Home away from home! Great ski vacation!

Guest: Tom C. (Plainview, NY)
Date of Stay: 02/20/12 Review Submitted: 02/27/12

What a beautiful house! Everything felt new and clean and had no signs of being a rental property. The homeowners, Mark and Pat, obviously take great care of their house. The house is more spacious than the pictures posted and the rooms are tastefully decorated. All the appliances, from the washer/dryer, kitchen, and bbq grill are in brand new condition. Utensils, cups, glasses, pots and pans are exactly where you would expected them and again in great condition. We were a party of 10, 4 adults and 6 children between the ages of 4 and 11. We skied 2 days at Butternut and 2 days at Jiminy Peak. Both mountains are about 30 minutes from the house. We didn't have time to ski Bosquet but plan to our next trip. Mark was very nice to work with and he was very helpful with recommendations. He highly recommeded we ski Butternut and he was right.... the kids loved it. We can't wait to return!

Owner response:Tom, Thanks so much for your nice review of our Pittsfield Home. I am really glad everything worked out for you and your family to have a really nice vacation. Hopefully the snow will cooperate a little better for you next year. I am glad you enjoyed Butternut Ski area, it is a little more than our mountain without the drama of Jimney Peak. Look forward to hearing from you next year, Best wishes for many years ahead Mark

Perfect Berskhire getaway!

Guest: Sheila M.
Date of Stay: 12/22/11 Review Submitted: 02/21/12

This townhome was the perfect choice for our family's Berkshire Christmas celebration. It is comfortable, spotless and gorgeously decorated. They even provided us with a Christmas tree that made us feel like we were home. There was plenty of room for the entire clan and conveniently located near Pittsfield center as well as the Southern Berkshire attractions. Our stay was in the early winter, but I can imagine returning for any season! Highly recommended!

Owner response:Thanks so much for the kind words. We sincerely hope you can return and stay with us again and we were very happy to make your Christmas vacation one to remember.. Best wishes, Mark Levin

Best Berkshire Winter Visit Ever

Guest: El Snowbird (Daytona Beach, FL)
Date of Stay: 02/10/11 Review Submitted: 02/17/11

As a Berkshire native now living in Florida, I've been returning there to visit family for many years. This winter we opted for a last-minute getaway with surfer stepson in tow for his first visit to snow country and first try at snowboarding. It was important to me that the visit be a special family time, which meant finding the PERFECT place to stay, and this was definitely it! We've done ski & beach rentals before, some of them turned out to be not quite as described, to say the least. Everything here was first-rate, from the linens to the kitchen furnishings, definitely NOT your typical rental. The skiing at Bousquet is great for first-timers and has-beens alike... by the second day, the kid was on the chairlift for multiple board runs, loved it! Thanks again to Mark for accommodating our last-minute plans and for making this home-at-the-Pines such a wonderful place. We'll be back.

Owner response:Thanks so much for your great comments. Look forward to you coming back again. Best wishes, Mark

Fantastic Rental and Great Location

Guest: Keith H. (South Windsor, CT USA)
Date of Stay: 12/28/10 Review Submitted: 01/04/11

We have rented many properties over the years and this one was one of our favorites. Four bedrooms and spacious layout, all brand new and spotless made this ideal for our family of eight. Not to mention all the extras... tv's everywhere, wii, air hockey, basketball game, wireless internet, even a slot car track! Development is right next to the base of the Bousquet ski area, a very small area but with terrain similar to other Berkshire mountains. We skiied one day at Bousquet, then a second night since too, since we could not pass up the $10 Thursday night special(does bring in a crowd) from 3pm to 10pm. Also, a lot of us grabbed the college student discount at Butternut(you need to complete and print the form from the web site before you go, and bring you ID), gets your ticket down to $30. Super Stop & Shop and several restaurants are right around the corner. We ate at Tex Mex which was ok, not great and at Matt Reilly's which we really liked and my daughter got a great piece of swordfish for just $11.75. Everything in the listing was as promised and Mark was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. You can't miss with this one!

Owner response:Thanks Keith, hope you come join us again! Glad you had a great vacation.

Amazing home!

