**IN TOWN: AWARD-WINNING LUXURY CABIN!!**
If you are looking for an elegant rustic cabin with spectacular views and a great location, look no further. Our mountain modern cabin is conveniently located on Fifth St. in the heart of Crested Butte. It is a half block from Elk Avenue (the historic main street with restaurants, bars, and shopping), just a block from the bus (offering access to lift-served mountain biking during the summer and skiing on the slopes at Crested Butte Mountain Resort--6 minutes away), and within three blocks of just about everything else you might need or want--Camp 4 Coffee, the library, groceries, ATM, movie theater, churches, Chamber of Commerce, Performing Arts Center.
Our home was recently gutted down to the rafters and four walls. Everything has been updated and built with energy efficiency in mind--from the in-floor radiant heat to insulation, chinking and new windows and doors. The remodeling project won an award from the '2008 Project of the Year' review by the Crested Butte Board of Zoning and Architectural Review!
From the minute you walk through the front door, you will feel welcome and at home with the open floor plan. The large beams and log walls tie the living, dining and kitchen spaces together, a place where friends and family can reconnect. Play cards or games in front of the stone fireplace, watch a movie on the large screen HDTV with Blu-Ray DVD player, or simply share stories after the day's adventures of biking, hiking or skiing.
The large open kitchen (with Electrolux and GE ICON stainless steel appliances) has cherry cabinets, granite countertops, and is perfect for conversation while cooking up family meals. With a big four-stool central island, everyone can join in the fun baking cookies or a pan of lasagna.
The first floor also has the Kid's Bunkroom, equipped with two single beds plus trundle. A 32' HDTV with DVD make for a great kids movie night venue (or bring along your XBOX and plug in for gaming fun). Around the corner is a half bath.
Upstairs, the open staircase leads you to the other three bedrooms, two full baths and the laundry closet with a stacked washer/dryer. Spectacular views of Mt. Crested Butte can be seen from the staircase windows and bedrooms. The master suite has a 32' HDTV, DVD/Blu-Ray player, queen bed and adjoining bathroom with Travertine marble, a glassed-in shower, double sink and jetted tub to work out those kinks after a hard day of play. A sundeck off the master provides a wonderful place to enjoy the mountain views and your morning coffee! The second bedroom has a queen bed with an HDTV and DVD player. A third bedroom has a daybed with trundle, two closets, flat screen TV and internet connected DVD/Blu-Ray player.

We had a fantastic stay in this historic house in the heart of CB. Great accommodations, nicely appointed, and easy walk to our favorite restaurants and bars. My good friend, a professional chef, made several photo worthy feasts in this well appointed kitchen. Fortunately, the dishwasher easily handled the cleaning. I can't say enough about our stay - Would definitely stay again. Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

The pictures in the house don't do it justice. The house is completely new with all the extras you expect out of a extremely nice rental. We had a group of 6 and were very comfortable with the space and the living/kitchen area is a perfect place to relax after hiking all day. The house is a short walk to all the restaurants and the bus stop that will take you to the resort so no need for a car. First time to CB and no question we will be backRecommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We recently stayed in this completely updated 4-bedroom home. Fantastic location in Crested Butte (walk to restaurants, shops etc.) The kitchen was extremely well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable, TV/cable in the bedrooms, and the showers/bathrooms were fantastic! Can't wait to come back in the winter and do some skiing! Crested Butte Resort was a 5-10 minute car ride away... Thank you for the excellent experience. WE WILL BE BACK!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

With a rustic exterior, ample street parking in front of this home and great, close access to everything in town, what could be better? One must open the front door and wow! All the comforts of a luxury home and more are just waiting to be explored. Great in-floor heating kept the morning chill off the toes. Ample beds and bedrooms allowed us to sleep our family and friends. (sleeps 9) The luxury furnishings have the feel of a five-star hotel, but the convenience as we chose, of cooking-in was available in the upscale kitchen with granite counters and top of the line Electrolux appliances. The outdoor charcoal grill was the best grill of its kind we have ever used which heats up in minutes and takes away the long and usual waiting time to cook over charcoal. We were down one bike and the onsite-to-share-bicycle allowed the whole family to going riding without renting the additionally needed bike. Thanks! With nice, comfy, luxury surroundings, we were able to REALLY relax, watch the end of the Olympics and the closing ceremony on the big screen TVs with the cable and really make some more great CB family memories!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was the perfect place for our summer vacation. The house itself is absolutely beautiful with all modern amenities. The home is extremely well kept and had everything we needed. The location was great! We were in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and anything else we wanted to do. We were also close to bike trails, city parks and the skatepark. It was great being so close to the bus route for the ski area. We really enjoyed having access to all of the ski area activities and also being in the middle of everything that went on in the town. We will definitely make this trip again and would definitely stay here again! Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Three generations of my family including four children ages 8 to 19, spent a week in August at this beautiful and spotless home in the historic town of Crested Butte. The owners have included all the comforts and the smallest details of cooking, grilling, sleeping, entertaining and relaxing. We walked, hiked, biked, rode horseback, explored, zip-lined and ski-lifted up the mountain. We attended art shows, the community theater, outdoor concert, picnics, parks, playgrounds, pick-up soccer games with the locals, rented bikes and strolled downtown every day. The flowers, green grasses and mountain views were outstanding and everyone was extremely friendly. We even participated in the annual "Rubber Ducky" races through the streams downtown. Hundreds of pictures, movies and memories will guarantee we will return again and again. Just go. It was spectacular!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
