We spent a long weekend at the "Treehouse" for my Father's 60th birthday and the home met all our expectations. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably and the view of the lake when we woke up was spectacular. Seeing this home in person was certainly just as incredible as the photos. The location was great with a quick 6 mile drive along the lake into town. We had planned on going out to dinner one night, but with the large chef's kitchen, outdoor grill, a kitchen table that could fit all 9 of us, and back deck and sitting area overlooking the lake there was no reason to leave. Bill was great to deal with and always responded in a timely manner to any questions or concerns we had. I would like to go back sometime in the summer when it is warmer to enjoy the lake. Don't miss out on this great experience as it is truly unique living in this luxury log home. We would definitely return for another stay. The only negative comment I have is that it was a little too early in the season that the dock by the lake was not yet in the water.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I've rented and owned numerous log cabins for hunting, fishing and plain old relaxing. This place surpassed all my expectations. It is by far one of the most gorgeous ones I had the honor of staying at. Not only did it have more than enough sleeping quarters for friends and family, but being on a very productive fishing lake made it even better. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our group of friends have been to this home so many times, it feels like our own vacation place, a second home! The views are amazing, no matter what time of year( we go off season) the house is spacious but welcoming. We hiked at the park nearby, usuallty we tube, but not enough snow this year. Some of us toured the local brewery and wandered the quaint town. The thing about the house, is, it makes you perfectly content to just sit, read, drink a nice glass of wine and just "BE". Only suggestion I have for the owners is maybe updating some of the kitchen items, they are either low on inventory( glassware) or pretty beat up! We use the kitchen for our big group, since we love to sit at the table and eat big feasts. We plan to come back again!Owner response: Thank you so much for the feedback and for your follow-up email today with your upgrade suggestions. Liz and I spent the afternoon shopping and buying lots of new items for the kitchen. We think you will be pleasantly surprised on your next visit! See you soon!

My stay at this luxury log home was beyond what I could have ever imagined. The pictures do not do it justice. This was the most beautiful property I have ever seen. I feel so fortunate I had an opportunity to stay at this home. The home was absolutely perfect. The fireplace worked well and kept us comfortable and warm each day and night. The bedrooms were all very clean and neat. The location was perfect for us. It was about 15 minutes outside of Cooperstown. We were there during the snowstorm that managed to bring about 8 inches of snow and yet, I could not have been more happy being indoors at this log home. Bill was so helpful throughout the entire process and kept in touch with me before, during, and after my stay. If you are thinking about renting a place, this is the place to rent. I am already looking into booking time at this home in the spring and/or summer. A truly remarkable, unforgettable experience, I highly recommend renting this property. And bring your camera!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I am writing on behalf of the 4 families that stayed in this beautiful home for five days immediately following Superstorm Sandy. Through a relative of the owner, three of my friends and I were able to send our wives and a total of 10 children up to Cooperstown from the Jersey Shore. Most of us sustained varying degrees of home damage, but we had no power and we knew it wasn't coming back anytime soon. Our families got there on 10/30 and then the three other Dads’ and I got there on 11/2 and stayed the weekend. I can't begin to tell you what it meant to us to be able to get our families out of "hell" and up to this beautiful place, while we started the cleanup and repair process on our own homes. My wife called to tell me what an unbelievable home it was, but I was not expecting the beauty and comfort that I found when I got there. There was every amenity imaginable. We never felt crowded at all and there was so much to do and see in this quaint little town. The children were always occupied whether at the house or at the local recreation center with an indoor pool, exercise equipment, rock climbing wall, racquet courts, etc, etc. We were able to cook and serve meals in the home very comfortably, as well as many dining choices locally. We will definitely come back at other times of the year and under better circumstances. Lastly, we can't thank The owner's enough for their generosity and thoughtfulness to offer their home to us in our time of need. It allowed us to "take care of business", and kept our children from being further traumatized from what was happening at home. It also provided the other Dad's and me an opportunity to blow off some steam and relax for the weekend. This place is a can't miss, and this is coming from the owner of a travel website who has stayed in countless great destinationsRecommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is my second time staying at the Tree House in Cooperstown and I have to say that my experience both times have been nothing short of AMAZING! My first visit was with family members and everyone had a great time. The second visit was with friends. My friends had such an amazing time that right after our stay they asked for the owner’s contact information so that they can reserve the property for future stays. Whether you’re planning a trip with family members or friends you’re sure to have a great time at this property. The pictures of the property are beautiful but pictures can only capture so much. You have to stay at the property to experience what my family/friends and I have. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. As for the owners of the property, they’ve been great. They were always available to take our calls/emails from booking to even after we completed our stay. The tree house is definitely a place my family/friends and I will return to.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Bill – The weekend we spent at the “Treehouse” was wonderful beyond words. Everyone had a marvelous time. What a perfect surprise birthday weekend. 2 of the in-laws told me it felt like it was their birthday, the weekend was so special. The lodge was so secluded, that I (a local) felt like I was a million miles from home. Sitting on the sofa sipping wine and looking at autumn colors and the lake, I thought, it doesn’t get better than this. I am sure you will be having more locals calling for a vacation in paradise, right in their own back yard. All the best. We just returned from a long weekend with 3 families (6 kids, 6 adults). The Treehouse is a wonderful property.... amazing views of the gorgeous lake, a large yard before the lake, comfortable sitting areas. It's perfect for groups with kids as the kids can play or watch TV on the lower level, while the adults relax in the living room or dining area. Plenty of space for everyone. And the house itself is very unique. The owner was incredibly accommodating during our stay and responded to some minor issues very quickly. We highly recommend and will be back again next year! Thanks!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Treehouse for a business planning retreat and had an amazing stay! There were 7 in our party and we had more than enough space and loved the home, the property, and the community. We had a chef (recommended by the homeowner) come by to make our group dinner one night and it was a great way to continue to enjoy the home and stay onsite. The people in Cooperstown were great and the entire trip worked out very well for a relaxing environment that allowed us to complete our business planning in a unique format. There were amazing views of the lake from every room as well as the decks/patios and the seating areas on the water made for great places to relax with a cup of coffee! I'd recommend the Treehouse to anyone and would definitely stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner response: The Treehouse, with 5 bedrooms along with the additional free-standing carriage house makes for a great business retreat. The Great Room offers plenty of gathering space for relaxed discussions and the large redwood dining table can function as a group work area or as a rustic boardroom table for the important decisions!

