House is next door to Oregon State Park and on a dramatic churn. Grass leads to tide pools and rocks with a short walk on the park road to a large sandy beach. It is a very short walk to the town itself where there are nine restaurants of various types.
Yachats is nestled between the mountains and the ocean with beauty in every direction. Storm watchers are invited! In the evenings, a 55" HD TV is available. The state park road is a favorite spot for walking, biking or sitting on the many benches and enjoying the view.

What a fantastic place! I've been to this house several times with different groups of people, and they all share the same reaction: hours and hours just staring at the ocean. High tide gives a mesmerizing show you just have to see for yourself. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My husband and I needed to get away from ongoing health issues and recharge at the ocean. We couldn't have picked a better spot. He was able to be at the ocean without needing to leave the house! It was better than the pictures can capture. The house was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable, and the VRBO staff went out of their way to make our visit special. We will return again. Not only are the views fantastic, but the sound and feel of the surf when the big waves hit the undercut rock are amazing. The house is perfect for someone who may not be able to physically walk the beach or climb on rocks, since the ocean is RIGHT THERE. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. If you are able, there are glorious beaches and trails near by. I found lots of agates, we saw sealions and pelicans daily, as well as kingfisher and oyster catchers. Yachats is an easy drive from Corvallis, via Newport. Can't recomment highly enough.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is an absolutely amazing house! The ocean and churn waves will fascinate you. The house is extremely comfortable and very inviting, with a fully stocked kitchen and the living room and dining room right on the ocean. Sitting on the deck in the sunshine, watching the waves, is worth coming back time and again to do. Low tides sometimes give the opportunity to get down in the churn to discover the starfish, anenomes, and other sea life. Whales, pelicans, sea lions, black oystercatchers, and others are often visible. The winter is also a really wonderful time to be here. The weather can be cool and rainy, but the waves are stupendous. It's a wonderful place!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
