My husband and I took our 4 children and their spouses to Casa de la Torre for 6 nights. It was a vacation of making wonderful memories. The casa is wonderful, Chela is a dear and makes the stay all the better. Ten people had plenty of room during the day, but the sleeping was a little tight as 3 of the beds are doubles. The master bedroom is very comfortable and we enjoyed the view and quiet time there. As many reviews said the pictures do not do it justice, it is so much more than what they show. I have never stayed where such attention is paid to detail, absolutely gorgeous!! The location is perfect as we were able to walk everywhere and felt very safe at all times. We hope to return next year. Thanks to Tere and Chela for making it a perfect stay.

My family and I spent a week at Casa de la Torre from 2/4-2/11/12. I can honestly say it was the nicest home I have every stayed in. It was unbelievably gorgeous. The best features of this home are that it provides an oasis to the travel but it is situated right in the heart of old town PV. Most other villas of this caliber in PV are far off on the hills of Conchas Chinas. This gorgeous casa is literally three blocks from the beach, right next door to the most amazing restaurant in Mexico (Cafe des Artistes) and a stones throw from many art galleries, shops, and restaurants. The staff at the casa is phenomenal. Martin is a true gentleman, who makes a fantastic margarita. Chela is a gem who is kind, helpful and lovely to have around. We enjoyed our stay so much, in fact, that I have reserved again for next year. Thanks so much. I could not have asked for anything more. Mana Amir, MD Denver, Colorado

We spent an unforgettable week and New Year's Eve here between 26/12/2011-02/01/2012 with two kids age of 6 and 11. The house , the furnitures and every single piece of art is wonderfully designed in pure Maxican style and so comfortable, the view is amazing , everything is close: restaurants, shops, beach. The staff: Martin and Chela are fantastic- helpful and friendly, Chela has made "welcome" guacamole, salsa and margarita for us. Our holiday was really like a dream -and you never want to wake up! you can watch the whales, swim with the dolphins and sea-lions, but if you just want to take a rest, you cannot find a better place for that. And the kids enjoyed to be here at least as much as me and my husband! We had only one problem : we didn't want to leave Casa De La Torre and Puerto Vallarta!!!!

Even from the street you can tell that through the door is a different way of living life than what was left (temporarily) behind. Chela and Martin then welcomed us into an amazing garden, spacious living area, and welcoming private spaces. The casa was kept very clean, especially considering it was the start of rainy season, and the pool was perfect. So many spaces could be private, even when sharing with another couple. The city did a good job with the new sidewalks and stairs outside. Wish we could make it down for the Pan American Games.

We just returned from our second trip to the castle in 5 months. Once again the place continues to amaze and I am sad to leave. I was welcomed by Chela and Martin, and I felt like they recognized my husband and I. We took our entire extended family with 9 people and there was plenty of room to move around and escape to privacy if needed. As usual the owner is and was, extremely easy to deal with and very accommodating. I will never stay in another place when I go to Puerto Vallarta. My only wish is that the same owner had a similar property in my other favorite cities in Mexico. I rent regularly and travel often and having an owner that appreciates your business and does everything to make you feel welcome is so refreshing. Once again CASA DE LA TORRE you have outdone yourself and our family is eternally grateful...

From the moment we got there, it was like stepping into a fantasy world. The pictures don't do it justice, everything is just immaculate. The location is beyond perfect, everything was within walking distance. It was so easy and wonderful to work with the owners, they made sure we had all the information we needed to have the perfect stay. The margaritas, salsa, and guacamole upon arrival was perfect. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this castle, it was truely a dream to have been able to stay there even for only a couple days. I will definitely go back for family trips!!!

WOW. I just got back from a 3-night weekend stay at the Casa with my 9 best friends for my bachelorette-we almost couldn't leave! We walked through the gates and literally started squealing like little girls-pictures don't even start to do this home justice. If you have any doubts about staying here, forget about them. Ten of us stayed here (more than) comfortably, and we thought it was a great deal. When we arrived there was fresh chips, salsa & guac, and margaritas already ready for us-so awesome after traveling for the afternoon! Amazingly this paradise is also in the middle of everything! Quiet but within a 5-min walk of everything you could want! Bars, restaurants, art galleries, shopping! Views are amazing, the house is impeccably decorated & the landscaping is decadent. I cannot say enough great things! Above all of this, the staff at the home was sweet & helpful, while the owner, Mark is extremely helpful and beyond generous. Everything was perfection. STAY HERE!

