Perfect apartment. The photos give a true and honest discription of the place. There is lots of natural light, well laid out and the owners keep it very clean. Everything was in good working order. Lots of extras were provided beyond the Wine, Fruit, and Christmas treats, there was bar soap, paper towels, enough TP for the length of our stay etc. Having rented from VRBO 5 times now I have to say this was the best place we have stayed. Owners were very accommodating and friendly. Would stay again.

We loved this apartment! Located on the top floor of the building, it was as bright and sunny as weather permitted. The apartment was very clean and comfortable; all was exactly as shown in the pictures. The second bedroon is quite small but that was fine with us (even though we were 4 adults, we used the bedrooms only for sleeping!). The dining and sitting areas were very comfortable. The kitchen was good sized for Europe and the cabinets and refrigerator were well stocked with coffee, coffee filters, tea, crackers, rice, pasta, butter and cheese, etc.; and the owners left us a bottle of Reisling from a local vintner along with a loaf of bread and some traditional spice cookies (all were wonderful and greatly appreciated). Just around the corner was a fabulous bakery where we got our morning bagettes. And down the street from the bakery was a chocolatier with exquisite hot chocolate and handmade dark and milk chocolates. In the apartment was a lot of information on the surrounding area - from maps to museum brochures, as well as recommendations of various restaurants in the immediate area and downtown. The downtown area was within easy walking distance (as was the train station) so no car was needed. If we had the chance to visit Strasbourg again we would hope to stay in this apartment. We highly recommend it.

This was a perfect home away from home. Beisides being spotlessly clean and spacious, the owner provided several amenities that made us, as longer term (two weeks) tourists feel at home. The kitchen was proivsioned with baiscs such as olive oil, some spices, and a few snacks in addition to the owner's welcome gift of wine and pastry. The bedroom and bath were provisioned with towels and sheets to cover our entire stay, And, finally, the apartment was bright with natural light and all the furniture was comfortable. The owner was extremely prompt in responding to my questions and provided information both via e-mails and in the apartment itself regarding the offerings of Strasbourg. I even liked the four story walk up since the boulangerie next door and the Alasatien diet kept us in need of exercise. We travel almost every summer in Europe with our law school's foreign programs. This year we were in Strasbourg for the first time and enjoyed walking everywhere. Pharmacies, groceries, and doctors were all within a block. Sightseeing crowds and the downtown tourist attractions were a short walk away and it was worth the distance for the quiet nights this place provided. We were also within walking distance of the train station, cinema, and some wonderful restaurants. We have rented apartments in many places over the summers we have traveled in Europe for this program. This is one time where we found that the place actually surpassed its description which is a hugely pleasant and wecome surprise. If we return to Strasbourg, this place would be our first choice.

We absolutely loved the apartment. Not only was it airy, clean and spacious, but it was also decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The location is within walking distance to all shopping, sightseeing and even the train station. The "piece de resistance" were all the Christmas goodies and bottle of Champagne for "Noel". Strasbourg is a beautiful city, and seeing it decorated for the holidays was truly "magical". Visiting Colmar was like being dropped into a Hansel and Gretel fairy-tale. I would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone who is planning a visit to Strasbourg. And yes we had lots of snow for Christmas!

We rented this delightful apartment in order for the two of us to visit Strasbourg's famous Christmas markets. We found the apartment also decorated for the season which added to the festivity of our visit. This was very thoughtful. The apartment is comfortable, very light, airy, and surprisingly spacioius feeling. It is well equipped with all the necessaries for a comfortable stay. The process of arrival and departure was facilitated by our understanding host and much appreciated. The apartment is even warmer and more delightful than the photos show. Definitely a five star apartment.

