Location: Blue Ridge, Northwest High Country, Georgia, USA (Dial GA, Only 90 Minutes To Atlanta & 25 To Elijay GA)

Accommodations:  Cabin House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 8)

Sun Dial Lodge is surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest, which have many beautiful hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail with both extensive hiking as well as a smaller local trail, which are very close to the lodge.

The Lodge offers spectacular mountain views from almost every room on both the main and the upper level with 30’ ceilings in the main room. The entire interior is constructed of beautiful yellow pine and has been tastefully decorated with the mountain theme. The oversize dining room table will seat 8 with plenty of room to spare.

The Master Bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed, a TV and a screened in private porch. The large master bath has a jetted soaking tub with a separate shower.

On the Loft you may wish to enjoy Billiards by the gas log fireplace. A large desk is situated on the loft for your convince.

The Bedroom on the Main Floor has access to the main porch via double doors, and has a comfortable Queen sized bed, adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom.

The Lower Level Bedroom contains 2 comfortable Queen size beds, and adjacent to the bedroom is the lower bathroom. Also on the lower level you have a video room with a 50” High definition TV with DirecTV DVD and VHS. You can enjoy the expansive porch on this level with access to the 2.5 acres and out door fire pit.

You will see much wild life in the area; you may spot deer from one of the porches, and sometimes turkey and an occasional black bear as well as humming birds and much more.

Conveniently located only 25 minutes to Blairsville, Blue Ridge and Ellijay, and about 1 hour from Murphy NC, and a choice of 2 rivers for white water rafting. Locally you will find any number of things to keep you occupied.

Dial is one of the most beautiful areas of the North Georgia Mountains, with the Toccoa River near by, and beautiful pastures as well as the Mountains. You will feel as if you were a million miles from civilization and the area is extremely quiet.

  • My three traveling companions and I had a really great time 10/29-10/31/09. The Fall colors were peaking and it was a beautiful sight to see from the large deck, hot-tub, or even inside through the wall of windows. The place is more like a big house with a cabin feel with all of the pine paneling. Very quiet, private. Everything was clean and the kitchen complete with everything. We plan on another trip - certainly WORTH the money.

  • We came back for a second stay after a fall visit last Oct.-Nov. to enjoy the New Year's holiday week and look at properties in the area. We have rented numerous cabins in the area over the last nine years, and this is my favorite. It has it all! A wonderful getaway spot from Florida, no matter what the season!   • Awesome!!! View incredible, no detail left out. Plenty of room for the whole family, plus a few. Not to big for just the two of us. Love the comfortable robes. View from the hot tub was almost as good as the view from the greatroom. I watched the NFL playoffs and felt like I was outside. Nicely decorated, very very comfortable. Well equiped kitchen. Just a wonderful space. Boy do I miss that view. We will book again. Add note: We watched a very large bird (I am pretty sure it was a bald eagle) fly over the valley. I have seen several on Lake West Point and used Google to look up info. Several sitings on Lake Blue Ridge and other area lakes.

  • Majestic View! Very private cabin with the best view I have EVER seen. We played pool each morning and ping pong each night. The hot tub was inviting. Enjoyed the outdoor swing on the porch. We felt at home!

  • Not sure I'd call the place a cabin. It was huge. We were so impressed. It was absolutely beautiful. You could tell that it wasn't just a rental, but that a lot of pride went into the place. Quality was obviously important. It seemed like nothing was spared. It was gorgeous, and well maintained. The fireplaces were stunning. The views of the mountains were breath taking. Plenty of nearby hiking trails, and not too far from the shops in the town of Blue Ridge. Very quiet and serene setting. Absolutely beautiful. Our only complaint was that we didn't have enough time up there. Definately a place I plan on returning to. Definately a place I'd recommend.
