At Casa de Megumi every guest is treated as a Blessing with friendly greetings and help for whatever you'd like to do during your vacation in Costa Rica, Pura Vida Country. Megumi is a Japanese word, which means blessing, abundance, and grace.
Our vacation rentals are located in a tranquil, 6-acre tropical property with beautiful gardens and mature trees, many kinds of birds and animals, and soul-touching, far-away ocean views.
Remodeling inside and out of all three rental units (1 house and 2 rooms) has just been completed by the new owners. The house (called Casa de Lantana) has a large roofed patio surrounded by mature trees and flowers. A land-line telephone is available in this house. Our property is completely fenced and gated for privacy and security and has parking spaces, large gardens and hillsides and a pool.
We now have high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access available throughout our property, whether at Casa de Lantana, or other rentals rooms, or even at the pool side. So, you can enjoy your vacation while still being connected to your office, family and friends at home.
Various kinds of tours can be arranged: volcanoes, Lake Arenal, hot springs, beaches, canopy tours, Butterfly Garden, Orchid Garden, coffee plantations, hiking, Cloud Forest, famous churches, flea markets, San Jose, Escazu, and other tourist spots.
If you want to experience a laid-back, friendly, safe vacation place, you are at the right place. We are about 4 miles from Atenas, which has many restaurants, sodas, supermarkets, medical and dental offices, banks, the post office, and many other places you need for ordinary living. You can go to Atenas by bus from our place for only 50 cents.
Friendly housekeeping, maid services, laundry services, authentic Japanese food made by the Japanese owner, typical Costa-Rican food, massage therapies, and professional coaching sessions are available upon advance requests.

Why the Owner Chose Atenas
Because of the world's best climate and beautiful sunset scenery from Casa Grande in a 6+ acre lot, in a very friendly Tico neighborhood. This was exactly what we wanted, after having traveled to many palces in Costa Rica. This is one of the most beautiful, friendliest, and safe places we have been to and at the same time it is close to all major facilities we may need, such as good hospitals and international malls.