We just returned from a wonderful 8 days in Strasbourg. This apartment is great. It is very comfortable and well maintained. The owners left a great bottle of wine, fruit and sweet cakes for our arrival. That was a nice touch. The apartment is in a great location. Most everything is in easy walking distance. The restaurants are excellent. Plan some side trips to places like Colmar and Obernai. The owner of the place was excellent to deal with and offered some local advice on must see spots. It is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our week in Strasbourg and loved this apartment. The owners were very helpful, and we appreciated the bottle of wine and bread on arrival. The apartment is very well appointed. The windows made it light and airy. There are plenty of stores in the neighborhood. The historic center is a short walk away. We walked over a different bridge every time we went into the center. Even though Strasbourg has lots of tourism, the city never felt overrun with tourists. We would recommend the sightseeing boat. We took it late in the afternoon and took the uncovered one. It was great. The Chinese restaurant next door was exceptional - highly recommended. We would go back again and recommend this apartment and this city to friends.

I loved this apartment! It is charming, cozy, quiet, immaculately clean, well equipped, and in an ideal location - very close to the old city, a huge shopping center, movies, restaurants, and several wonderful bakeries. The apartment was more than I had hoped for, more beautiful and more amenities than the pictures and listing suggested, and a perfect place to stay in Strasbourg! I will recommend this to my friends and relatives as long as they have no problem climbing stairs since it is on the 4th floor. The owners were very helpful in answering my questions before my departure, met me at the apartment once I arrived, and made every effort to make sure I had everything I needed. I'm looking forward to staying in the apartment again on my next visit to Strasbourg.

We were fortunate to spend two weeks at Christmas in this lovely apartment. It was bright, well furnished, and nicely decorated for the holidays. The owners and caretakers have made this a very clean and welcoming home away from home. Finding some surprise food and drinks waiting for us was a lovely treat, which was very welcome after a very long day of travel. There was even a box of toys and activities that made our daughter feel right at home. The location is great. We had been to Strasbourg several times before this trip, but somehow when I looked at the map I still thought the apartment would be further from everything I wanted to see than it was. Truly, everything was a very easy walk, and yet we were on a quiet, residential street. Although there is plenty of wonderful food in Strasbourg, it was also nice to have a full kitchen in the apartment to cook when we wanted a night at home. I think you won't be disappointed.

If you read the previous comments, we could not agree more. Our hosts were wonderful, gracious people. The accommodations are first class, top of the line. The location is perfect, you must try the Chinese restaurant two doors from the apartment. We arrived very late and it was not a problem. Loved it!!

This apartment was very comfortable, quiet, bright and well-equipped, in a more residential neighborhood but within easy walking distance to the center. Because the apartment was only a few blocks from the site of my seminar, I was able to hold meetings at the good-sized dining room table. The bottle of wine and the fridge stocked with basic groceries were much appreciated!

We had a great week exploring Strasbourg and nearby Colmar. The apartment location made it possible to see all the local sights on foot. The spacious, comfortable, completely furnished and equipped apartment was a welcome place to return to each day - it made the trip that much more enjoyable.

I had an amazing time at this apartment and loved this part of France! The owners live in the area and are very kind and informative. It was nice to arrive after a long flight and find a fresh baguette, basic groceries, and a fabulous bottle of cabernet sauvignon at the apartment. Strasbourg has gorgeous architecture and is surrouded by lovely towns in France, Germany and Switzerland including Colmar and Baden Baden- all within short train rides from the near by train station!

Wonderful apartment -- impeccable, great location, updated. We loved walking to Petite France, the Cathedral and the many restaurants in the city. We took the city boat tour and loved seeing the sights from the river. Day trip to Riquewihr via train-bus was lots of fun. Groceries were very convenient as well as the train station. The local family took great care of us, even having food treats waiting for us on arrival. A+!

This apartment was absolutely wonderful! There were windows everywhere, a comfortable sofa, a beautiful bedroom with plenty of space for clothing to be put away, a great bathroom with a hairdryer, and the kitchen was divine. The location was perfect for us. A bakery was just around the corner and a small grocery/convenience store was a couple blocks further. The apartment is three to four blocks from Place des Halles which is a large mall. A major tram stop is located right there. Public transportation was wonderfully easy to get around the city. The cathedral and two museaums are within easy walking distance. We had such a good time in Strasbourg and the apartment was a huge reason we were so comfortable. The renters were very kind, informative and gracious. We hope this place is available for you when you go to Strasbourg. You will love it!
