Why the Owner Chose Hiawassee
We have lived in the North Georgia mountains for 13 years, settling in Hiawassee which is a lush, green haven in the mountains crowned by a sparkling teal-green Lake Chatuge. The area we chose for our home is a natural for cabins and since my husband is a General Contractor and builds custom homes, it was a given. A Skyline Ridge Cabin Rental is nestled high on a ridge backed up to and overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest toward Helen, Ga. We have had a dream of creating a cabin business here since we finished building our own home, just above what is now our first cabin. The view from the cabin is simply put, "eye candy"! Each season of the year adds its own special beauty which enhances this very special place. We are excited about achieving our dream, and have plans to increase our number of cabins in the future. The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Upon opening the bevelled glass front door and viewing the panoramic vista that first meets your eye you will be amazed! God was really showing off when he created these beautiful mountains! Of course, our rustic cabin will enhance your whole "mountain cabin experience", it has all the amenities of home with the ambiance and feel of the mountains. The cabin, which is encircled by trees and very private, is alive with wildlife yet peaceful and quiet. Although it is "out in the country" the location lends convenience to town only 10 minutes away. The Hiawassee River meanders at the base of the mountain, and, yes, you may fish! There are loads of things to do and places to go, plus shopping and restaurants nearby. We truly have a grand location!

We stayed in this cozy cabin New Years Eve weekend. It was the 10 year anniversary of our meeting and we wanted a special place to spend this time. It was all we wished for and more. The first thing you will notice when you arrive at the cabin is how clean and how much detail is given to making your stay special. It was still decorated for Christmas which was a nice surprise. We had a fire the in the fireplace every night. The view is spectacular! The king bed was very comfortable and both bathrooms were clean and a good size. We especially enjoyed the restaurant menus left for our review and had some very good meals. This was one of the most memorable places we've stayed from VRBO and hope to return soon. Judy was very helpful and friendly to deal with. This place is GREAT.

I brought my family to celebrate our Christmas in a traditional Christmas setting. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful cabin. It was peaceful and tranquil. It was everything we wanted. Cozy. We had a toasty fire every night in the fireplace. We absolutely loved it and hope to visit again. Thank you Judy and Family.

Hi Judy, What an awesome time we had this past weekend (Dec. 2-5, 2011) in your beautiful cabin! I really didn't know what to expect coming up that mountain in the wee hours of the morning, but when it opened up to where your cabin is located, I knew we were going to enjoy our stay here! And when we opened the front door - the view was absolutely breathtaking!! Even my 16-year old daughter was impressed (and that is hard to do). It had such a nice, quiet and reflective atmosphere, that no one really wanted to leave the cabin to go into town, although we had tickets for the Christmas Tour of Homes and other scheduled festivities. We did manage to pull ourselves away to watch the Mayor's Christmas parade, visit Ingles to stock up, and to eat at the family-style Mexican restaurant (one of the many selections you so graciously made available for our review). Thank you and your husband for making this such an enjoyable experience; you guys really did think of everything. (We didn't even need half the things we brought along to "kill time," because all necessities and amenities, and then some, were provided.) I hope to visit every season until I get tired of the view - which I doubt will ever happen. May God continue to bless your endeavors to "share your [spectacular] view with the world."

Our visit was so much better then we could have imagined. The location was secluded, romantic and beautiful. It was like taking a glimpse into heaven. Judy thought of everything and then some. This cabin is a perfect retreat! Breathtaking views, solitude, spotless, very well maintained, and so cozy...can't say enough about how comfortable we felt there. The ambiance lends itself to total relaxation; the owners were professional & pleasant to work with. I want to personally thank Judy and Bradley for allowing us to spend a week in their wonderful cabin. It was the cleanest cabin with the most fabulous view we had ever seen. When the clouds floated down to meet the mountain tops, we thought we had been ascended to the heavens. Being that it was at the very end of the road, it was so incredibly quiet for us. We enjoyed every minute. If you want a quite, clean, well decorated new cabin with all the amenities, you have chosen the right one.
