This cottage is located on the Fort Morgan peninsula in the Rookery Development. Fort Morgan is a family area that has few condos with large areas of public beach access. The cottage is in a new development that creates a feeling of a past time with pastel wooden exteriors, tin roofs, pine floors, and wooden sidewalks. This cottage is a duplex with the shared cottage behind the unit.
The main pool is a beautiful area with an infant friendly endless side, which is very close to the unit. In addition, it is an outdoor heated pool that can be enjoyed almost year around. There is a tennis court and outdoor grilling area. You can walk to the public beach area, which is less than a mile. If you enjoy fishing, you will enjoy the Fort Morgan area. You can saltwater fish in the Gulf of Mexico or fish in the Mobile Bay, which has a boat launch area only a couple of miles from the cottage.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your lovely beach home. Your place reminded me of the way the beach use to be. Loved the hard wood floors and metal roof cottages. No it wasn't 5 star accomadations but we didnt expect at such reasonal rates. We will be back and highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Last Year's Vacation was a Bust!

My family and I rented this cottage last year. It was the most uncomfortable, and I must say, worst, vacation I've ever spent. The cottage was not decorated, although it did have a picture or two on the walls. The couch and chairs must have been bought in the '50's or before. They almost sank to the floor when set upon. The pillows were ALL flat as pancakes and the mattresses were thin and lumpy. We tried to stay out all day so we wouldn't have to come back to this place. It was a disaster and from the pictures, it doesn't look like anything has changed. I would NOT recommend this cottage to a dog!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/3
