My husband, two boys and I LOVED this cottage! It was very easy to find, clean, quiet, and views were amazing. The owners couldn't have been nicer. Not only was the cottage stocked with all the little things, they even provded us with extra's like a air mattress and batteries. We spent the days at the beach and nights in the hot tub followed by family movies. Loved the full kitchen and washer and dryer. We have told all of our friends and family and will hope to be back soon. Thanks so much for a great family trip.

Cute Cottage Interior, Disappointing Ambiance

We stayed here for 2 nights on a little trip down the coast of Oregon. When we pulled into the driveway we immediately felt that the listing was misrepresented. What you don't see in the picture of the front of the cottage is that it's sitting right on the side of a large driveway/parking lot, and attached to a 3 car garage. Also, not mentioned, the owners live in the upstairs of their larger rental...right next to the "cottage". Inside the cottage was very nice. It's clean and welcoming, the kitchen is well equipped and the owners have added a lot of nice touches. The lack of privacy, non-working WI-FI, and overall misrepresentation make it overpriced. When we booked our stay, this listing said that there was a sandy beach, lots of privacy and a garage availble for use. None of these things were true, and it seems that they have been removed from the listing. As previosly mentioned, the front door of the cottage leads to a parking lot, at one point a car was parked directly outside the front window. There is access to the garage through a door in the kitchen, but there was not a space to park our car. Also, the owner was in and out of the garage during our stay, repeatedly passing in front of our window. We didn't feel like there was really any privacy at all, especially since after greeting us the owner said he would collect payment "later" during our stay, leaving us wondering when he might decide to knock on the door again. The beach is right off the property, and it has a lot of tidepools, but it is not a sandy beach at all. My recommendation: skip this rental and this town. You'll get much more privacy staying in a motel.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. We made maximum use of the space with two adults, a toddler and an infant, as well as two dogs. Very clean and well-stocked with lovely owners and at a very reasonable price! Relaxing in the hot tub with ocean view and tidepooling at the beach just steps away were the highlights of our trip.

We enjoyed our stay and the kids were in heaven. Beach access was great and the hot tub was nice. We want to start a new family tradition for Thanksgiving. What a wonderful and relaxing time we had on this cozy little hideaway in Brookings. The cottage is so clean and cozy and everthing is provided that you could possibly need. A short walk to the beach and also a close proximity to everything Brookings has to offer. We want to share our experience with all our family and friends and hope they will come and experience it for themselves.

We have never felt at home as we did in this wonderful little cottage. Your hospitality was amazing. Thank you so much for thinking of everything and checking with us to make sure that all was well and giving us extra towels etc. Brookings is our favorite place on the coast. We really enjoyed a relaxing soak in the hot tub after a day at the beach and hiking the trails. Thank you for all you've done here - sharing your paradise - but not just sharing, really going so above and beyond to make it like a home to your visitors. We'll definitely recommend it to our friends and family and we will be back to enjoy again.

We were very surprised at the vacation rental upon arrival. It was extremely clean and far much nicer than the internet pictures showed. We have been here a month. Ken & Jean have really gone out of their way to make our stay one of the best vacations we have had. We have NEVER been treated better than our stay here and have already made reservations for next year. The fishing was also great.
