We had a great time at Grin N Bear It. The cabin was clean and looked just like the photos. There were 3 couples and loved that we each had our own suite. We would recommend this cabin and would stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We arrived to find cabin just as described--very clean, comfortable beds, with many conveniences. Loved the hot tub. We definetly recommend this well-maintained property to those wishing to be close to Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the proximity to Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the scenic drives just out the door. also found the nearby Kroger store to have everything we could want to fix our meals at home in the cabin and dine on the porch. Our most anticipatedd sidetrip was to be to nearby historic Cade's Cove on Mon. But Sun. night the fire department advised us to leave immediately; the adjacent mountain had lost 35 homes in just over an hour and the ou-of-control fire was expanding rapidly. We were out in 15 minutes! Peggy graciously refundedd the rental. Fortunately, the fire was contained Monday before it encroached on the neighborhood of Grin and Bear It (how apt!!) so the cabin and its environs await your visit.Did you find this review helpful? My daughter and I decided to take a last minute vacation and your cabin was just perfect. Christine was wonderful and answered all of my questions. The cabin was close to everything we planned on doing which made it so convenient. The cabin was clean and just as described. I hope to be able to visit again in the future. Thanks Peggy for allowing us to book at the last minute and being so helpful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had planned out trip during a winter storm. We still decided to go ahead on the trip. When we got to the cabin on Thursday there was no electricty!! The power did come back on Friday early afternoon. Peggy was great to work with!! She checked in on us the whole time and would of offered one of her other cabins to stay at but they were all without power as well. To make up for the cold night (not too cold there is a gas fireplace) Peggy allowed us to stay an extra night at no cost. The cabin has 3 levels with lots of room. It is also very close to town and too high on the mountain. We would def recommend this cabin to others!! Thanks Peggy for taking care of us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: You are very welocome! I wanted to make sure you were all safe and didn't mind checking in on you often. It's very hard to be 5 hours away and not be able to help with the power outage. We did the best we could calling the power co over and over again until the the power was restored. I just wanted to note that you mentioned the cabin was high up on the mountain. I think what you meant was: the cabin is close to town and NOT high up on the mountain. Since we are the first cabin on the road I wanted to clarify that we aren't high up. Glad you enjoyed the extra day since you spent the first night in the dark. Hope to see you again next year! Memories.......

We enjoyed the Grin N Bear It cabin very much. It was pretty secluded and felt like we were the only ones on the mountain. Peggy was a joy to work with for a last minute trip and very helpful. The description of the cabin was spot on and the photos accurately depicted the cabin. We would recommend this property to our friends. The three floors gave everyone some privacy and then we would all meet in the morning with our cup coffee in the kitchen and enjoy the fireplace. We look forward to renting again with the owners. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us - we had a most enjoyable and memorable time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway.

We stayed at the cabin in October and everything was great. Weather was beautiful and cabin offered lots of privacy to each guest because of the separate bedrooms on 3 levels. Cabin was exactly as described and pictured on web. Owner was great to work with. She checked in with us periodically and wanted to make certain everything was perfect with our stay. I would definitely recommend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway.