My friends and I rarely have an opportunity to get together to relax, play sport and just reminisce about old times. Everyone found something that they loved about the house or the nearby park and town. The house itself was professionally cleaned and prepared for our arrival. Some people loved to just sit in the living room and read while others went swimming or canoeing across the lake to the opposite shore. Having a BBQ on the deck was a lot of fun and since we had perfect weather. It was our favorite place to get together for lunch. We were all excited to discover the nearby park because we love playing volleyball and soccer. Plus it had a Frisbee golf course, which is a rare indeed. We will definitely be back since it has everything we could ask for :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you for the use of your beautiful, one of a kind lake home. We travel to Cooperstown exclusively for the lake (not baseball) and we could not have chosen a more perfect place to spend our week. The house is exquisite, with all the comforts of home and the location on the lake is perfect. Our only regret was having to leave!!! We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Lots of guests arrive and settle in at The Treehouse and decide to alter their itinerary to allow for maximum time at the home and to enjoy the solitude. We recently rented the Treehouse during our baseball team's trip to Cooperstown. What a place! Beautiful home, beautiful lake! The house had all the comforts of home and easily accomodated the 5 families we had staying there (our party also rented the Carriage house). Bill was very accomodating to our needs, but for those that are planning to rent here because of the size thinking you can entertain some or all of your team, read the rental agreement carefully!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The lake view and lake access were perfect and we added a rental of a water trampoline and rented a pontoon boat and the time on the lake was truly special. That alone made the trip special for us in addition to some great baseball. However, the interior of this home was disappointing. 2 of the 5 bedrooms are very small and with only 3 full bathrooms the house is smaller than it majestic exterior. The finishes are dated and not cleaned to our standards. Some of the mattresses were old, some of the furniture looks like office-max, little things like wine glasses were missing, everything needed batteries, not all electronics were even hooked up which was disappointing. The owner should be clear that when you do not rent the additional carriage house that the owner may be using that part of the property during the rental -- that was not our understanding and we thought we had exclusive use of the property during our rental so him appearing one night was startling and not consistent with expectations. We did have an issue with bats and bat droppings but the owner says he has now addressed that and we know those things happen. Most of our stay was at Cooperstown dream park but the one day we had on the lake was truly amazing. We even took the pontoon boat we rented to Blue Mingo for a dinner which was our favorite spot! Some attention and investment (and perhaps another bathroom) would make this house a great rental opportunity for the top dollar price point.Owner response: We try very hard to be responsive to our guests needs (as is evident throughout the on-line reviews posted below and at our different on-line guest books). However, if a guest chooses not to communicate their needs, there is nothing ANYONE can do to address them. We appreciate constructive input from our guests; it allows us to continually improve our offering, service and property. In this instance, we were able to address most of the concerns before the next guests arrived. Had we known of these concerns we would have been able to correct them even sooner. As demonstrated above, communication is critical in any type of transaction. Our listings, on-line photos and information are all up to date and clearly indicate the home contains 3 Full Baths and 1 Half Bath. As well, our direct emails with potential guests details the additional, but separate, carriage house apartment rental opportunity. We fully respect our guest's privacy and conduct our actions accordingly. Fortunately, our persistent efforts to provide a great lake front vacation experience is appreciated by virtually everyone who visits The Treehouse and those visits often result in repeat vacations by families and friends.