Guest: Colleen (Boston, MA)
Date of Stay: 10/08/10 Review Submitted: 10/14/10

Six of us headed to the Berkshires for a wedding in October, 2010, and couldn't have been happier with our plans to stay at this home. It was just gorgeous - beautifully furnished. Everything was immaculate and comfortable - the beds were amazing, even the cookware was phenomenal. People who booked rooms in the nearby Ramada were green with envy. The layout allows for plenty of space and everyone to be able to stretch out and have some personal time and space as well as great common areas to enjoy each other's company. The back patio was wonderful in the morning for coffee or in the evening to watch the sun set. Dakotas, the Tex Mex, and Mezzeos were delicious! We are all looking for opportunities to return and would definitely book this home again!

Owner response:Thanks very much, glad you had a great time and enjoyed the time in the Berkshires. Hope to hear from yup again soon!

90th Birthday Celebration

Guest: Peggy (Philadelphia)
Date of Stay: 10/01/10 Review Submitted: 10/05/10

We felt like we were in our own home! The house is so well equipped - and having the Wii was an added bonus - kept those grandsons busy. Beautiful setting and great amenities. Very spacious and perfect for entertaining. I had my family here to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday - it was outstanding.. I grew up in Pittsfield and miss the Berkshires so it was nice to be able to enjoy the views and leaves starting to turn. Kids hiked to Laura's Tower (Stockbridge) on a beautiful fall day. I would highly recommend this as an exceptional place. Great location with plenty of shopping opportunities - don't miss the Pittsfield Rye Bakery. Mark was terrific to work with and provided us with all the info we needed. Hope I can get back there again some day.

Owner response:Peggy, Thanks again and glad your family had a great time. Hope to hear from you again.

THE BERKSHIRES

Date of Stay: 06/26/10 Review Submitted: 09/21/10

I have been very fortunate to have stayed here for 3 months and throughly enjoyed every minute. The house is wonderful for entertaining and haveing sleep over company. It is fully equipped with anything you would need for cooking and every day living. The owners take great pain in leaving the house clean and ready to move in, The location is perfect for getting almost anywhere in the Berkshires and also getting into NYC. Over all, a great vacation for either winter or summer. It is great for families.

Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind words, we look forward to you coming back next year Mark

We spent 2 plus weeks here August 2009 and had a very positive experience. We agree with all of the other comments. It's a beautiful new townhome that is not only spacious and nicely decorated, but very well equipped and immaculate. The location is very quiet and private and is perfect for your travels throughout Berkshire County. You will not be disappointed selecting this property for your vacation needs. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A truly lovely vacation house. The mattresses were incredible and the sheets and towels were real cotton. The location is excellent, minutes from everything you might want, including food shopping. When we arrived, the place was immaculate. The layout of the house, with the multi levels is wonderful for having guests. Everyone has their own "apartment". The air conditioning worked very well and all told, it was a most satisfactory vacation.

We spent July 2009 at this property and enjoyed it very much. The description and pictures on the website are very accurate. The owners spared no effort to make renters feel comfortable and the home was outfitted beautifully. The location is perefect for taking in all the Berkshires have to offer. The home features a lovely screened in porch which we enjoyed very much. A real plus! We rate our experience as extremely positive.

Our daughter's marriage took place in Pittsfield, and we rented this condo for a week. The condo was so beautifully appointed, we didn't need to bring anything but our clothing! The owners have spared no expense in providing total comfort. We were totally relaxed the entire time, able to enjoy the wedding and all the festivities. The furniture was very comfortable,( top of the line mattresses) and the condo area so quiet. We sat on the screened in porch and watched the wild turkey walking around in the area behind the yard! We visited the Rockwell Museum and the Clark Museum while here; plenty more to do, but we did have the wedding! We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Berkshires and rent this same condo or to recommend it to our friends.

Friends and I recently stayed at The Pines at Bousquet Mountain 4 bedroom Townhome. The house was beautiful... New, huge, perfectly located and fully equipped including flat screen TV's. The home is very well funished, expertly decorated and immaculate! We especially loved the downstairs livingroom where several of us watched movies on the comfortable L-Shaped sofa. We cooked an elaborate breakfast every morning and served it with amazing bread purchased at The Pittsfield Rye Company. Traveling from Pittsfield to the sceanic surrounding towns of Lenox, Great Barrington, Williamstown and North Adams was so easy. Seemed like everything was just a few minutes away. Can't wait to go again!
