Over the past 15 years we have enjoyed our Key West stays. We like the Shipyard because of its convenience to everything. Holiday Dance has the advantages of an end unit as close to Fort Zachary as possible. The extra window in the living area adds brightness and the lighting is dramatic. The large French door from the bedroom to the deck also provides light. It is a pleasant corner spot to spend time on the deck and enjoy the ocean breeze. This condo also includes wireless to help one keep in contact. We attend a lot of events while we are in Key West and found this condo stay to be one of the best.
Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Upon entering the Truman Annex one can't help but notice the serene beauty of the surroundings. The tree lined pathways, lush tropical flora, and decidedly quiet neighborhood were a welcome change from the sometimes raucous Duval Street: a true haven within a haven. The winding pathways through the area and little side streets that lead to some grand homes made for some enjoyable wandering strolls in the evening. The location is central and perfect for those who want to be close to all the action, but still want to be able to "go home to" a little piece and quiet. The unit being on the ground floor was a plus as it made carrying in the luggage much easier. The front porch and the back deck with its comfortable chairs and lounger were delightful places to relax and unwind early in the morning, or to massage aching feet after a day of sand and surf or pounding the pavement laden with shopping finds. The interior was bright and cheerful without being garish. Tropical without being tacky. The galley style kitchen was clean and sufficient for those who might like to cook and eat-in a few timess during their stay. It was also a plus having a washer and dryer handy within the condo. Each bedroom was simply but nicely appointed with ample closet space so one didn't feel as if they HAD to live out of their suitcase. The living room and eating area were open and airy and it was always refreshing to leave the french doors open to the back deck and let the tropical breeze blow in. The condo was quite neat and clean and had a decidedly Key West flare to it, right down to the adorable paintings in the living room by a local artist whom I bought a similiar painting from in Mallory Square. The binders left with brochures and the like were also quite informative and a nice touch, especially for those who are visiting Key West for the first time. It was also great to be able to bring my dog and I was so pleased to be able to find a pet-friendly rental.The Keys provide no lack of adventure and Holiday Dance provided a respite from the delightful maelstrom. Ali was helpful and informative, answering all of my questions before we arrived and taking the utmost care to make sure that we felt at home during our stay. She sent information and maps as well as detailed ammenity lists well in advance which helps to put me as a renter at ease. I would definitely recommend Holiday Dance to anyone who was looking for a comfortable, quiet, delightful place to stay in the Keys.

This rental unit was everything it was advertised to be: good location, clean and well-stocked. The owner is very accommodating and accessible. Having now toured the island and seen other rental options, this area is indeed optimal for a family. The unit is not large, the bathroom is small and basic, but was more than enough for our needs. Walls are a tad thin, fortunately our neighbours were not partying. Free wi-fi and printer are handy perks. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We have stayed here twice now...and counting the days until we can go back! Wonderful place, you will NOT be disappointed! Great location, great accommodations and I can't say enough about the owners...they have taken wonderful care of us.

Holiday Dance is a fantastic place to stay during your time in Key West. The property owners are very friendly,organized and accommodating. The property is well located in Old Town, clean and ideally suited for a family vacation or getaway with friends. The property owners have taken great care to provide an extensive inventory of household items that made us feel at home (ie: beach chairs, towels, kitchenware, etc, etc). My husband and I have stayed at Holiday Dance two times and fully intend to return as our experience with the property and its owners has been stellar. I would highly recommend a stay at Holiday Dance.

My wife and I stayed in this condo July 4th week 2010. The condo is very neat, clean and comfortable. The owners go out of their way to make sure your visit has everything you need and seek feed back for improvements. The location assures your security and privacy, but not isolation. My wife and I have stayed in other Truman Annex places, but this condo and the owners are the best. They may be in England but they are ready to address any problem that may arise. A very nice place for a great vacation in Key West, with our thanks to Ali and Derek! We are going back!

I stayed at Holidaydance for a girl's long weekend in June and it was absolutely perfect! The condo was very clean and comfortable. Located in walking distance of everything you need from Key West, yet far enough away from the crowd. Ali and Derek were extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. I would recommend this condo to anyone, except for when I want to use it.:)

We stayed at holidaydance for five days in April 2010 - It was a very nice condo and well stocked with everything we needed and then some. Property owner is very pleasant and wanting to make you confortable however she could. We would like to return again in the future. Well within walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

We had a great time exploring Key West at this rental. It was clean, quiet, and close to town, but away from the rowdies. We rented bicycles and only used the car once. The owners were very gracious and called twice (from England) to see if we needed more information. We used the grill a couple of times and access to a fully equiped kitchen was appreciated. The binder on things to do in Key West came in handy too. We liked VRBO so much we listed our property in Lewes, De, and it's fully rented this summer! It worked much better for us than a realtor.

Holiday Dance - not your average Truman Condo!

My first experience renting a week at Holiday Dance was effortless - the owners really care about the property and their guest's experience - maybe that's why the place is in such great shape! There are plenty of little extras besides all the normal things you expect, such as beach chairs, foam noodles to float around the pool in, beach towels, two types of BBQ's on the deck, etc. I found the experience so effortless that I rented again this year - and with any luck I'll be back again. Truman Annex is a great location in general, with Zachary Taylor behind you and Duval just two blocks away (you don't want to be too close!) there's no need to use a car. Take the owner's advice - rent a bike - it's the best way to see Key West. I could go on and on! These are good people, they're easy to work with and care about their property and your experience - that's why I keep coming back!

The Holiday Dance was a wonderful place to stay for my husband and I. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything! The condo is clean and had everything we needed! Ali is wonderful to work with and extremely kind! Thanks for a great week, hope to come back again next year!

The condo has everything you could hope for. A very comfortable space fully equipped and well cared for. The location couldn't be better; you can walk to town and also to Fort Zachary Taylor beach. With a bike you can tour the whole island. The owners are super nice and very easy to deal with. I was also able to bring my dog which made the trip even better. All in all the whole rental experience was stress-free and smooth going. What more could you want from a trip to beautiful Key West. I would recommend this condo to anyone lucky enough to be planning a trip to the Keys. We'll be back!

We stayed for a week here in January, it was a perfect place for us for a working vacation. It was colder this year than in past years but we enjoy Key West any time, it has so much to offer. This unit has everything that you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The owner had sent us some very good information, directions, where to park, find the key, things to do in Key West, places to go, etc. They sent us a list of items that they keep in the unit so we knew ahead of time not to over-pack, they had so much there for our use. When we checked in on Saturday afternoon after a very long day of travel, we were so happy to find a quiet, very clean unit to welcome us. The decor is bright and cheerful, the furnishings are a good quality and comfortable, this has all the amenities of a home away from home plus internet connection. As this is an end unit, we found it to be quiet and private, perfect for relaxing on the back patio... whether we were having our breakfast and reading the morning paper or sipping a cocktail in the evening, this was a favorite place to spend time. We highly recommend this unit and we hope to spend many more vacations here, also.
