Cette maison est très sympa, bien équipée et idéalement située. On est tout proche des parcs Disney et à 1h30 de toutes les plages. Si comme nous vous arrivez en fin de journée (Cdg / Orlando), prenez à gauche en sortant de "Indian Creek" et en 5 minutes vous avez tous les restaurants et commerces nécessaires pour passer une première et excellente soirée. Le wifi de la maison est très efficace et très pratique pour garder un contact avec la France. La literie est de très bonne qualité. Pour les petits déjeuners ne vous embêtez pas ! Faites comme nous ! Filez chez Denny's ...

We stayed there over the Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed it. Great location, only minutes from Disney and right next to shopping area with restaurants and grocery store. Kids had a lot of fun with amenities in the house as well. Will definitely stay there again.

Nous sommes restés dans cette maison 2 semaines en Août 2011. En arrivant sur place vous ne serez pas surpris ! La maison correspond EXACTEMENT à la description qui en est faite sur internet. Nous avons voyagé à deux couples dont un avec un bébé de 7 mois : Pas de problème : tout est fourni (le lit, le siège BB pour les repas). En bref, vous vous sentirez chez vous au niveau équipement et pas la peine d'emporter votre garde-robe intégrale ou votre nécessaire de survie en pays étranger : l'électro-ménager est complet, il n'y a plus qu'à appuyer sur les boutons Start! Je précise aussi que tout est très propre, autant à l'intérieur de la maison qu'à l'extérieur : c'est exemplaire. Si vous avez des ados ou bien si vous êtes un jeune adulte : billard, babyfoot, xbox ... Vous n'avez pas envie de faire la vaisselle, ni les courses ? alors vous conduisez 3 minutes et vous avez le choix d'une bonne vingtaine de restos au bas mot ... Si votre objectif est d'écumer les parcs d'attraction d'Orlando, vous serez au calme tout en étant au maximum à 30 min de l'entrée du parc le plus éloigné : seaworld 20min, universal 20min, disney 15 min etc.. Dans un rayon d'une heure et demi de route (et ça se fait finalement très bien même avec un tout petit bébé) vous aurez accès à quantité d'activités : Parc hors du temps et très "vieille floride" à SILVER SPRINGS. Après 2 jours de parcs aux attractions folles vous souhaitez faire un truc relax : direction Kelly Park : descente en bouée le long d'une rivière paisible ... le paradis. Je ne citerai pas tout : c'est juste pour montrer qu'on est pas obligé de faire que Mickey ! Après vos excursions vous apprécierez la piscine à la maison avec un petit verre de margharita ! Merci à C.R pour sa disponibilité et sa réactivité à répondre et ses indications précises. Il y a également un manager pour la maison sur place mais tout est tellement impeccable qu'elle doit s'ennuyer ! Séjour Extra dans une maison IMPECCABLE.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits début août 2011 dans cette maison et notre séjour était parfait; la villa est très spacieuse, très claire et superbement décorée; tout était très propre; la cuisine est très bien équipée avec beaucoup de vaisselle et d’ustensiles ; la piscine est très agréable, très bien exposée. Nous étions avec 3 jeunes de 16 à 20 ans qui ont adoré le billard, le babyfoot et la console de jeux à leur disposition. La maison est située bien au calme et est idéale pour se reposer avant ou après les parcs d'attractions qui sont tous très proches. Nous avons eu d'excellents contacts par téléphone ou par mail avec la propriétaire avant notre départ et elle nous a fourni des instructions très précises pour notre arrivée. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ces quelques jours et conseillons vivement cette location pour des familles qui souhaitent visiter les parcs d'attractions tout en se reposant.

Great Disney Week

We had the privilege of staying at this property for a week in July. The property is just as advertised; close to Disney, clean, well kept and lots of room for all. We made a last minute decision to rent in this area and we were lucky to find such a great spot. The owner was very prompt in answering some of our questions before we decided to rent and was very accomadating when it came time for the transaction. I would highly reccommend this property to any of my friends or family. When we travel back to the area again, I hope the "Around The World" house is available.

I must say hands down, this was the best vacation we have ever had to Florida! Everything in the house was exactly as stated and my son fell in love with the wonderful pool. The decor was defiantly a highlight, what a wonderful idea with all the themes for the kids and adults alike. The home was very clean and worry free. Christine was happy to meet all of our expectations and answered all of my questions with prompt return. I have already called all of my family and recommended this home as the #1 place to stay when they visit Florida. Thanks Christine, for the most relaxing memorable vacation our family has ever had.

