Highland Woods Golf and Country Club is a private, quiet, gated member-owned golf community located in Bonita Springs, Florida (25 minutes from Ft Myers Airport 10 minutes to Gulf beaches) Mid way between Naples and Fort Myers, just off US 41 (Tamiami Trial).
Highland Woods has a state of the art fitness center, full service Pro Shop, a lending library an elegant dining room and an exceptional bar / grille room which provides indoor and screened outdoor casual dinning - all within our gate!
The golf course offers challenging play for golfers of all types, skill levels and handicaps. The course was renovated in 2006 with new Champion greens, re-built bunkers, teeing grounds and cart paths. There are also excellent practice facilities for golf, including an aqua driving range, two putting greens, a chipping area, and a practice sand bunker.
The tee-to-green distances range from a challenging 6,971 yards (73.8/133) from the Black tees, 6,314 yards (70.6/132) from the Blue tees, 6,007 yards (69.3/122)from the Blue/White tees, 5,866 yards (68.4/121) from the White tees, 5,204 yards (65.9/106) from the Gold tees and a comfortable 4,645 yards (67.2/115) from the Red tees.
The tennis facility at Highland Woods features four lighted soft-surface courts.
There are seven “common area” swimming pools in Highland Woods; one of which is just steps from this unit. The larger, main pool located near the Clubhouse also serves as the aqua-fitness center of Highland Woods. Water aerobics sessions are available 6 days of the week for both men and women offering low impact exercise.
The streets are very pedestrian friendly resulting in many residents walking, jogging, bicycle riding, etc. This adds to the feeling of community that is unique to Highland Woods.
The community also provides weekly organized activities, such as men's and women's golf days, bridge tournaments, tennis days, game nights, and theme dinner / dance nights. Highland Woods is conveniently located across from Bonita Bay and The Promenade, an upscale specialty restaurant and retail center and just outside the gate (a 15 min walk) is Target, a grocery and pharmacy, video store, bank and restaurants.
And we are just minutes from the new Coconut Point Shopping Center with over 300 stores! Highland Woods is only a 10-minute drive to the white, sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico where you can hunt for sea shells or just enjoy the sunshine, ocean breeze and amazing sunsets. Beach lovers will find snorkeling, diving, boating, sailing, jet ski and other rental opportunities.
