We (5 scuba divers) spent a very memorable time from Sept 10-24 at Life's a Beach. The Privacy was outstanding - just outside of town. The accommodations were Perfect - all the modern features one would want. Particularly beneficial was the kitchen, giving us the option of eating in and cooking a nice meal, or going out on the town (Piccolo for Italian, Driftwood for a burger and killer Bloody Marys!). The house was very functional for cleaning our scuba gear, lazing around reading a book or watching a little American football (when you can't let go!). The memories we made at Life's a Beach will be Permanent - little hermit crabs, regular crabs (who grabbed a ride in our booties for some scuba), coconuts or strolls on the beach. Vicki, Jim and Leo were the best - there when we needed them which happened on a few occasions. Of all the places we've rented in the Caribbean, this was the cleanest, safest, and most well managed property. The book left with the house answered all our questions and gave us great ideas on where and what to explore on Utila. 3 Ps - perfect, privacy, permanent (memories)!

Vicki and Jim were a delight to work with....very friendly and helpful! They bent over backward to help us find our way to the island and make ourselves at home. The house is very modern and roomy. The views from the decks were stunning and star gazing from the roof top was beautiful. The house is well located in a very private setting. There's good snorkeling / diving just out front, too! Would be great for a family or romantic getaway!

MY family of five enjoyed this great home on this wonderful island. All the amenities you need are in this house. Location was a little a way from town which was nice but still very close to get suplies and eat out. Not much beach to speak of, but the whole island is that way. Sunrise and sunset where tremendous. The snorkling was good but you will need water shoes and the water area is mostly rockie. Jim and his wife the caretakers did a great job meeting our needs

What an incredible place. The house looked exactly like it did on-line, and was close enough to town to walk (although we had a golf cart). The house was well-furnished and clean we would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone! The reef was right in front of the house so we could snorkel and/or dive every day - local dive shops will even deliver your tanks and equipment to the house. We like to fix our own dinners and the kitchen was great to work in - another fabulous feature was having the washer and dryer on site. AND, BEST OF ALL, the front deck. It is a huge, covered front deck, and you have to be careful or you will fall asleep in the chairs out there (the white chair in the living room is also lethal for causing nap attacks). We can't say enough good things about the people who manage the house - they were AWESOME - everyone in town knows them and they were able to respond immediately to any questions. It was also invaluable to be able to call back to the States and to have internet access right at the house. Destination Utila took care of everything for us - picked us up at the airport, arranged for the golf cart, and provided invaluable information on the local stores and restaurants. We loved EVERYTHING (except, perhaps, the sand fleas) about this place, and highly recommend that other tourists check it out. We will certainly be going back - such a relaxing location!