It was like a home from home ! Clean and well maintained. Nice pool and huge lanai area. We especially like the quietness of the area. It is well situated for all local amenities along the 192. Disney’s theme parks, Universal and Seaworld are easy to get to from the villa. We have had holidays in 2 different villas before and this one has been the best, this was our second time staying there and it just makes our vacations so perfect. We would definetly recommend this villa to our friends. And I wouldn’t be the first to mention that, but working with Christine was very easy : she was very helpful and responsive

Hard to recommend this one

We stayed in this house for 11 days. When we arrived, we found a notice that had been left for us telling us that the house is clean, and must be left as clean as we found it, or be charged a cleaning fee. Next to this notice, we were provided with a BOIL WATER NOTICE. Yes, we were informed that the water was unsafe to drink, wash dishes, or even wash our hands! (Ice maker, showers, pool?) Along with the boil water notice, there was a notice that the telephone would only work in the city, and that other calls would be blocked. (so much for the ‘call anywhere in the U.S.’ mentioned in the ad) But, it did say that you could use a ‘calling card’ to call elsewhere. In reading a previous review, I noticed that the owner rebutted a statement that guests were asked to do laundry. Imagine my surprise when, posted above the wash machine, we found a sign telling us to wash, dry, fold, and return our linen to its corresponding bedroom ‘for the housekeeper’ prior to our departure. AN ACTUAL PRINTED SIGN! The ambiance is further diminished by the numerous postings threatening to charge you for everything. Leave too many trash bags, a fee, lower the A/C below 75 degrees, a fee, plug the toilet, a fee, etc. So, the house was neat (although it seems it may have been cleaned with contaminated water), the bed was comfortable, and the TV was nice, but being informed that you have to use bottled water for drinking, washing, and even bathing is rather difficult to get past, it also added greatly to the cost of our stay. Add to this the notice that guests are required to leave the house as clean as they found it despite these conditions or be charged/fined and I simply can't recommend this place to others. The day of our departure we had to get up early, wash linen and towels, clean the floors, etc. all by 10 am, or be charged a late departure fee. As for the deposit, we had to pay 4% on top of the deposit when we sent it to the owner. Then, instead of simply refunding the deposit, which would have given us a refund of the 4% as well, the owner chose to send us the deposit through paypal as a new transaction. This caused us to incur an additional 4% fee. So, 8% of our deposit was lost to unnecessary fees.

Owner response:First of all, to explain the complains and for our futur guests: If you face a problem, don’t understand something, or if you aren’t sure : please give a phone call to our local manager: Sandy will be happy to help you. Of course in Around the World, even if you travel through different atmospheres and continents, you don’t need to boil the water before drinking it ! It’s a Florida regulation which explains what you have to do in case of Hurricanes, if the water becomes unsafe to use. But before doing that, the state of FL will have called for this procedure, and the manager will have called you as well. As it’s a short term rented house, it’s compulsory for us to have this notice in our directives book. The phone isn’t restricted. As it’s advertised, we provide unlimited phone calls in the US and Canada but NOT overseas. For the Laundry, we just ask our guests to put all dirty linen in the washing machine, in order to speed up the cleaning. But maybe our sign isn’t clear enough and we will rewrite it. This allows early check-in or late check-out. We NEVER charged anyone for early/late check in/out, whenever we were asked, and able to organise it. We also don’t ask guests to clean the house: as it’s said on our VRBO’s page, for less than 6 nights there is a cleaning fee, but it’s free of charge for more than 6 nights. In the same state of mind, we ask guests to let the house in a normal state of use, NOT more. As it’s a short term rented house, we have to follow strict regulations, and have to put signs everywhere warning our guests about local rules, and fees if they don’t comply with them (garbage, rest room...). And other signs on how to use devices (pool alarm, air conditionning…). Do you think if we really asked our guests to clean up the house, linen and use bottled water we would get such good reviews ? About Payment: You can use wire or cash/Check deposit at any Wells Fargo Bank. But if you elect to pay via Paypal there will be 4% fee, charged by Paypal. It’s clearly said on our booking terms. Moreover we offered the guest to send back his deposit by check (free) but he refused and asked to have it back by Paypal…so 4% fee again. To avoid all kind of annoyances, we strongly recommend you to ask all the questions you have ! To us, before your vacation, and whenever, to our manager once you are in the house. We can only encourage you to e-mail us, or read other comments to make yourself an idea on our vision of holidays rental.

My wife and I stayed in Christine's home along with our granddaughter for a week in January of 2011. We've stayed in many homes in the Indian Creek, Sunset Lakes, and Lindfields communities located in the Kissimmee area. I would have to rate this in the top three homes of the 10 or so we've rented. In addition to being tastefully decorated, it had advantages over other similar properties. In addition to flat screen televisions, there was also high-definition cable available in the living room on the 40 inch TV, which is not generally an option in many homes. The floor layout was great, with the master suite on one side and guest rooms on the other. Although we did not use the pool (too cold in January), we did go out there and it was clear that at any other time of year, there was plenty of sun to provide a great swimming atmosphere. There was no end to the amenities, with a pool table and foosball table located in the garage, and an X-BOX console in the living room. The master bath was luxuriously appointed and very large. Although we didn't use all the guest rooms, they were all playfully decorated and would provide a great atmosphere for visiting kids. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of utensils and cooking gear. We ate out most nights but on the few that we required a working kitchen, we had no problem finding what we needed. The location was great as we were only 10 minutes from Disney's front gate. I would not hesitate to rent here again. Working with Christine was great. She was very responsive and anxious to ensure that we had everything we needed to ensure an outstanding week in Orlando.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this comfortable house. It looks just like it is pictured. The kids loved the themed rooms. Plenty of room..we were 6 and space was No problem! We especially like the quietness of the area and that right down the road were all kinds of places for things to do and eat. This has been the closest ever to Disney theme parks that we have ever stayed. The owner is wonderful to deal with. We are alreay planning on our return in the summer. I would recommed this property to anyone that wants a carefree stay. All the amenities needed to cook and just have a fun, relaxing time.

