* WINTER, SPRING, SUMMER, OR FALL: Enjoy the bright colors of Fall, build snowmen or drag the sled out in winter, or just relax by the (warm!) pool in summer. - Suitability
- Pet Friendly : Please ask us about your pet. The property is open with a state forest adjoining it on one side so a lot depends on the nature of your pet.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : The entire house is on one floor (short step up) and the two front gardens are at the same level as the house. However the pool, pond, lower lawn and field are down a steep slope.
- Kid Friendly : Plenty of toys and books for children. Soccer balls and (small!) goals, a badminton set, a full train set, and assorted indoor games and toys. Also 50+ books for kids of all ages.

We are university professors who love to travel (and often end up staying in houses that we find on VRBO owners!).
Why the Owner Chose Putnam Valley
Hudson Valley, with its many lakes and points of access to the Hudson River, is an amazingly beautiful region. A place of our own in this area, with its summer arts and away from the city quiet, but just an hour away from our apartment - who could resist!
The Unique Benefits of this Country House / Chateau
Shakespeare at Boscobel, dining at Cold Spring or at Blue Hill, lazing at the pool, playing ball with the kids, pulling the boat out to the center of the pond with a book, hiking at Fahnestock, so much to do!