I began and ended my three-month Mexico sojourn at the Casa de la Torre. My trip began with an incredible entrance and it deserved a fine finish. I was spoiled the first week of my trip and wanted to exit Mexico filled with fresh memories of the Casa de la Torre so I returned! It was the finest place I’d stayed in. Like a great wine, the casa is luscious, distinct and intensely beautiful. I was alone this time and although the house is better suited for groups, I felt comfortable in my relaxing solitude. I loved just resting and getting my thoughts together by the pool. It was hard to believe that the endless charms of Puerto Vallarta were just on the other side of the stone courtyard wall. It was like a secret garden. I love convenience I admit and liked the fact that anything and everything was just a threshold away. Photographs do not express the grandeur of the Casa. You can’t take a picture of a feeling. I can only tell you that the Casa de la Torre is delightful, stunning and extraordinary.

We had a mother/daughter Spring Break trip to the Casa and it could not have been more delightful. Pictures really do not do it justice as it is exquisite in style and comfort. We loved that the town was right at our fingertips and yet, behind that 'Old World' door, the noise, dust and humanity seemed remote!!! Martine kept the garden looking lush and amazing and Chela was a delight. We were made to feel at home and always welcomed our return to the Casa each time we left for an outing. As it was Spring Break the only small negative was that the discos were going strong and the very top floor was a bit noisy at night. All the other rooms, were not a problem. I would highly recommend this to everyone as it was so very beautiful and the location was perfect.

We have vacationed in Puerto Vallarta five times previously, but our recent stay at Casa de la Torre easily surpasses all our prior experiences. Imagine being surrounded by everything you love about Mexico, the arts, the culture, the food, the colors, the beach, and savor all of it from your own beautiful oasis, tucked away in the center of town. The six of us (2 couples and 2 singles) had plenty of room and privacy, each with our own unique spaces to enjoy. Chela and Martin, who works in the Villa, greeted us with homemade guacamole and margarita and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Although we try not to think about work, it was a bonus to have easily accessible Wi-Fi all set up to use in a very comfortable setting. My favorite...the master bedroom shower!!! You have to see it to believe it. I felt like an ancient Greek goddess bathing in luxury! Thumbs way up does not even begin to describe this magnificent villa. You just have to check it out for yourselves. We know we would love to again!

Imagine my surprise when I first entered Casa De La Torre to find a sprawling open air home right in the heart of the city, yet tucked away behind the "fortress" wall. We found a haven to relax and imbibe in. Casa de la Torre is not just a place to stay but is filled with all the comforts of home - and an American home at that - full sprawling kitchen, comfortable marble tiled baths all decorated with local but impeccable antiques and artwork that emphasize its grandeur. Located very near Café des Artists and around the corner from Mr. Taco, the best taco joint ever, you can’t beat the location. You can walk to the center, down to the water and beach and over to the Malecon. You will be planning your next stay before you leave for home.

My first visit to Puerta Vallarta and I never wanted to leave Casa de la Torre. This home is beyond beautiful in every detail, from the luscious plantings, the elegant but comfortable furnishings, to the luxurious bedrooms plus we had all the modern trappings from home -- WiFi and TV (which we never used) but it is available. Coffee and fruit every morning and margaritas and guacomole every afternoon provided by Chela and Martin. The home is centrally located in town so we were able to walk to restaurants, beaches and shopping. I highly recommend walking up the hills behind Casa de la Torre to view the town and ocean from a bird's eye view.

This rental property is truly a gift -- a treasure of a home that I felt honored to call my home for five days. Puerto Vallarta is a vibrant vacation destination with so many things to do. When I entered Casa de la Torre I felt tempted to just stay within its confines to enjoy everything it has to offer. The artwork, the fine furnishings, the linens, the landscaping, the fountains, the stained glass, the tilework, the views -- it was all magnificent. We did venture out and enjoy the city, but we truly did not need to in order to have a great vacation. I highly recommend Casa de la Torre without any reservation. You will not be disappointed!

