One short trip over the Newport bridge to downtown shopping, coffee shops, night clubs, the best restaurants in Bend, and Drake Park. The shopping, cinema and restaurants offered at the Old Mill District are only minutes away. Touring bikes are available upon request.
The Cottage is the perfect home base for world-class rock climbing at Smith Rock, "apres ski" after a day at Mt. Bachelor. Kayaking, mountain and road biking, cross country skiing, alpine skiing, horse back riding, white water rafting, music in the park, and seasonal festivals all await your arrival - along with two friendly canines (a thirteen-year-old labrador and an English springer). Please let us know if you prefer wine (red or white) or local beer upon your arrival.

Why the Owner Chose Bend
Our vacation rental (cottage) was built on our property in 2006. It was intended to have grand parents and friends visit us in Bend as much of our family is out of state. We made the decision to rent on VRBO in the Fall of 2008 and wish we had only done it earlier as we have had such a positive experience with all of our guest.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
We are as close as you can get to all that downtown Bend offers while being set on very charming Drake rd. The cottage was designed and built to replicate the main home which was built in the 1930's. We used period materials in its construction and are often asked if they were built at the same time.
