian, snowshoeing, skiing and cross country skiing. Trails leading to the Deschutes River Trail and the Phil’s Trail network in the National Forest are connected to the resort. A huge variety of trails are in the immediate area. Mount Bachelor ski area is just up the road 18 miles and a shuttle is available in winter.
Golfers have over 20 courses to choose from! Tetherow is 1 mile away and Widgi Creek is 3 miles. There is great fishing on the Deschutes River, as well as many area lakes.

Why the Owner Chose Bend
Before purchasing our home in Riverwild, we owned in the Sunriver area, but found ourselves spending a great deal of our "vacation" time driving to "Bend" because the restaurants were so much better and the proximity to the mountain was exactly the same! We also chose to build in Riverwild because it is adjacent to the Deschutes River Trail. It feels secluded, but is minutes away from all we need!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is very conveniently located, newly constructed in late 2006 and furnished with all new furniture, luxury linens, and all the conveniences of home. Unlike many vacation homes in the area, we have central A/C which is critical in the summer months.

We enjoyed part of a week at your Riverwild Retreat and highly recommend the home and the area. The home is beautiful, spacious and well laid out for a group or for just a few people. The open floor plan allowed a comfortable living/dining/kitchen area while the bedrooms were private, spacious, and comfortable - with TVs to boot. We were an easy walk to the beautiful trail along the Deschutes and an even easier walk to the clubhouse / pool / hot tub. Excellent location - direct shot to the mountain and cross-country skiing but just a few minutes back to the mill shopping area and lots of restaurant choices. And well-equipped kitchen. A super all-season retreat. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. It made a perfect base for our week in Bend where we hiked, skied, watched videos, and sat by the fireplace reading books or surfing the internet. The easy access to the Deschutes River Trail was most convenient for either a short walk or a longer one to the Old Mill District and even downtown Bend. This is a spacious and immaculate home. The bedrooms were large and comfortable; the kitchen well-equipped and the near-by hot tub a special treat. We can’t imagine a nicer place to anchor a Bend get-away.

We had a perfect week in Bend thanks to this wonderful home! The owners have made this a truly comfortable, warm, and convenient place to stay, way beyond our expectations. That's coming from people who admit to being a bit more high maintenance than most. Just bring your clothes, shoes, skis and snowboards, and everything else is pretty much covered in this home. Very close to the Mill and downtown shops and restaurants, and on the way to Mt. Bachelor. We liked it so much we started looking at available properties for sale in the same area. Snow could have been better at Bachelor (unusually dry month with mostly blue skies every day), but still had a great time. Thanks!!!

I want to thank you for sharing your home with us. The area is private, beautiful, quiet and just 2 minutes from everything (shopping, downtown, food). The weather was amazing; my husband was able to golf at Tetherow ('hard') and Aspen Lakes ('one of the best courses I've ever golfed at'). We began our drive home with 'we have to bring our friends here for a couples weekend...they will love it!' So until next time... :)

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We were in Bend for a wedding and the house location was ideal. Close to town, close to the breweries ;), close to lots of great restaurants and when we wanted to cook we had the ideal kitchen. The house is beautifully decorated, warm and cozy. It was SOOO much better than a hotel room. I would love to come back and enjoy the summer options. Thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at your home! It was so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel for 7 days! The house was very well equipped...better than any that I have stayed at in the past. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were basic staples there which was great for a family that likes to cook. The family room was spacious and had room for all of us to gather, watch movies (there are many great DVDs available), play games and relax. The location is convenient to town and close to the river trail. The beds were comfortable and the extra 1/2 bath quite convenient. If we return to Bend again in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to rent your lovely home again. Thanks for having every little thing so nice!

Several members of my family and I stayed in this lovely, very clean house while attending a family reunion party held at Mt. Bachelor Village Resort. We all enjoyed the location (perfect for the party), comfort, and openness. My husband and I loved sitting outside on the deck each morning taking in the mountain air. Five adults and one older teen stayed in the house and we had lots of space. House actually looked just like the photos on the site -- only perhaps a little better in person. We'd rent it again.
