Sunset Lodge, our "Mountain Home" is a beautiful custom built 5000 square foot private house with three levels and vaulted ceilings. The house is located near the top of the ridge on Solamere Drive in the Lower Deer Valley area. One of the few houses in the Solamere area with unobstructed, spectacular views. You will end your day of skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or mountain biking enjoying the fantastic sunset view from the balcony deck off of the timbered Great Room. Then relax in the large hot tub on the outside deck overlooking the Park City Valley.
Our NON-SMOKING, NO PET home is perfect for a large extended family or just as good for one, two or three couples with or without children who want the privacy of their own house. You are a little over one mile from the main Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley and two miles from Historic Park City's Old Town Main Street with many great restaurants and interesting shopping. Fly into the Salt Lake City International Airport, pick-up your rental car, and you can be at Sunset Lodge in 45 minutes unless you stop to make purchases on your way through Park City.
There are no houses behind or in front of our home. The houses on each side enjoy the same private feeling and views. The driveway up to the garage is short. Sunset Lodge is located on a quiet drive with little traffic in an exclusive area of Lower Deer Valley.
The Deer Valley Ski Resort offers complimentary ski storage at Snow Park Lodge so there is no need to carry your skis to the car after skiing - unless you plan to ski one of the other great Utah resorts within easy driving distance. The Park City Ski Resort and The Canyons Ski Resort are minutes away. Solitude and Brighton are located in Big Cottonwood Canyon; Alta and Snowbird are located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, both are an hours drive away. We have an efficient forced air dryer for six pairs of boots AND six pairs of gloves in the ground floor entry area so wet boots and gloves will never be an issue when you spend your skiing/snowboarding vacation at Sunset Lodge.
The entire house has a beautiful, spacious open floor plan with custom furnishings. On the main level enjoy the Great Room with vaulted ceilings encompassing the gourmet kitchen, large dining area, wet bar and wood burning fireplace with a telescope to enjoy a "down valley" view overlooking Park City. The separate Entertainment Room includes a 61 inch High Definition television with HD cable box including DVR, 80Gb PlayStation 3 with 2 wireless Dual Shock controllers, game table and great views. The PS3 is a Blu-ray DVD and regular DVD player with Sony Blu-ray remote. The second master bedroom is located on the main level.
The upper level has a separate seating area for quiet reading and the master bedroom. The two master bedrooms have gas fireplaces, HD TVs, DVD players and seating areas. Both master bathrooms have separate large jetted tubs and stall showers.
All four bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with double sinks and there is a powder room adjacent to the Great Room on the main level.
The lower level has a second living area with fireplace, regulation pool table, and an office area with a computer for your use, including a printer, copier, and scanner. If you must work while on vacation, you will have the facility to make it easier. Hard wired or wireless broadband internet is included.
One of our property managers will greet you upon arrival. We ask that you call them from the airport so they can be waiting for you. They will already have freshened the house, arranged for any special needs you have requested, turned up the radiant floor heating and adjusted the temperature in the hot tub in anticipation of your arrival. They will show you how everything works, give you the keys and garage door opener, and then leave you to enjoy your vacation. They are Park City locals and are always available to assist with any problems that could arise during your stay at Sunset Lodge. You will not be stranded by distant management. You will contact the property managers on your departure day and they will meet you at the house to see you off and lock-up. They will perform a through inspection of the property and arrange for the housekeeper. They report any damage, breakage or smoking to us.
Mid-week housekeeping or daily maid services are available for an additional fee.

Cancellations: If more than 60 days before arrival date, full refund less $250.00 fee; less than 60 days before arrival date, renter will receive no refund unless the house can be re-rented, less a $250.00 fee.

- Washer: Full laundry room with full sized washer, dryer and sink.
- Dryer: Full laundry room with full sized washer, dryer and sink.
- Linens Provided: Fitted sheets and fluffy towels are provided. Separate hot tub towels are also provided.
- Garage: There is an attached garage with automatic openers including additional refrigerator for your use. The driveway is short. Snow removal is automatically provided for the driveway and exterior decks when it snows. The snow removal equipment requires access to the driveway - NO parking on the driveway. The garage easily accommodates 2 vehicles if BOTH are NOT Suburbans, Expeditions, Escalades, Armadas or Yukons. Driveway must be clear for snow removal.
- Gas Fireplace (3) : Both master bedrooms and the lower level family room have gas fireplaces.
- Wood Fireplace: The "Gathering Area" of the Great Room on the Main Level has a gas started, wood burning fireplace. The chimney has an efficient chimney fan that assures no smoke will enter the house. The chimney fan MUST be used at all times when using the fireplace. If the fan is not used, it will be damaged causing additional charges. We provide Pinon wood because it burns cleanly and pops less often and less severely. Please use the fireplace screen. The wood is stored in the garage.

