The adage "if it sounds too good to be true than it must be" does not apply here. Owners were fantastic to work with and their home exceeded all expectations. The pictures are spot on "luxury living" is an accurate discription. Amenities did not have the "feel" of a vacation rental. If your looking for a "home away from home" stay in Bend this is the one. The only reason I would not reccomend this property is I want it available for my next trip to Bend. Based upon others reviews my "keep it a secret" strategy will not work so I have already reccomended it to friends, family, and co-workers. I have rented homes in most of the surrounding resorts in Bend this is definitely my new first choice.

We had a great time over 3 day weekend. You're place was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen with multiple appliances. Lot's of DVD's for viewing and 3 TV's which the kids loved! The location is superb being close to downtown Bend and an easy drive up to Mt. Bachelor. We were also able to take a beautiful walk along the river with well maintained trails. We will definitely come stay again!

We enjoyed part of a week at your Riverwild Retreat and highly recommend the home and the area. The home is beautiful, spacious and well laid out for a group or for just a few people. The open floor plan allowed a comfortable living/dining/kitchen area while the bedrooms were private, spacious, and comfortable - with TVs to boot. We were an easy walk to the beautiful trail along the Deschutes and an even easier walk to the clubhouse / pool / hot tub. Excellent location - direct shot to the mountain and cross-country skiing but just a few minutes back to the mill shopping area and lots of restaurant choices. And well-equipped kitchen. A super all-season retreat. Thanks.

A perfect spot to anchor a Bend Get-Away

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. It made a perfect base for our week in Bend where we hiked, skied, watched videos, and sat by the fireplace reading books or surfing the internet. The easy access to the Deschutes River Trail was most convenient for either a short walk or a longer one to the Old Mill District and even downtown Bend. This is a spacious and immaculate home. The bedrooms were large and comfortable; the kitchen well-equipped and the near-by hot tub a special treat. We can’t imagine a nicer place to anchor a Bend get-away.

We had a perfect week in Bend thanks to this wonderful home! The owners have made this a truly comfortable, warm, and convenient place to stay, way beyond our expectations. That's coming from people who admit to being a bit more high maintenance than most. Just bring your clothes, shoes, skis and snowboards, and everything else is pretty much covered in this home. Very close to the Mill and downtown shops and restaurants, and on the way to Mt. Bachelor. We liked it so much we started looking at available properties for sale in the same area. Snow could have been better at Bachelor (unusually dry month with mostly blue skies every day), but still had a great time. Thanks!!!

I want to thank you for sharing your home with us. The area is private, beautiful, quiet and just 2 minutes from everything (shopping, downtown, food). The weather was amazing; my husband was able to golf at Tetherow ('hard') and Aspen Lakes ('one of the best courses I've ever golfed at'). We began our drive home with 'we have to bring our friends here for a couples weekend...they will love it!' So until next time... :)

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We were in Bend for a wedding and the house location was ideal. Close to town, close to the breweries ;), close to lots of great restaurants and when we wanted to cook we had the ideal kitchen. The house is beautifully decorated, warm and cozy. It was SOOO much better than a hotel room. I would love to come back and enjoy the summer options. Thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at your home! It was so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel for 7 days! The house was very well equipped...better than any that I have stayed at in the past. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were basic staples there which was great for a family that likes to cook. The family room was spacious and had room for all of us to gather, watch movies (there are many great DVDs available), play games and relax. The location is convenient to town and close to the river trail. The beds were comfortable and the extra 1/2 bath quite convenient. If we return to Bend again in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to rent your lovely home again. Thanks for having every little thing so nice!

Several members of my family and I stayed in this lovely, very clean house while attending a family reunion party held at Mt. Bachelor Village Resort. We all enjoyed the location (perfect for the party), comfort, and openness. My husband and I loved sitting outside on the deck each morning taking in the mountain air. Five adults and one older teen stayed in the house and we had lots of space. House actually looked just like the photos on the site -- only perhaps a little better in person. We'd rent it again.

We have rented vacation homes on the west side of Bend( the best side), for eleven straight years. This is by far our favorite. It is scenic, quiet, peaceful and convenient. The Walls' have furnished it beautifully and comfortably and have equipped it with everything their guest need to feel at home. After a day of skiing, hiking, golfing, biking, rafting or shopping, it is simply a wonderful place to return to and recharge your batteries. We give it our highest recommendation for a Bend vacation rental.

My family and I have used VRBO several times to find vacation rentals. The house we rented from the Walls in Bend was the best ever. It is in a perfect location for skiing (on the way to the mountain but not far from town) and hiking (Deschutes river trail is a short walk from the house). The house is brand new and well appointed. The furniture for sitting and sleeping is comfortable. The garage is nice because it keeps your vehicle dry and warm. The best feature for us was the kitchen. We like to cook while traveling this kitchen had real kitchenware like all clad pots and pans.

This house is just perfect for our two families. It is spacios and open with an inviting floor plan. We stayed 9 nights and cooked almost every meal at home. The kitchen is very well stocked and has enough plates to serve meals for a crew. It is located in a very convenient location to downtown as well as shopping and Safeway was only a few minutes away. Loved being able to just head out the front door to the trails for a run in the morning.

We attended a wedding in Bend in September, and stayed at this beautifully appointed house with our 3 toddlers. The hosts were very helpful in making the arrangements needed to get cribs set up and a stroller delivered. The house has everything one could need for a short break: all high-end modern appliances; comfortable furniture and beds. The location is ideal for exploring the Deschutes River Trail - we took the kids on numerous picturesque walks by the rushing river and saw some local wildlife. Also a short drive to downtown Bend with charming restaurants and wine bars. We really enjoyed our night out while our baby sitter watched the kids. We would definitely stay here again when visting friends. I would recommend this highly to anyone planning a trip to Bend.

Our three-day stay in the Wall's home was delightfully comfortable, made still more agreeable by the tasteful decor. The living area was warm and invited lively conversation. The bedrooms were well appointed and quiet, the bathrooms sufficient in size, storage, and cleanliness. We found the walk-in master closet a pleasant surprise. The highlight may have been the bright and workable kitchen and capacious dining nook. The cooking supplies left behind inspired a bit of post-ski baking. For a mid-winter stay, our weather was stunning, which meant we enjoyed a trek along the sparkling Deschutes and returned home as invigorated as we were rested. In all, we would be pleased to call this our home for a stretch again in the future.

This home has the luxury of a 5 Star Hotel with all the comforts of home - and more! The quiet neighborhood together with the proximity to the Deschutes River Trail, mountain biking trails and downtown made this house the perfect location for us. There is ample room for the kids to play outside or in and the house and porch are set up for great visits with family and/or friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations!

Wow - what a beautiful home in a beautiful location. My family recently stayed for a week at this pristine property. We have used VRBO numerous times and now have a new favorite! There is nothing this home does not have - it is very well equipped and comfortable! The home was immaculate, unbelievably clean. Everything we could have possibly needed during our stay was available to us. The owners have thought of everything with the happiness & comfort of their guests in mind! The beds were so comfortable & the sheets incredibly soft! I could go on & on....we hope to be back soon!
