Alamos,(only 7 driving hours on 4 lane highways into Mexico) located at the foothills of the Sierra Madres Mountains where the Sonoran Desert intersects with the Sinaloa Rain Forest provides the ultimate enchanting ambiance; with its cobblestone streets, tranquility, an artists dream and so much more. This unique property consists of 4 separate buildings within a terraced, walled compound. One casita has 2 bedrooms (one king and the other a queen bed) with private bathrooms, one casita has two bedrooms (kind bed with a murphy bed in sala) which share a bathroom plus a loft. The third casita is a small bedroom (queen bed) with bath. The fourth building contains the kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace. All the bedrooms have a fireplace.
Nestled on a lomita (small hill) with a gentle breeze always blowing, one sees the vista of the Katarambas and is struck by the magnificence of the this special "Pueblo Magica". Constructed from raw ladrilla; this property has been completed renovated and updated to provide you with all modern amenities. From the moment you enter through the arched wooden double doors, you'll be greeted by the sweetest English speaking receptionist you'd ever want to meet. Enjoy 12-16 foot ceilings, saultillo tile, Mexican ceramic tile, unique furnishings and artwork, terraces, portales and lush courtyards with a lap pool (just a really big bath tub).
Eat in the communal kitchen/dining room, then retire to your very own casita for privacy. Enjoy reading on the portales or walking the historic streets of Alamos.
Only a little over an hour from the Sea of Cortez and the famous Copper Canyon. Alamos is a favorite location for bird watching.