This home is one of the most beautiful I have seen in my extensive travels throughout the world. It is exquisite in every detail from the 6 different views of the bay to the original use of woods, stone and brick throughout. The artwork and furnishings complement the architectural design perfectly. It was an unbelievable experience. The best restaurants and the best galleries are within walking distance as is the bay with its Malecon, the center of city life. It is a very welcome contrast to the all-inclusive resorts that isolate the traveler. The grounds surrounding the terraces and pool are immaculately maintained. Not a dead leaf on the hundreds of plants that frame the stonework and arches. Our stay at this home was transcendant...Colors, textures, lines and shadows of great beauty. You can step out of the home into a vibrant city or live in absolute tranquility within its grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The photos on the website do not do la Casa justice. I would recommend the house with a tower to anyone who looks for to a unique experience in his travels.

Every gal can be a princess at Casa de la Torre. I wanted to purchase a full length satin ball gown to glide down the elegant stairways. I loved the solid feeling of a home made of stone combined with the open breezeways. The furnishings and art work are so amazing they make you feel like you are in a museum but get to touch everything! Every day I noticed something new in the house. My sister-in-law and I made cappuccinos every morning and had them by the pool. The staff was extremely helpful with our travel needs and accommodated our every whim. We felt so safe in our private castle just a doorway away from the city and a few blocks from the malecon. The tower is fabulous and we could see all of the city. It is truly a unique place. We will go back and be princesses again.

The most amazing place that I have ever stayed... my sister-in-law and I arrived in the afternoon on December 2nd walked through the door of Casa De La Torre found ourselves surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, rock walls, and the tranquil sound of waterfalls. Our hosts met us at the door carried our bags and escorted us to the luxurious kitchen where margaritas, guacamole and chips were waiting. The house is grand, beautifully decorated, emmaculate and very well cared for. The spectacular views looking out at the ocean lend hours of complete relaxation. The location could not be any better as you are right in the downtown area, in the center of everything! and yet the minute you step back into Casa De La Torre you find yourself in the lush serene environment that one seeks while on vacation. I would reccomend Casa De La Torre to everyone, I would love nothing more than to stay there again!!!

When you enter the gates of Casa de la Torre, your Mexican experience begins. The views are fabulous. Each room has a charm of its own and the paintings and furnishings add to its beauty. You can stay in and enjoy a relaxing meal, or venture out to see the sights, go to the beach, or enjoy one of the many restaurants. It was truly a vacation to remember and a villa you could visit many times and always find new adventures.

This is our second time staying at "Casa De La Torre" and we would go back time and time again. The house itself is fascinating and enchanting in every way. If you never left it you would leave feeling relaxed and rejuvinated. That said, it would be hard to resist walking out your front door and feeling like your living in a real Mexican town. Wandering the streets, checking out the galleries and eating our way around, felt like days well spent. At the end of each day our son would say "can we go back to the castle now?" and off we would go. Always discovering something new on the way. An experience that should not be missed!!!!!!

Only a few blocks from the beach, shopping & the best restaurants around, this is the perfect place to spend a vacation.

The villa itself is unlike anything I've ever seen, it is beautiful, airy, spacious and authentic in every detail. Chela and Martin were gracious hosts, they greeted us with spotless accommodations, amazing foliage in the courtyard, and hosted margarita time and espresso time every day. I wanted to take them home with me! I also brought my daughter, who was one and a half at the time. She played for hours in the fountains, pool and master bath. We walked every day to the beach, shopping and restaurants, we felt like we had a relaxing castle haven to retire to when we were tired from a full day of exploring the authentic mexican culture which is right outside the front door. I've been to Mexico before, but never experienced it quite like this. I can't wait to visit again :-)

Mark & Eszter, your Casa De La Torre is absolutely incredible!! My two visits, once with family and then with friends were like being in Mexican heaven. The villa itself is really beautiful, spacious and well furnished. Every guest bedroom with its own private bath and breathtaking views of the city and Banderas Bay, WOW. When we did stay in to eat, could not decide where. The lovely dining room? The shaded living room patio? The sunny pool deck patio? So many choices, so few days. Your location could not be any better for anyone wanting to experience pure Mexico. We walked among the locals to El Malecon, to Los Muertos Beach, through the fine shops in Zona Romantica, and to the dozens of restaurants right in the neighborhood. Chela greeted us with marguerites, great guacamole and snacks to set the tone for our relaxing stay on each occasion. Then she proceeded to cater to our every need and kept the place spotless as well. Everything about your villa and the housekeeping staff was simply perfect. Well done Mark & Eszter.
