The Coos Bay Bar traffic includes: fishing and pleasure boats, freighters and barges. The Coast Guard practices many procedures within sight of the Lighthouse Suite. Their motor life boats surf at Bastendorff Beach when the waves are large.
This is a splendid place for photography. The Lighthouse Suite is nestled in Cape Arago State Park making it private and serene. Hiking to Shore Acres along coastal headlands is wonderful nature experience.