We needed a large house for our group of 10 adults and some babies, and we needed a central location as we were coming from Toronto, NYC, DC, Boston and Philadelphia and we stumbled upon this perfect haven. The drive up and the town are absolutely stunning, the owners Bill and Liz couldn't have been more accommodating and wonderful, and their home couldn't have been more perfect. Whether you want to wake up in the morning and jump in the lake for a refreshing swim, go fishing, take a canoe out or kayak, it's all right in your backyard. And if you want to go for a short drive and get the best ice cream you've ever had, head over to the Tunnicliff Creamery. I can't say enough to recommend this home, we loved every minute of our time there, and we cannot wait to be back next year!Owner response: Vacationing together...staying together...our home really allows friends and family to connect. Instead of small individual hotel rooms, The Treehouse provides a "vacation experience" that encourages interaction and allows for really special moments. Looking forward to welcoming you back!

Bill & Liz, My family and I would like to thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. When we pulled down the driveway my mouth dropped in amazement, the pictures just don't do it justice. At the end of the weekend we didn't want to leave. Everything about it was perfect and we all want to come back again. The view to the lake was stunning as was the care with which you decorated your home. We were very comfortable and happy to be there. Looking forward to returning again. LindaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: More and more families are recognizing the benefits of vacationing at private homes versus staying at hotels and motels. And we are aware there are more and more homes to select from. Our goal is to provide an excellent vacation experience which encourages repeat visits and word of mouth referrals. This begins with accurate and timely communication from the initial inquiry through the end of the vacation period. We are very blessed to have had the opportunity to purchase a great lake front parcel and to construct a lodge that is both architecturally appealing and very "user-friendly". Guests often tell us once they get settled in they prefer to simply stay at the home instead of exploring Cooperstown and the area. This positive feedback helps us to know we are on the right track. We are grateful to be able to share our bit of paradise with guests who enjoy the same type of lifestyle as do we. Looking forward to welcoming you back, Liz and Bill

We had a great time this weekend at the treehouse. We had everything we could have possibly needed except ice on the lake. Minor issue-drove 20 min to Canadarago lake for our annual ice fishing trip. Bill has outdone himself with his house and we will definitely be heading back again. We had 13 of us staying at the lake and 2 dinner guests and had more than enough room for everyone.thanks again Bill!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Winter time in Cooperstown usually finds several feet of snow on the ground and ice on the lake! The "brave" fisherman challenge the cold and the wind to land fish for dinner. Not so the winter of 2012! But we are happy to know the fair weather didn't prevent you from enjoying Cooperstown and The Treehouse! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

I would highly recommend this property! This is a stunning home - with an even more stunning view of the lake. We had a family weekend away to celebrate my father's birthday. Even with the larger group of people, the house was able to easily accomodate everyone comfortably. You will have the benefit of a quiet, secluded space, but still very close to main street cooperstown, the hall of fame, the art museum, etc. Very close to the Glimmerglass state park if you want to take a hike or bike ride. The owner is extremely easy to work and helpful. We were there in the fall, and would love to go back in the summer to take advantage of the lake. All in all, a wonderful spot where great family memories were made!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We really enjoy sharing our home and our very special spot on Otsego Lake. And we love to hear details about celebrations that take place here. Every season at The Treehouse provides for a new experience; certainly the summer months are the time to get INTO the lake. But Fall and Spring are also great times to kayak, sail or boat. And winter is the time to be ON the lake...ice fishing, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Lots of families come back again just to see the area at a different time of year. Hope to see you again.

