This was our first time renting a cabin and we highly recommend it! Everything is provided except groceries and the store is only two blocks away! Great location--near the Folk Art Center. Also highly recommend Tupelo Honey Cafe, Posana Cafe and the Laughing Seed.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We recently stayed at the Robin's Nest for a weekend getaway and it exceeded all of our expectations. The location was great, the cabin was beautifully renovated, and the amenities were excellent. They also went above and beyond with extras like the fresh ground coffee, nice linens, and an information notebook. We will definitely be staying there again, hopefully for a longer visit next time! Thanks for a great weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin is cute and has lots of character. It has been lovingly restored with modern touches. Even though we travel with our own special coffee, the coffee beans were something we have never seen before in a rental--nice touch. We looked at hotel choices in the area and decided this looked interesting. JACKPOT!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was extremely clean and looked just like the pictures on the Internet. Also, very child friendly for our 11 month old, so we couldn't have been happier!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We stayed there for 5 days and four nights with an 11 month old and had a great time. The place is very clean. Did not have to baby proof much. The community was nice and quite. Did not take more than 10-15 min to get to anywhere we wanted to go. Downtown is really easy to get to only took 10 minutes if that. The Blue Ridge Pkwy is less than 5 min away. There was a grocery around the corner and yet it still seemed secluded and quite. I highly recommend this place and we will try to go back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Everything was wonderful-all the comforts of home! Peaceful, immaculate, warm atmosphere, very comfortable, snuggly bed, convenient location. Not only will we return again and again but we will also highly recommend to family and friends. Mary is wonderful and makes sure you have everything you need. Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: After moving to Asheville in 2002, I knew that these gorgeous mountains would hold me forever. I discovered an interest and talent in home renovations and after restoring several cabins, I left the profession of physical therapy and now focus full-time on managing our log cabin rental business. My other favorite pastimes are gardening, hiking and paddling my kayak on some of our beautiful lakes in the area.
Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
While visiting a friend in Asheville, I happened upon this unique little neighborhood of vintage log cabins that was built as a resort in the 30's. I fell in love with the quaintness of the cabins and the quiet streets lined with huge, beautiful oak trees. It had a real mountain area 'feel', yet was located right in the midst of Asheville. When the Robin's Nest became available, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase and totally renovate it.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The Robin's Nest is an adorable vintage log cabin that has ALL of the modern amenities. It is located close to downtown, the Biltmore Estate the Blue Ridge Parkway, yet has a distinctive 'mountain home' feeling that you can escape to after a day of site-seeing. You can enjoy a glass of wine while sitting in the porch swing on the covered front porch in the midst of a historic, quiet little neighborhood. Smiles are guaranteed!