Trés belle maison. Parfait pour une famille avec trois ou quatre enfants ou deux familles avec un ou deux enfants. On peut profiter de la piscine le soir pour se détendre en toute sécurité pour les enfants. Les parcs sont tous à une trentaine de minutes et aucune nuisance ne vient perturber un séjour dans cette maison cossue. Internet, téléphone, DVD et jeu vidéo à volonté... Ha oui, il manque un BBQ :)

Owner response:Un grand merci à JC pour ces commentaires, les premiers en Français, qui, je l'espère aideront nos futurs clients Francophones dans leurs démarches . 2 précisons au sujet des remarques faites par JC: Seul les parcs de Seaworld et Universal studio(dont fait partie le parc Harry Potter) sont situés à 30 minutes, l'ensemble des parcs Disney se situe entre 10 et 15 mn. Quant au BBQ, suite à un certain nombre de problèmes d'utilisation, nous n'en laissons plus à demeure, mais il existe la possibilité d'en louer un pour votre futur séjour. Nous travaillons avec une entreprise locale spécialisée dans la location de ce type de matériel.

We have stayed in the general area many times over the past 10 years, so already knew it was a great location for shopping, restaurants, attraction visits etc. Our experience in this home was first class - the house is very well furnished and equipped with eveything you could possibly need for a great holiday. Dealing with the owner was also a great experience - very professional and all queries and questions dealt with very speedily at all times. We will be returning next year and I would not hesitate in recommending this property to any of my friends.

My family of three stayed at the house for 4 weeks to visit all the themeparks. It was a wonderful stay and after a busy day in a themepark it felt like coming home. The villa is very spacious and clean. It is nice decorated and it is in a safe neighbourhood. There are many restaurants and supermarkets within 1 mile.

My family stayed at the Around the World House while visiting Orlando for the AAU Junior National Volleyball tournament. The house is exactly as it is shown in the photos. Extremely well maintained and managed. We had 2 adult couples, and children 20, 19, 17 and 16. Plently of room for everyone! We had to attend events at Disney's Wide World of Sports and the Orlando Convention Center. The house was extremely accessible to both venues. Had a slight issue with the battery for the pool alarm but the property managers handled it immediately. I work for Disney and could have stayed at an onsite resort at a discount. We decided we all wanted to stay together and after much searching...settled on this house. Dealt with the owners strictly via email and had no problems at all. It was a a fantastic choice and we will recommend to others!!

My best friend and I just spent a week 6-6-10to 6/12/10 at Around the World, very nice, clean .There are several places to eat within 1 mile and a local grocery store.DisneyWorld was only 5 min away!! We were asked to check out early by 8am and do the laundry which we did for the management because they were very busy that day.We would recommend this home for your vacation. Thanks Ms.Fox

Owner response:After having checked with our manager, our guests have never been asked to do the laundry, as we pay the house keeper for that. As for the early departure, in order to organise his duty day, the manager called the guest to, indeed, check at what time they would be leaving the house. As our guests answered that they would leave around 8 AM because they had to travel back to Tenessee, he scheduled the cleaning at that time. We really think that there has been a big misunderstanding between the manager and our guests, as it is the first time in 2 years that we face this problem.

Our family stayed in Christine's beautiful home in April 2011. Our 3 kids spent every available minute in the heated pool and when we were able to drag them out, relaxed in the comfort of nicely decorated rooms with a TV of their own to watch. My wife and I were both able to connect to the wireless internet with our own laptops while the girls relaxed, and my parents joined us on this trip, enjoying their own nicely sized bedroom with their own bath suite. Being only 10 minutes from Disney and about 20 from Universal, travel was never an issue. I simply cannot say enough about this location and when we return again and are in need of a 4BR house I will not hesitate in booking as early as possible.

Wonderful stay

Clean, comfortable, and spacious house, yet cozy. We felt as if we were home. We enjoyed the pool. Clean, safe, quiet, and well lit development. Close to Disney parks, Sea World and Universal. We went during Easter/Spring Break, even with traffic Universal was less than half hour away (being the most distant of the major theme parks). There is a well stocked supermarket, pharmacy, and major restaurants about a mile away. Managing agent was very quick to take care of a minor issue at the villa (beeping pool alarm that ended up needing a change of batteries). Great place for a family with children or teens. Quick meal preparations, grilling outdoors and doing a few loads of laundry during longer stays is very convenient.

We enjoyed our stay at "Around The World" very much! We were only there to sleep since we logged almost 50 hours in the theme parks during our 5 day stay! The home is immaculate! Our only suggestion would be for brighter lights! The owner's are awesome to deal with, we would definitely recommend staying here & if we are ever in the area again, we would certainly stay here again.
