We spent 2 nights there with friends, 3 couples in all. Accommodations were very comfortable and everything as advertised. The owner was cooperative and pleasant - a wonderful place for a retreat, not far from restaurants and activities, but quiet and peaceful. Would recommend this property.

Great Property, Great Vacation

My wife and I needed a vacation very badly this past year, and this property in the Galena Territory was everything we needed and more. To begin, the location was perfect. Wonderful hillside views from the deck and property, we could even see the hot hair balloon rides in the evening. A very short drive into downtown Galena for shopping, plus the location was close to the owners club and many of Galena's territory trails that my wife and I used everyday. Secondly, the house was exactly as advertised. We used all the amenities the house had to offer and everything worked well. Personally I would recommended this property for anyone with a small to medium sized party because the house is set up in a way where it will be very comfortable with 2 guests or up to 6. The deck was perfect and used almost every night for relaxing. The only small issue that came up in regard to the property was across the lawn, there was a large group of college students that had rented out the house across the way and they partied all day and all night. Thankfully they left after the first night and once they left it was really quiet and relaxing. Again that has nothing to do with the property, just a small inconvenience in our personal vacation. Thirdly and finally, the owners were fantastic, very accommodating and returned emails very promptly and politely. I would definitely stay here again, and I bet in the fall, with the leaves changing the views are that much more amazing.

Our Gal Pal Getaway

This was the perfect house for 6 old friends to share for a 50th birthday celebration. Not far from downtown Galena. Everything we needed was provided. We could have used a snow shovel though, as the snow was blowing quite a bit. There was no wood inside for a fire, but we found plenty along the back of the house. We did run out of trash bags, but replaced them with a new box. Our gift to the owners :) In the summer would be awesome because it has a very nice deck and gas grill out there. Enjoy!

Owner response: We will make sure there is a new shovel for the front path. It is maintained by a service but the property is very open and paths are sometimes hard to keep clear in the winter. We will work on keeping that woodbin full and I thank you for the trash bags! We appreciate your input and are glad you enjoyed your stay.

We REALLY enjoyed our 4 day family getaway at this vacation home situated in beautiful Eagle Ridge. We echo the July reviewer's comments. The owners were great at communicating and the property description was accurate. We also enjoyed the member's club with the pool & game room, etc. We definitely stay again. Great Value ! Footnote: There is a new house being built next door, however, the construction crew would start after 8:30am.

Fantastic Getaway

This beautiful house located in the hills of the Galena Terrotories was such an amazing expierence. The house offered everything you need besides clothes and food. It was exceptionally clean and had a nice modern country feel. I would reccomened this house for anyone looking to get away for the weekend..
