Featuring seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, this extraordinary property is the perfect setting for corporate getaways and private retreats. The estate encompasses the original home of late actress Ruby Keeler and singer Al Jolson. Guests enter the gated private drive lined with palm trees and expansive lawn area. The large foyer welcomes guests into the living area. Also this house has a salt water pool and is heated at approx 80 degrees, which makes for very comfortable swimming any time of day
Food service is a breeze in the vast kitchen, large enough to provide food for a crowd with commercial stove, an island with teppanyaki-style grill, double Sub-Zero fridges and a Sub-Zero freezer. The spacious adjoining living area with fireplace opens out onto the huge front lawn as well as into the courtyard with private salt water pool and a spa. Interior corridors lead to four guest rooms with king and queen sized beds. An additional guest bedroom with king sized bed and private living area and bath is just off the kitchen.
All bedrooms, living room, dining area, entry, have flat panel TVs with satellite cable. All bedrooms have a private bath. The two bedroom “pool house” is separated from the main house. Each bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed. The home sleeps sixteen guests total. The layout provides plenty of privacy and space for meetings or for just relaxing. The residence sits on two acres atop Newport Beach’s Back Bay ecological reserve. Upper Newport Bay is comprised of over seven hundred fifty acres of wetlands and surrounding Nature Preserve. The nearby Muth Interpretive center features educational programs on the protection and preservation of California Coastal Wetlands.
Opportunities for activities abound. A path that leads to Back Bay trails for walking or jogging is adjacent to the front lawn and a municipal golf course is just a stroll away. Disneyland is 30 minutes away, Legoland is an hour’s drive. San Diego’s Zoo and Animal Park are about an hour and a half away. Drive to Los Angeles in less than an hour. Newport Peninsula and its miles of oceanfront beach is less than 10 minutes away as is the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Unparalleled shopping can be found nearby at charming Balboa Island, Corona del Mar, Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza, Crystal Cove Promenade and more.