This is truly a retreat: a place to relax, unwind, enjoy the quiet and the beauty of the surroundings. The log home is awesome: instantly welcoming, beautifully decorated and equipped, yet warm and inviting; we felt very comfortable and very much at home. The attention to detail is evident throughout. There is plenty of room for a large group; if you travel with kids, the lower level would be a perfect area for them to entertain themselves. I particularly enjoyed the fireplace on the main level (with a fire all set and ready to be lit when we arrived!). This is an ideal, all-season location, within minutes to Cooperstown and all that it offers, or to the other little villages in the area. Summer sports are right out the door (the lake is gorgeous), several museums and other historic sites are found right around the lake, and the state park is within walking distance. What I personally enjoyed most was the amazing sense of peacefulness I experienced from the moment I arrived.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We chose the Treehouse because we wanted Dreamspark week to be a vacation for the rest of our families while the boys played ball. And what a vacation it was!!! What a beautiful house! We shared this home with two other families and had PLENTY of room. Everyone had their own floor for privacy, and we shared the common areas. We also rented the cottage house for the grandparents. SO GLAD WE DID! They loved it and enjoyed having their own place to turn in to when they were ready. Most of our downtime at the house was spent at the lake either swimming, kayaking, fishing or just hanging out. Remember water shoes, THEY ARE A MUST because of all the sharp muscles on the rocks. Bill was the perfect host. They were expecting a hot week so he added an air conditioner to the cottage house at the last minute becuase he knew grandparents were staying there. You will not find that attention anywhere else. We also took advantage of the grill and firepit. Don't let the distance from the Dreamspark scare you away. The 15-20 minute ride is WORTH IT. We had friends staying by the Dreamspark who made the ride up to visit us and loved the lake. Wish we would have found this place two years ago when our first son plated at Dreamspark. We're out of son's now, so I guess we'll just have to plan a reunion at the Treehouse in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great place for a "Girl's Weekend". The house is very large, beautiful, and exceptionally clean. We spent the day on the large deck and kayaked to Glimmerglass State Park, and then dressed up and headed into town for an elegant dinner at Nicole's italian restaurant. We intended to spend some time at the day spa in town and have a drink on the veranda at the Otesaga but ran out of time, maybe next year.Recommended for: Girls getaway
Owner response: Our home is continuing to gain popularity as an ideal "girls weekend" destination. The Treehouse provides plenty of space to gather as a group and lots of bedrooms and quiet spaces when it's time to escape. Spend an afternoon at the spa and dinner on the town or use the chefs kitchen to prepare a wonderful meal right at home. Nice boutiques and quaint restaurants in the surrounding towns and hamlets. Come and escape to The Treehouse with your friends!

We could not have been more pleased with the house, the setting on the lake, the cleanliness, and thoughtfulness of the Millers, as owners. Ours was a group of 6 adults and 6 kids visiting the Hall of Fame for a long weekend. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the proximity to town made the baseball lovers very happy. The welcome package waiting for us upon arrival was a nice touch, as well as the Thank You note when we got home. Clearly, a lot of though and care was put into our stay by the Millers. The "Tree House" is perfect for a family vacation - secluded but so close to all local attractions. Relaxing and tranquil. The views of the lake are spectacular and we enjoyed playing and sitting by the lake even in the early spring. We really recommend staying at this house and visiting the Cooperstown area. The owners were very helpful in arranging our vacation, especially at short notice.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a week in this beautiful log home. The house exceeded our expectations in every way! The views from every room were spectacular and the location on the lake was perfect. We were lucky enough to have had mostly perfect weather, and the few days when it was rainy, we relaxed indoors by the gorgeous stone fireplace. This was a family vacation with ages ranging from 50s to 2 and everyone had a wonderful time. The nights by the bonfire were great as there was plenty of wood to be found which kept the younger ones busy! We are all hoping to return again, possibly in the warmer weather, so as to enjoy swimming, boating and fishing.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We feel a great sense of satisfaction and pleasure to hear first-hand how much fun and enjoyment our guests have had during their stay at The Treehouse. Many visitors enjoy the outdoors activities during the fall, winter and spring seasons because the area is so rich in recreational opportunities. And of course, it all just gets that much better again in the summer when the lake is warm and the fish are biting! See you soon, Bill and Liz

