Why the Owner Chose Albuquerque

Our other vacation rental, located in a 100-year-old casita, provides an intimate, nostalgic feeling. We decided that we would also like to host guests nearby in a larger, more modern setting. Both properties are approximately 1/2 mile from Old Town.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

In addition to being fully furnished, we provide everything else that our guests need while living in the condo, with the exception of personal items and food.

There is a large balcony off the master bedroom with a comfortable seating area. We added a large deck off the kitchen and installed a motorized awning. The deck has private, southern exposure, allowing guests the possibility of enjoying some sun even in the middle of winter. Nice landscaping. Privacy.

The rates include weekly cleaning at no extra charge for guests staying for longer periods. We ourselves do the cleaning to insure that it is done thoroughly.

An absolute MUST!

My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful condo for a month. The description of this vacation home and the photographs on the website are completely accurate - it wowed us as soon as we walked in the door. It was immediately obvious that the owners care a great deal about the comfort and cleanliness of each room, and their decorating ideas make you stop and say..."why didn't I think of that back home." The stay felt more like home than any other vacation rental we've had, and we've had many. The bed was actually more comfortable than our own - there wasn't one single night of restless sleep. We've already texted, spoken, and written to many friends and family members saying they must visit New Mexico and stay at the Sandia Mountain Condo...but we must be careful - we don't want them taking our vacation spot if we need it!!!! Thank you Bill and Joseph - hope to see you again soon.

Vicki & Paul, MA Having read previous comments all we can write is ditto, ditto, ditto. Accommodations - fantastic. Cleanliness - five star. Comfort - more comfortable bed than home . . . really! The only thing missed (other than family members) was an outdoor grill. Never pass up the bakery over the road - pizza the best. Green chile bread as tasty as the pizza. This condo is truly a home away from home. Love it. We'll return ASAP. Many thanks - we're glad we found you.

Wonderful Stay!

Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/29/11

Our one month stay was wonderful! The weather was perfect and the condo was just as described, very comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a place to call "home."We could walk to Old Town, restaurants, the park, and museums. The location was also ideally located close to a convenient highway system for getting anywhere quickly. We really enjoyed the Zoo, Aquarium, Gardens, Acoma Sky City Pueblo, hiking Sandia Peak, and the Turquoise Trail. We took the Railrunner (great connections and very inexpensive) to Santa Fe. The Popejoy Performing Arts Center at the University of New Mexico is outstanding. Great trip!!

Your home here at 1130 Mountain Road is an absolute delight. When we walked through your front door, after a delay of 3-4 hrs. on Amtrak, it was a most welcoming feeling. I felt like I was home & your attention to detail & to decor & artwork is very impressive & most relaxing. Going out every day & walking to the zoo, botanical garden & aquarium, Old Town, museums & planetarium, knowing the wonderful place we had to come home to, made every day a fantastic day. As two people who walk everywhere, your home was central for us to everything we wanted to visit & see & your cooking facilities were very adequate. Thank you both very much for sharing your home & a part of yourselves with us while we were visiting. One other note, your shower is one of the best I/we have enjoyed anywhere. Thanks again & maybe we'll be back.

Such an exceptional place to stay!!

Date of Stay: 07/09/11 Review Submitted: 07/28/11

From the moment I walked in the door I knew I would love it!! I wanted something modern, but with OLD TOWN charm. The location is just fantastic. If I traveled right on Mountain Road I would be downtown in minutes and if I traveled left I would be in Old Town in seconds. I was greeted every morning with the sweet smell of cinnamon and sugar from the bakery across the street and enjoyed the sunrise from the second floor deck while the hotair balloons floated by my bedroom. This condo has every amenity and the owners are exceptional in the fact that their property is very clean and well-maintained. Bill and Joseph allowed me to relax and answered all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. I came to relax and I can honestly say "Mission Accomplished"! Thank you for providing me with a home away from home!

(Note left by guests) We've loved our month in #4. Great location, splendid decor (especially the colors), thoughtful provisioning (e.g. an umbrella! scotch tape! a colander! a grater!), lovely patio --- Sandia Condo has it all. We're very glad we found it.
