There are plenty of homes that claim to be "on the water", but this one is practically surrounded by the waters of the Gulf. Located on a point of land just ten minutes East of Old Town on Big Coppitt Key, "Hammock House" offers something you simply cannot get in Old Town: it is not only right on the Gulf, but with two wide canals on either side. On some mornings, you can even see dolphins frolicking right off the point!
What's more, no expense was spared in furnishing this spacious modern home. You can see it in the imaginative original artwork on the walls and in the high-end furnishings used throughout the house. There are touches of tropical whimsy everywhere you look.
As soon as you walk around the house and see is the hammock that has given this home its name, you’ll know that you are truly in American Paradise. Hung between two palm trees, with a panoramic view of the surrounding Gulf, this hammock may well be the most popular place to hang at any time of day.
Life in Paradise:
As is the case with many homes in this area, the living spaces are on the top floor to maximize the breezes and light coming into the house. And as you climb the stairs to the main level, you will be once again amazed at the beauty of this setting.
The living room has five sets of French doors that open onto a private porch. There are overhead fans and a vaulted ceiling that add to the open, spacious feel of the room. The kitchen has granite counter tops and is fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances; even the most demanding chef will be pleased. The elegant solid cherry table will seat up to six, and all this in the presence of those wonderful sea breezes.
The Bedrooms:
There are three bedrooms on the main level of the house and an additional bedroom with separate bath and kitchenette on the ground level. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with shower.
The Beach:
Of course, being surrounded by all that beautiful tropical water wouldn't be complete without a beach, and that’s exactly what you’ll have all to yourself and in complete privacy.
The Boat Ramp & Dock:
If you have a boat or plan to rent one, you’ll be glad to know that this home has its own boat ramp and dock. Please contact us about the size of your boat to make sure it can navigate the waters immediately around the house.
