This is a great cottage. We stayed there for two weeks. It had everything we needed, bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs etc to a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfy and clean as well as the whole cottage. The plumeria tree outside was blooming and smelled so good. The location was great very close to everything on the north shore and lots of great beaches to swim. We took long walks almost every evening on the beach across the street and saw turtles there daily. Loved riding the bikes in the morning and exploring. I would highly recomend the Haleiwa Market on Sunday. Thank you Ryan, Casey and Lex ( loved Lex) for your cottage. We hope we can come back soon.
Owner response:Thanks so much! I'm pretty sure Lex LOVED you too. We hope to see you again when you island hop from the Big Island, whether or not you stay with us!

Can't really put our vacation stay @ Plumeria Cottage in words, you have to experience it for yourself. My wife and I were looking for a relaxing stay, in a quiet residential neighborhood, in a clean comfortable cottage, with a view of Waialua Bay, with all the privacy we needed, but with knowledgeable locals ( thanks Ryan & Casey! ) close by if needed to suggest things to do when relaxing brought us too close to comatose. We got all that and more. Exotic bird chatter at daylight, sweet smell of Plumeria blossoms, soft surf sounds at night, great bike path to cruise the cruiser bikes on, and way more places to eat close by than there are meals in a day. Making Waialua Coffee Gallery coffee in the neat little kitchen, always started out another, then another wonderful morning. We'll certainly be back again for another round of the same! Owner response:Glad the cottage provided the respite for you two! You'll have to keep us posted on your Waialua Soda distribution project! We hope to see you again.

One of my favorite places to stay ever. I love the location, convenient to Haleiwa and Waialua, yet away from the traffic and crowds of the North Shore's more famous spots The cottage is bright and clean and comfortable. Mornings and evenings on the porch are especially nice. Bikes are provided, and I love riding to the beach at Mokuleia - makes me feel like a local! Finally, Ryan and Glynnis are wonderful hosts. I look forward to returning again and again.
Owner response:Thanks Carl! We always look forward to your return visits. We'll get the bikes tuned up just for you!

The listing description and photos were accurate and informative. The property was clean and well maintained, The owners were very nice and helpful answering questions. The house was well equipped with plenty of room to put your own stuff in both the kitchen and bedrooms. The bikes were great to have also. The beach is just across the street and is good for swimming. The nearby beaches for swimming and snorkeling are also excellent. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki I would highly recommend this cottage. However, if you want to see the sights you will definitely need a car.

Our time at Plumeria Cottage (January 2011) was exactly what we were hoping for. The cottage is very cozy, inviting, quiet and comfortable. The owners are a very pleasant and welcoming couple. The ocean is a short walk away. It was lovely to be able to view the North Shore from the cottage and front porch. Haleiwa is close enough to ride bikes to, which are also provided. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the North Shore beaches, knowing at the end of the day we could go back "home" and grill something on the outdoor barbeque and relax. One night we went into town and enjoyed a fantastic seafood dinner at Haleiwa Joe's. Plumeria Cottage exceeded our expectations and we definitely plan to return.

We've loved staying at the Plumeria Cottage 5 (or is it 6?) times and wouldn't consider any other place! This is authentic Hawaii - far away from the condos & crowds to the North Shore where you can recharge your body and soul. Our day starts with coffee on the lanai and then a loooooong walk along the forever beach just across the street. Seeing a honu resting in the sand never ceases to amaze me! We have found that we never even need to leave the North Shore. We enjoy riding the bikes into Hali'ewa Town or to the local farmer's markets. Highlights for us include SUP/surfing the many beaches and parks, hiking North Shore best-kept-secret places (ask Ryan) and yoga with Colette at the nearby co-op - oh, then there's dinner at Turtle Bay's Ola or coffee at the Coffee Gallery! Ryan & Casey have everything you might possibly need - including the best books for exploring the island on your own. After a full day, the Plumeria Cottage offers respite Hawaiian style: welcoming and absolutely comfortable. We are so appreciative that we have a "home" to come back to, time after time and would highly recommend staying here to anyone needing an escape. Mahalo, Ryan & Casey, for offering your hale for us to enjoy. A favorite image I have is leaving the airport and reality behind as we head north on the 2-lane "highway", past open fields to the vastness of the North Shore and the island retreat of the Plumeria Cottage. Our family had such a wonderful stay at the Plumeria Cottage! My husband and I, along with our two daughters (both under the age of 3) had a great vacation mainly because of what we were able to experience based on where we stayed. The house was very kid friendly and even had a high chair and pack n' play. Being able to access the beach so easily was such a bonus with the little ones. It was easy to go back and forth through out the day, and the sand toys provided made for some fun times. Our vacation felt like a true Hawaiian experience, up on the North Shore. We plan on coming back and will always stay at the Plumeria Cottage versus a high rise, packed beach you find in Honolulu. Thank you for providing us such a memorable vacation!

Our stay in the Plumeria Cottage was wonderful. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. I believe I had the best sleep I've had in years! The beds are awesome! We stayed for two weeks and felt totally comfortable and at home! The location is perfect to have a "real island" experience as opposed to the touristy experience. The owners are wonderful and very respectful of the renters privacy. The description of the cottage is accurate and the photos do not do justice to the actual atomsphere of staying there. We were able to do everything we wanted to do. The north shore of the island of Oahu is such a beautiful place, and the cottage is the perfect get-away for anyone!

When I have the opportunity to visit Oahu, the Plumeria Cottage is the only place I would dream of staying! It is very clean and comfortable. The home is light and tranquil feeling. The beautiful patio and front lawn are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner outdoors. The yard is lovely and nicely shaded. The beach is within walking distance- across the street! Haliewa is within biking distance as well. The cottage is homey and welcoming- the perfect place to get away to explore, relax, and enjoy! I HIGHLY recommend this venue to my friends and family!

Whenever I visit Oahu, I love to stay at the Plumeria Cottage in Waialua! The house is cozy but spacious and has all the amenities for a weekend or week-long visit...laundry, dishwasher, plus all the fun toys: beach cruisers, snorkels, etc. Thanks for making our inter-island getaways so relaxing! And we loved the cookies in the welcome basket too! Sincerely, Sam & Susan Marshall