and by (semi)rustic, i only mean it's too finished a place to be considered rustic, but it's absolutely perfect. my two friends and i were the first to arrive, out of a group of 14, and we were all pretty much speechless as we drove up. what a place!! both, beautiful and absolutely comfortable. we hadn't even seen the lake, which only made us more excited. honestly, for a group (or family) getaway, it doesn't get any better. we're a kinetic group and had made a lot of plans for local excursions, but they all got scrapped. we caught the lazy bug and relaxed like i've heard you're supposed to do on a vacation. who knew? we did manage a few trips into cooperstown, which is very charming. we'll be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I would like to take a few minutes to let everyone know what a wonderful time we had staying at the Treehouse in Cooperstown on the weekend of Sept. 24Th. The owners of the house went above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need for a perfect weekend getaway. The decor was so warm and friendly, it made us feel so comfortable from the moment we walked into the home. We enjoyed reading about the history of the house and viewing the beautiful scenery around the lake. The weather was also on our side which made it great for the boys to go kayaking and fishing. Sitting on the dock watching everyone having fun was worth every moment. After dinner we went down by the lake and had a campfire in the fire pit which was already stocked with an ample supply of wood. Everything was just perfect, we all had the best time together and are still talking about our fabulous weekend memories. Hopefully next year we (the four couples) will have the opportunity to do it again and maybe stay additional days. Thank you again Bill for giving us the chance to share your home and I would definitely recommend the Treehouse to my friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I rented the Treehouse to use as our home base for us and our friends during the weekend of our wedding in Cooperstown. We all were extremely impressed with the beauty of the property and the uniqueness of the house. The owners were very nice and helpful, and I would absolutely recommend it to friends and relatives.Recommended for: Families with young children
Owner response: The Treehouse is becoming well know as a special location for events such as family reunions and, of course, weddings. Your wedding weekend was the second in a row and Liz and I are so glad you had perfect weather to celebrate your wedding day! Best of Luck!

We recently rented the Tree House on Labor Day Weekend for our Wedding that was held in Cooperstown. 3 weeks later, the wedding has been forgotten but people still talk about the house and their experience there. Gorgeous house with breathtaking views. Ridiculous amount of room and plenty of things to do. Owners are over the top with making sure you are comfortable and are very thorough on making sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Not to mention great people too. Easy to work with and extremely understanding. We had 10 people stay comfortably and had room for more. It was the absolut perfect fit for our needs and cant wait until we can make it back there. In my eyes, if ur going to make the trip to Cooperstown, there is only one place to stay and thats the Tree House. Thaks for everything Bill. You made our wedding one to remember for all that enjoyed your place. Looking forward to seeing you again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is truly a retreat: a place to relax, unwind, enjoy the quiet and the beauty of the surroundings. It was perfect for a weekend get-together with long-time friends. The log home is awesome: instantly welcoming, spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped, but warm and inviting; we felt very comfortable and very much at home. There is plenty of room for a large group; if you travel with kids, the lower level would be a perfect area for them to entertain themselves. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace on the main level (with a fire all set and ready to be lit when we arrived!) as a place to sit and catch up with each other. This is an ideal, all-season location, within minutes to the charming village of Cooperstown (of course, with the baseball museum but also so much more), or to the other little villages in the area. Summer sports are right out the door (the lake is gorgeous), several museums and other historic sites are found right around the lake, and the state park is within walking distance. There really is something for everyone, even if it is to just sit on the deck (or dock) and take it all in. What I personally enjoyed most was the amazing sense of peacefulness I experienced from the moment I arrived. What I liked least? Having to leave.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This splendid house was absolutely perfect for our family (CT, IL, MA, NY, TX) of 14 to gather, with plenty of comfortable space for group and quiet times. The separate cottage is adorable (and an extra bathroom is always welcome). We lacked nothing during our stay and really appreciated (the owner) Bill's kind attention. We had worried that the older teens/twenty-somethings would want to rush off after our "main event", but their jaws dropped when they arrived and they were some of the last to leave. The Treehouse was even better than we had hoped. There was something for everyone to enjoy in this lovely and historic part of the country. We certainly plan to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Nothing but the best! Absolutely stunning, serene, convenient. The kids had a back to basics vacation with campfires, songs, canoes, kayaking. The house is meticulous and has every amenity. A public park/beach is nearby across the lake and easy to reach by canoe. We are trying to book again but it is all booked for this summer!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We started renting out our home 6 years ago...at first for just 2 weeks per year. Now that our kids are grown and we, as a family have been using the home less during the summer months, we have developed a great reputation as an exceptional destination vacation home. Each year we generate more repeat visits from families that truly appreciate the experience of vacationing in a "real" handcrafted log home with an exceptional lakefront location, convenient to Cooperstown, yet remote enough to allow guests to really unwind. Book early!!

