  • heaven, heaven, heaven! Having been to PV several times prior to this visit, I took the recommendation of a friend to try the Penthouse at Vallarta Shores, right on Los Muertos Beach. Thank goodness I listened to her! This place is perfect. Just the right amount of charm mixed with incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, your own private pool, and Ruben the chef is the final detail that brings it all together! The sound of the ocean is perfect, day or night. The "hotel" is located towards the south end of Los Muertos right near the seahorse sculpture and the best part is the beach is not overcrowded with people or vendors, but you are within a short walk of all the action if that is what you desire. We chose to have a masseuse and a pedicurist come up to the penthouse the first day of our visit and it was the best thing we could have done! Massages on the balcony, listening to the ocean and feeling the cool ocean breeze- it was pure heaven! Then there's Ruben! What a wonderful cook and the sweetest host you could ever hope for. He took such good care of us! I will be using his recipes for years to come! Huevos Rancheros like none I've ever had! Gracias, Ruben!! From the moment we booked our stay, the staff at Vallarta Shores were helpful and receptive to our every need! They have a guest intake sheet where you get to ask for whatever you might want upon your arrival - and they made it happen! All I can say is, if you are going to Puerto Vallarta and want something more than a typical all-inclusive, this is the spot for you! Authentic, welcoming, relaxing and fabulous!
