Stay away from this house, it is not what they advertise, they don't fix anything and house not clean. They charge a lot of money and don't get what you need. Jacuzzi doesn't work, they say, they going to fix it, but don't do it at all. Also, sauna doesn't keep a heat, in few min it is getting cold. In the house wall and sill have holes.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We are not picky people but this property was obviously not suitable for any one of reasonable standards. Its funny, the review prior to ours is pretty much exactly what I have to say. We were there in early August and when we arrived the house was disgusting. The maid and the caretaker were contacted and did the best they could but the house was dirty and poorly maintained. The floors were dirty, kitchen was dirty, the leather sofa had a huge problem and was supported by about 50 towels, flys/bugs every where inside, beds were terrible with coil sticking up into you, bannister was missing bars, the cutlery and plates/cups were worse than my college dorm days. We rented this house for the weekend of June 1, 2012 and arrived to find this house is total disarray and unlivable. Among the issues were: -There was food on the walls, -a big bay front window was missing so hundreds of insects and moths were everywhere. -The banister was weak and a few of the supports had broken off. -the furniture in the family room was broken. a protruding piece of wood was sticking out of the leather couch. -the floors were filthy -mattresses were filthy -bathrooms had not been cleaned -the kitchen has not been cleaned -witnessed mice in the kitchen We were a prettty decent sized group with small children and simply could not stay there due to the place being not only being filthy and not ready for renters, but also dangerous to kids. We are not high maintenance people and just wanted to have a decent place to stay to enjoy Hunter Mountain for the weekend. We had to scramble to find a decent and clean place late on a Friday night and in the rain, which we did. The house was that bad. We tried to get our money back from the owner but he has been uncooperative. However, we don't believe this is the fault of the owner, as he has admittedly not been there for awhile. He also admitted to me the place was not ready for us, yet he still has not offered to fully refund our money. We believe the caretaker has not done his job and is now trying to deflect his ineptness to the renters. Simply, he is trying to save his job. Unless the owner can somehow prove the house is suitable, clean and ready for renters, its not worth staying here. Try and find a more suitable rental.