We were excited to be staying in a full sized home for the week our son was playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park, but we were floored when we arrived at how spacious and beautiful it was. The owners had done so much to make us feel as though we could live in their home for a week. An iPod docking station allowed us to listen to our own music and the kitchen, BBQ and deck allowed for some great meals! The water was chilly that week, but not for the younger kids who had a blast jumping off the dock and the floating dock a few yards off shore. Great location on the lake and 15 minutes from the Dreams Park. I'm quite certain we will visit the area again and when we do, we'll arrange our dates around the availability of this FANTASTIC property!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had 4 couples in our group and could not be more pleased with what we experienced.Looking at the detailed photos and description of this Treehouse Log Cabin you would think that it is too good to be true. From the moment we arrived at the entrance of this prestine Cabin the professional landscaping and architecture was amazing to say the least. The inside was very clean and well cared for with views of the lake from most bedrooms and some with balconies. The lakefront was perfect for any water activity or just gathering by the fire pit.All the amenities were outstanding and the information left by the owner Bill was extremely helpful. There was plenty of space to gather and relax either upstairs in the living room or the family room in the lower level both with views and patios overlooking the lake.Once again we would highly recommend this to anyone looking to pamper themselves and relax in a secluded lakefront cabin.Bill we cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and use of your home. All of us would not hesitate to stay there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had the extreme pleasure of staying at "The Treehouse" this Summer with several families while our boys were spending the week at Cooperstown Dreams Park. This is a beautiful, immaculate home on a heavenly lake. It is an ideal spot for families to swim, kayak etc since it is located out of the main boat traffic. The owners went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. Although we had several rainy, cool days to start off our stay, the giant fireplace provided a cozy spot to wake up with a cup of coffee and end our nights with a good glass of wine, great friends, many laughs and perfect memories for years to come. I would highly reccommend this home to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My family (wife and I, and six children from 18-8) stayed in your fabulous home just a couple of weeks ago. WOW! We were so pleased with your amazing Tree House that we are still telling folks about it. It was gorgeous, spacious, and well-appointed. It had all the amenities that you hope to find when you leave the chaos of the real world for a quiet retreat. The distance to Cooperstown was ideal, and we truly found rest and recuperation in your home. We cannot thank you enough for sharing this little taste of paradise with us! The kayaks were a big hit with all the kids, and my wife loved the kitchen. Even the little touches, like the "Guest Log" were simply spot on. You should be proud of your home, and we certainly know the only place we want to stay on every return visit to Cooperstown!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hey Tony, thanks again for all the kind words about our home and your trip to Cooperstown. We know Cooperstown was just one of the destinations on your "road trip" up the east coast and we are glad our home helped your entire family enjoy their time away from home! We look forward to meeting you perhaps on your next trip to Ctown!

Our entire group is still basking in the glow of a wonderful weekend in which this home was the star. The home was well-stocked, well-maintained, very clean and spacious. We rented it for a 40th birthday celebration and the group came from across the east..(Maine, DC, NYC) it was a good central location, Beautifully appointed home. We found it convenient to all Cooperstown area attractions. The lake view and access is as good as it gets! We didn't need to bring anything but ourselves and some food. The owner was exceptionally helpful from square one. Offering well-thought out suggestions on activities, dinner, directions etc. We had a weather-related power outage and Bill helped us right away. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to gather with their friends and family. We went in the winter and loved it. I can only imagine how amazing it is in the warmer months! We can't wait to go back and our kids can't stop talking about how much they enjoyed it too.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Julie and friends, Thank you for the kind words about your trip to Cooperstown and your stay in our lodge. We are delighted every time we hear about the great memories that were created at our home. As travelers and VRBO renters ourselves, we recognize the importance of providing an outstanding accommodation. Our goal is to provide a vacation experience that exceeds the visitor's expectation. This begins with the lodge itself, the furnishings, and of course, the cleanliness of the home. The home is fully prepared to allow guests to relax upon arrival. And we believe timely and concise communication between guest and owner is the foundation to a mutually satisfying transaction. From the very initial rental inquiry right through to arrival and then departure, we encourage email and phone contact to ensure a smooth and stress-free vacation. Our repeat visitors, some for 5 and 6 visits, is encouragement that we are providing a quality home and great vacation experience.
