Fully equipped cabin is nestled in the woods on a private drive directly on the banks of the Muskegon River. Location and views from cabin are spectacular. Large deck area runs along the entire back of cabin and is the perfect place to entertain, nature watch or sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of the river. Deck has tables and seating for 10 guests and is a prime spot to enjoy dinner or drinks!
Take a short walk to the second deck level area. This deck area is closer to the river and has a built in fire pit with built in bench seating. Cook hotdogs, roast marshmallows and enjoy the sounds of the river flowing by. Step down from second deck area which leads to your private dock on the Muskegon River. Bring your own boat (private boat launch available) or use the two canoes included with the cabin for first-class fishing or canoeing fun!
The Muskegon River has something for everyone. Year-round top-notch fishing for Steel Head, Salmon and Trout are unbeatable and you won’t go home talking about the “one that got away!” Cabin is located between Croton Dam and Newyago which boasts some of the best Salmon and Steel Head water that Michigan has to offer. People travel from all over the midwest to fish this area, guides are seen regularly right out in front of cabin - DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO FISH THIS AWESOME AREA OF THE MUSKEGON RIVER! Bring your own boat or use the canoe that comes with the cabin. Another option is to float the clean, clear river by canoe or tubes with family or friends on a beautiful sunny Michigan summer day.
Cabin accommodates up to 9 people in beds and all linens are provided. Main level has 2 bedrooms (2 twins and 1 full bed) and a full bathroom, along with a fully stocked kitchen, dining table for 6 and cozy sitting area with fireplace. Lower level offers den area with pull out couch, additional twin bed and master bedroom with queen bed. Second full bathroom located on lower level with a large mud room area to store any hunting/fishing supplies. Cabin is located 3 miles to the town of Newaygo where you can find canoe rentals, bait/tackle supplies, grocery store, movie rentals, fast food etc...

Here is what we experienced: The serene beauty and sounds of the forest. A modern cottage, comfortable and clean. A spacious family room, well decorated with catches of a hunter - fisherman - photos of a rugged outdoorsman, a lady with a winsome smile, charming children. An ample deck with glorious view of the river flowing between forrested hills, well-built access to the swiftly flowing water. Thoughtful touches, from firewood to water for coffee. We felt like guests, rather than renters. Thank you for making your personal space available to us! July 5, 2009
