We just got home last night from our week at Brianhead (Jan 2-5, 2012) -we had a great time skiing –snow coverage was adequate and weather was perfect for skiing the whole week. We enjoyed your place and the location of your unit—great views. We used the discount tickets you provided us for 3 days of skiing for the four of us at $25 per ticket--best deal anywhere. We purchased lift tickets at the main lodge at the end of each day so tha we could ski from the parking lot right below your place onto the lift which was less than 100 feet away--we were first on the lift each day---and never had a lift line the whole week. Your place worked out great for us—we had 4 of us—two of us old timers—(56 and 70 and still skiiing) and my son and his friend (20-21). The kitchen worked out great for us for all meals and the upstairs game area worked well-as the boys brought their own game system as well. They had a separate bedroom upstairs when they finished gaming. The 4th floor unit does give you exercise--going up and down each day--but it also gave us the best views from both the front room window and the peaceful back balcony! I would suggest the addition of a small table in the large kitchen area--with 4 chairs--to supplement the 4 barstools at the large counter. This would help accommodate a larger group. We had a great time and will come back next year!

GREAT LOCATION, BUT BEWARE

First off, I will start with the good. The location of this condo is exceptional. Looking out of a picture window are two lifts up beautiful picturesque snowy hillsides, with little or no lines. (Also, having Georg's Ski Rental right across the street was very convenient.) These features were a big plus in my book since our main goal was to snowboard. However . . . Now for the condo itself. We had six people and it was crowded, even though the description says it can sleep up to 10. I cannot imagine having 10 persons in there. Actually this condo is best suited for four adults max and two children under 12. Good luck to anyone over 12 trying to manuever the stairs, and be sure to watch your head! Also, there is NO dinning table, so the six of us could never sit together to have a meal. Because of this, even playing games was difficult. This was a big minus in my book. But worst of all, this unit is on the fourth floor. The pack in and pack out is horrendous to say the least. Also, we arrived at night and there were no lights in the tight stairwell. So glad we did not have any elderly or heavy persons with us. (This was actually somewhat dangerous.) So, be ready for a good heart-pounding hike up to the unit. The other negative I must add here is that the beds are extremely hard. Make sure you take some Tylonal PM before retiring, which is what we ended up doing. But finally, I must add that the owner of this condo is extremely professional and kind. He was more than willing to give us advice and good directions since we had never been to the area, and he was very quick in returning the deposit. So, as you can see there are pluses and minuses You will have to weigh what is most important to you. I hope that this review has been helpful to future visitors.
Owner response:Fair comments, although some of the comments seem to be matters of personal preference. Let me address the size of the condo. The condo is 1326 sq feet with two adult bedrooms on the main floor and one children’s bedroom in the loft. Each adult bedroom has a queen size bed providing for a total of 4 adult sleeping positions. The children’s bedroom in the loft has two bunk beds each sleeping three children for a total of 6 children sleeping positions. This guests’ rental inquiry indicated there would be 2 adults and 4 children which should have easily been accommodated in a 1326 sq ft, 3 bedroom condo. The comment about the absence of a dining table is a good comment I will remedy before the next ski season. The description of the condo in vrbo indicates it is on the top floor. The benefit of being on the top floor is it allows for a loft. The loft is intended to be a special space children can claim as the own away from the parents. But yet close enough so parents can keep an eye on them and hear their activities. The comment about the mattresses is one of personal preference. All of the mattresses are new within the last three years and therefore fairly firm. I suggest you consider the above comments in light of the other 7 guestbook comments with a unanimous rating of 5 out or 5. Thank you.

Thank you very much for renting us the condo. The location was perfect. The ski in/ski out was wonderful. It served our purpose well. We had two families, 4 adults and 5 kids. The upstairs was nice for the kids to have their own space and bedroom. The views from the windows were spectacular. We had 4 days of perfect weather and ski conditions. There is now a TV in the family/living room! Thank you for the clean and well-maintained property.

We stayed at this condo for five nights (Dec 22-27). Between the two families we had four adults, 4 kids and a baby. The condo is exactly as advertised, very clean and spacious, with a modern fully equipped kitchen (we even baked our own bread), great wood-burning fireplace, comfortable beds, and lots of hot water. The two-floor layout is especially nice since it gave the kids not just their own space to sleep but also to watch TV, play games, etc. The location is truly ski-in/ski-out. The two new lifts next to the condo connect to every single lift in Brian Head, including Navajo Mountain. This was our first time renting a condo and we were a bit nervous beforehand. It turned out to be a great experience, and we highly recommend this condo to families looking for a great place to stay in Brian Head.

Just wanted to pass along my thanks for letting my family stay at your condo this past week. Everything worked great and had a nice time. Had over 2 feet of snow....seemed like the groomers couldn't keep up and one of our bigger challenges on Thursday was just getting the 50 yards from the condo to the lift because of so much snow! Nice challenge to have.

Thank you very much, we had an amazing time! Talk about a perfect location! We were able to reach both sides of the mountain easily. We didn't move our car once while we got there. We are already talking of going back. You are saved in my favorites and I'm sure you'll hear from us again.

A wonderful place to stay in while skiing in Brian Head. There are two ski lifts right outside the front door. The condo is completely renovated with new kitchen appliances and bedding. The property manager is also a blessing in disguise. Well worth the money!!

Beautiful view on the 4th floor, what a perfect place for skiers! The location is the best one we've ever stayed, loved the view and nearby to the slopes. You can wave to your kids from the living room's window as they are getting on the ski lifts. The unit is very clean and cozy, though we wished there was an TV in the living room.

My family stayed in this beautiful condo from 12/26/08-12/31/08. It offers everything you need with two ski lifts right outside the door. The whole unit is newly renovated with new kitchen applicances and bathrooms. Definitely a great place to stay while skiing in Brian Head.
