We stayed for 3 nights in August; weather was absolutely perfect. Crisp cool nights; slept with the sliding door open in the master suite, no need for AC as the mornings were in the upper 40's! BeWay different from our NC hot weather. Your home was very clean; kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Great deck for drinking coffee in the morning and overlooking the distant mountains and the Fraser river right below. The master bedroom was very nice with a very comfortable bed. Would have been nice to have some shades on the window (for sleeping in a bit). The other 2 bedrooms had 2 double bunks, one with pink spreads for girls and one w/blue for boys. We had our 2 adult sons and their girlfriends so it was a perfect setup. Each room had a separate bath. Plenty of room for all. We had a great pizza dinner at Hernando's (Winter Place) and a great time riding horses at Snow Mtn Ranch -- Sombrero Stables. We spent most of our time at SMR and hiking in the surrounding mountains, visiting with my son who was working there for the summer.Found a great hike nearby, Columbine Lake -- about a 5 mile round trip. Not too difficult; but a beautiful alpine lake when you arrive. Great spot for a picnic. After 3 nights; we weren't ready to leave and were wishing we had booked it for the whole week. Lots of amenties -- great games/puzzles in the closet. While there was limited phone service (not much for AT&T, good for Verizon) and no cable -- it was nice to get away from it all; we had more time to chat, play cards and read. Very relaxing!! Highly recommended for families or couples.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have had to opportunity to stay here both during the summer and winter months and it is a wonderful place to stay. Being so close to the ski slopes in the winter and plenty of activities in the summer, we were never bored. Horseback riding and river rafting was one of our favorite adventures. It is a beautiful home and the price is great. The listing description was accurate, the property was clean and well maintained. The owner was very prompt in getting back to us on all of our questions. Thank you for sharing your awesome home with us!
