We just returned from a 6 night stay at this chalet and we had a great time. It was better than I expected, very pretty and cozy. The house is very roomy with 5 bedrooms, fireplace, 2 balconies and wonderful views. It's in a fabulous location in Eidelweiss village, close to shopping and popular ski resorts. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a great time at this very room chalet. As advertised it accomodated our rather large group of 4 adults and 6 kids. There is a large family room and two bedrooms on the first floor which was a great space to stash the kids, they felt like they owned the place! The main floor has a nice working woodburning fireplace. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, perched on a hill with nice views and it is dark at night. The kids loved roaming around outside with flashlights and felt like they were on quite an adventure. The house is a few years old but we found it tidy, clean and nicely decorated, especially for the price. The only animals we saw or heard was the large Owl perched somewhere outside the house. Our only contact with the owners was to call and ask where the TV clicker was hidden and she was quite nice about the fact that it was in a little wicker basket in the living room! We hope to make it back to this area in ski season and would definitely rent this spacious and cozy house again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My family and I, along with another family, rented the chalet for a week of skiing. Unfortunately, we spent our first night up there cleaning. The bathrooms had not been really cleaned in a long time. There was a puddle of sticky 'stuff' on the floor by the refrigerator, and the whole place needed a good dusting and vacuuming. Plus, as the previous renter noted, there was a large and very active rodent running around keeping us up at night. That said, the place is adorable. I love the lay out including the balconies and the wonderful view. It's just the kind of ski chalet I'd like to own someday. It was just disappointing that, after looking forward to this vacation for months, we were all a little depressed about the grime. I did call the owner and he contacted me a couple of days later, but no cleaning service or exterminator was sent out to take care of the issues.Did you find this review helpful? I brought my girlfriend seeking a romantic celebration of her birthday but as soon as we walked into the place, I knew I was in for a disappointment. We arrived to the cabin after a long drive from Rhode Island to find a dark and creepy cabin. It would have been nice if they would have left lights on for us so we could see while getting inside. After finding light we were greeted with the noises of a critter/varmet of some sort that was running around inside of the walls and inside of the drop down ceiling in the kitchen. This is what I would say that struck a devastating blow to my plans of surprising my girlfriend with a romantic getaway. She was freaked out by hearing the rodent run around in the walls and I can't say I was happy myself. I tried calling the owner about this but couldn't get through so I left a voicemail. Note that I wasn't called back until the morning I left! Clealiness was another disappointing factor. The bathroom and kitchen floors had a film of dirt on them and he carpet up the stairs was ridden with animal hair. The upstairs bed that had the nice view is dilapidated and squeaks badly, not to mention that it's held up in one corner with a piece of firewood. The one plus I can think of is that it had a nice view of the mountains.Owner response: Dear Guest, We are saddened to hear that your stay with us was not to your liking. Your comments can only help us provide better service to others in the future. We are an older couple that's rents out their house to help supplement the bills when we are not using it. Having said that, I would like to address the issues you raised. As you said you arrived late and it was dark. I looked back at my email to you and I realized that I should have told you to keep you headlights on when opening the door. Yes it is dark. In the past we hard a motion sensor light but because of the wind and the trees, it kept burning out. Because of your comment, I will make sure I mention it to future guests. You mentioned a film on the kitchen floor and hair on the stairs. I really appreciate your comments on this. We just began using a new cleaning person ( unfortunately our former one moved) it is clear she didn't do a great job. I went to the house and inspected and you were correct. I apologize for that but because of you we now have a new person and she is doing a great job. That creepy old bed you mentioned is the first bed my lovely bride and I slept in when first married. The noise it makes only brings back fond memories for us but I do agree its probably time to get a new one. So if you ever decide to give us another chance you will find a newer Queen size bed that makes no noise. I guess it was like a nice pair of slippers to me. Old habits are hard to stop but you were correct to bring it to my attention. My one disagreement is that it is not a dark creepy cabin. I think you were taking an unnecessary shot at us. It is a warm and homey chalet and I have received many nice comments about it . I truly hope you give us another chance. At least you liked the view. All the best. The owners

My wife and I and two other couples rented this chalet for the weekend. The foliage was awesome. The ladies shopped at all the outlets while we sat back and watched the Pat's game on a huge big screen Sony tv. Its location is central to everything. The house and bedrooms were very spacious. I especially liked not having to be out early on Sunday. The owner said relax and enjoy the game and leave at your leisure. We will definetely be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks Nick. We are glad you all had a nice stay. We have a friendly arrival and leave time because I always disliked having to be out of a place first thing in the morning. I think it ruins the relaxing feeling to have to hurry and leave. We want guests to not feel rushed. Oh and what a game huh. I just hope Belichich doesn't go for it on fourth and one again. Again thanks Nick.

My family and I recently stayed at this house and we had a wonderful time. It is nestled in the woods up a mountain. The description of the house was spot on. It has five roomy bedrooms and two family rooms. It was evident that the house is well maintained. They charge a small cleaning fee and it was clear that they use it for that purpose. All linens were clean. The house had that just cleaned smell. The Kangamangus highway is five minutes away. Three lakes are just down the road and Storyland is a short ride away. North Conway is ten minutes away where there are two supermarkets and many restaurants and many outlets. I would not hesitate to recommned this property. The rates are very reasonable and the owners were easy to deal with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

The property is beautiful. the house is very spacious and well kept. It is in a great location near shopping centers and national attractions. My family had a wonderful experience. N Conway is very close as well as the Saco River. There was just so much near by and not enough time to enjoy it all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
