Our townhome is located at the Eagle Crest resort, at the heart of Central Oregon, just five miles west of Redmond, nestled between the majestic Cascades to the west and beautiful Smith Rock to the east, a short drive to Bend.
This townhome features three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Relax in the spacious living room after a day of skiing, hiking or shopping in Bend! This two-story townhome features the master suite on the main floor and fully stocked kitchen for family meals or just late night snacks!

Directly out your front door are 15 miles of hiking and biking trails that amble throughout the resort. We brought our three families together for our annual vacation (6 adults, 4 pre-teen and a toddler). The home worked well for us, although we had to scatter the kids around a bit for sleeping. The pros: very near the pool (which has a spray pool) and right on a little creek that the kids loved. The living area was comfortable and well kept, except for a couple of minor items that we found damaged on arrival (a broken lamp base and a couch-back on the upstairs landing). The A/V equipment all worked well. It has a wonderful deck, and barbecue--sat out there and talked a lot and watched the stars.The home is close to other local parks and recreational opportunities including Sisters. The resort staff was amazingly friendly and helpful.Top-flight staff everywhere--reminded me of Disneyland. And, lots of beautiful yellow butterflies! Cons: There is only one entrance. That means if you or the kids want to access the bike path and the creek out back, you have to walk around the building; otherwise you'd have to climb over the deck railing.The other con had to do with cycling. No real places to park bikes, and the home is uphill from everywhere, meaning if you go bike riding, there is a killer hill in order to get back--great for athletes in training, not so much for young children. We wouldn't bring our bikes if we came back. The rental came with only 6 passes to the recreational facilities, meaning that there were days we had to buy four day passes ($7.00 each) for us all to use the pool at the same time. The amenities of the resort are at the east end of the property, which makes it quite a drive there. For groceries and such we went to Rays in Redmond--about 13 minutes one way on the main highway.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