- King Bed (2) : Both master bedrooms have King Beds with fitted sheets and duvet covers for your comfort.
- Queen Bed (2) : The lower level bedroom has a Queen Bed with fitted sheets and a duvet cover for your comfort. One of the lower beds in the bunk room is a Queen.

- Bunk Bed (3) : Our fourth bedroom is a large bunk room. We have three sets of bunk beds. One is a double over a double, the second is a twin over a queen, and the third is a twin over a twin.
- Crib (2) : We have one regular full sized crib that stores under the stairway on the lower level. We also have a port-a-crib/play station that you can set-up anywhere in the house you desire. Crib linens are provided.

- Cable/Satellite TV (5) : The Entertainment Room on the Main Level has a 61 inch High Definition TV with attached HD cable box including DVR, and a new 80Gb PlayStation 3 with 2 Sony wireless Dual Shock controllers. The PS3 is a Blu-ray DVD and regular DVD player and has the Sony Blu-ray remote. Both master bedrooms and the bunk room have HD TVs with DVD players, the ground floor bedroom has regular cable TV.

- Private Hot Tub: The eight person Hot Tub on the exterior deck overlooks the expansive view down valley to Park City. On the day of your arrival, our property manager will warm the hot tub. He will show you how to adjust the temperature and use the jets and air blower. The hot tub will heat in a reasonable time period.

- Full Kitchen: We have prepared the kitchen to allow preparation of perfect meals for a couple or the entire "family reunion." There is even a wet bar/prep sink in addition to the regular double sink. There is a Sub Zero refrigerator, 5 burner gas cook top, single oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, food processor, teapot, toaster, blender, large crockpot, and bottled water dispenser. We provide a full dining service for 12 adults including white and red wine glasses.
- Cooking Utensils Provided: All of the necessary cookware, pots, pans, pizza pan, cookie sheets, utensils, cutlery, etc. are provided.

- Mountain View: The entire Park City Valley is the vista in front of the house. The Great Room has a neat telescope to view the valley and surrounding mountains. The sunset views are different daily and spectacular.

- Computer: There is a desktop Dell computer with high speed broadband internet access in the office area of the Lower Level for your use as a "Guest." An attached 4-in-1 printer, scanner and copier is also provided.
- Broadband Internet: High speed broadband cable internet access is provided, both wireless and hard wired.
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): Wireless high speed broadband internet access is provided.
- Other Amenities
- The stereo system is located in the Great Room cabinet with a 5 disc CD player, AM/FM radio and iPod cable. The speakers are separately controlled for each room so you can choose which rooms speakers are activated. The speakers are located in the Great Room, Entertainment Room, lower level Pool Table room, the top floor Master bedroom and on the outdoor Hot Tub deck. A forced air six pair boot AND six pair glove dryer is inside on the lower level. There is radiant floor heat throughout the entire house.

- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Minimum age for the main renter is 25 years. Our property manager will verify age on your driver's license upon check-in procedure and showing you the house.
- Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the house. If the Property Manager or Housekeeper finds evidence of tobacco use inside the house a $500.00 decontamination fee will be charged against your security deposit.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Solamere
Deer Valley is a great location for a winter "ski" house and a summer "hiking/biking" house. You cannot beat the convenience of flying into Salt Lake City International airport and being at our house in under an hour. Deer Valley Ski Resort is one mile away and there are a number of fabulous ski resorts within easy driving distance. The summer hiking and biking is unmatched in our opinion.
The Unique Benefits at this Private Custom Built House
We fell in love with the fantasatic views of the surrounding mountains and the Park City valley. Enjoying the fabulous deck to look "down valley" over Park City is wonderful, especially at sunset. We enjoy music and have a nice stereo system with speakers in a number of the rooms and on the deck. There are many ways to relax in our mountain home.
The main lodge for the Deer Valley Ski Resort. One mile from our house, "Sunset Lodge." Valet ski attendants. Free overnight ski storage.

We grew up in Southern California and were fortunate to enjoy both mountain and oceanside activities. We live and work in the Miami, Florida area. We both love sunsets. Our goal was to be able to retire with a mountain house and a oceanside house. "Sunset Lodge" is our Deer Valley mountain house with a spectacular sunset view "down valley" overlooking Park City. We also have a Florida Keys house, "Sunset Reef," with an equally fantastic sunset view. We are blessed in life with great family and good friends.
