An ideal winter base camp on the mountain for families who want to be in the heart of the action and snow on Mount Hood!
We try to be the most kid friendly place on the mountain...while making sure the adults in your group will love it too. Our home is full of fun for families both inside and outside with the heated pool, soaking pool, hot tub and sauna just 50 feet from our front door. This is the place to relax and enjoy the mountain and all it offers no matter what adventure, or simple relaxation you seek.

What to do first? Stroll through Government Camp, go sledding, hit the slopes, or simply take the kids for a swim, or enjoy a soak in one of the two hot tubs, and relax in the sauna. Or just cook up a great dinner in the cozy kitchen. Play a board game, stroll around Collins Lake, go for a hike, play electronic darts....or just enjoy the fireplace and a movie or magazine.
Enjoy the nearby skiing and snowboarding at Timberline, Skibowl or Mt. Hood Meadows. Snowshoeing is just steps out the front door and trails are all over the resort and in Government Camp, as well as just a short drive away in favorite areas like Trillium Lake. Cross country skiing is also a short drive away on groomed trails.
Everything you need is within walking distance. This is our "Home Away From Home:" you will find spices in the cupboard for cooking up your family meals, an entire bookshelf of kids books, movies to cozy up and watch with hot popcorn, and toys and sleds for the kids to enjoy while your here.

We stayed at the Chalet the first weekend in December. My kids had the best time playing with the toys, games, and books that are stocked in the house. I never had to worry about them getting into trouble because the house is perfectly kid friendly with tons to keep them busy. We had a great time playing in the snow, tubing, and swimming. Best place to stay with a family. Thank you for a great family vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Collins Lake Chalet, it such a nice condo, very comforatble and kid friendly, we loved the decor, and how easy the owners made it to enjoy our time here. I would recommend this condo highly for skiing and summer!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our home is a brand new vacation rental and the comments have been fantastic. Folks love our well equipped home, chock full of games, books, videos, sleds and everything for kids and adults to have a great time.
